Holy cow, what a fabulous gown! Love that she has kept faith with the Supremes hit and done them as they were originally done. Very few artists resist the temptation to embellish their hits in some way as the years pass. Ross lets the songs speak for themselves.

However, the Supremes or Diana Ross & the Supremes were never a REAL GROUP & she ended up singing all the HITS (& songs). Even after Flo left, she still recorded many of the songs/hits without any of the Supremes. That’s why when Diana left the group, THE WORLD CONTINUED TO BUY THE SOLO ACT OF THAT LEAD SINGER’S VOICE. The remaining other group members NEEDED ANOTHER LEAD replacement because they could not sell pretty much without that STAR.YOU CHOOSE NOT TO ACCEPT THAT, but the WORLD AGREES WITH ME for that’s how it operates. That's why she is the only that is still marketable.

Background singers, whether they had a name or not, are background singers, whether they were Mary, Florence, Cindy, Andantes, Ashford and Simpson, Water Sisters, etc. when Diana was with the Supremes. Thus, she was still SOLO. You may like her solo material with the Supremes better. That’s your choice. For example, “Love Child” or “Someday Well Be Together” did not have Mary, Flo, or Cindy in the background. Motown promoted a charade.
