All of the great African American women singers have passed on. Diana is still among the few great traditional African American singers, that are still living. She is now 77 years old now. And she looks stunning.
When I watch some of the so called mega stars of today and the quality of the music I feel just so privileged to have lived at the same time as stars such as Diana , Gladys , Aretha , luther, Marvin.
Oh, Diana, you truly are America's princess. Thank you for your music and your magical performances. You're beyond beautiful in so many ways and I love you.
I'm still in love with everything she is, what a voice, what a body and what a beautiful woman she is ,I just watched her last week at the Grammy's and She was WONDERFUL
They’re all British celebrities/personalities: Ian Wright, Footballer Linford Christie, gold medalist sprinter Bruce Jones, actor “H’ singer/dancer out of the British group, Steps (Steps had a huge hit with a cover version of Diana’s “Chain Reaction”)
She's a grand performer, an entertainer, a charming personality with the ability to make the audience eat out of her hand. Ross has honed her craft. It takes all that and a good vocal performance all of it goes into being a STAR. Diana is 75 years old she's amazing many no longer have a voice at that age! She's shining something you & other pretenders can't deliver to an audience. Being a STAR takes so much more than, just being a strong vocalist. Your critique is pedestrian. Doing a solo show is hard work because you must hold the audience for hours. Ms. Ross makes it appear effortless. That is STAR quality you either have it or you don't!
It's your video. Ross did not engage in such behavior during that Era. I can't completely say that today since our most beautiful and gracious singer does suffer from voice fatigue, but it's mainly due to that she overworks herself because she is one of the very few superstars that goes the extra mile for us the Fans. She always has. Even if she does, after 60+ years in the business she can afford to do so. There are a lot of singers that engage in it just about all the time, so she is still in class by herself. Ross is still the Boss!
You don't have a clue about singing a 3 hour live set and rehearsing for untold hours. That is a lot of wear & tear on the vocal chords. A singer has to pace herself. Vocal chords are delicate instruments. Just have a seat amateur. You can't speak live for 1 hour daily w/o getting hoarse. Smh. You can't do it ever.
@lsaturn01 Well, who has not gained weight. you expect a woman who is almost 80 to still have the same body as in her much younger years.... seriously!?!?!?!?
