What I love with Diana Ross (well I love pretty much everything about her. She's my all time favorite singer) is she always gives quality interviews. She's funny, intelligent and always knows how to cultivate chemistry with the interviewer, be it David Letterman, Barbara Walters, etc.
Diana is killing it with the hand gestures throughout her performance 6:54 and on. she express her self through her body movements eyes shoulders. and those ever waving arms and fingers..she commands the stage..she don't just stand there.
6:54 THAT'S UNCALLED FOR ITS BAFFLING HOW FOLKS ALWAYS HAVE TO JUDGE AND BE CRITICAL WHAT WAS THE POINT YOUR OPINION THERE LIKE ASSHOLES WE ALL HAVE ONE DON'T MEAN WE HAVE TO SHOW IT
@uknow who I agree Diana has definitely seen it. It is rumoured that she went one night to the Broadway show in a black veil, and sat at the back of the theatre. It sounds like something she would do.
When Diana was younger she would do shows like Laugh In and had a great comic talent. I wish she could have done a comedy. Remember in Mahogany when she was in the Unemployment line? She was hilarious. She is such a well rounded personality entertainer singer actress fashion icon beauty icon...and that still doesn't cover it. This is one of my fav performances...she is so sexy...she reminds me of a 1930's movie queen (I keep thinking "Hedy Lamarr".)
Oh, she's a RIOT! I never knew she was so funny. When she was on Oprah, for the 'farewell' season, Oprah asked her about her reputation for being a diva and 'demanding' that she be called "Miss. Ross". She said, when dealing with people who are much younger, it's just a question of respect, but that she never DEMANDED that people address her as such... OPRAH: "Never?" DIANA: "Oh, goodness no. I like it, though!" The audience was rolling!
themirrorsofmymind I remember that also ,it made me laugh out loud because I wasn't expecting her to say she doesn't demand it but , she likes though was funny I loved that response it was natural and sincere , and that's what makes it funny and memorable

@@brianwoods9741 Like when she was singing My Man to Berry Gordy...she was romantic, sensual, , earthy..and hilarious...I can see how her reputation as "the life of the party" came to be. I mean she is one of the historic global party girls from the Studio 54 days...Cher said she hated her at first because Diana could never remember her name...but came to love her because she's "a funky get down broad" a true Cher quote from around 1976 from Essense or Interview can't remember which but I never forgot it. Cher had a girl crush on her.
Diana, you always sing so beautifully. I fell in love with you watching you perform as a 9 year old in Central Park. Always loved you babe, perhaps today more than yesterday :)
I LOVE YOU MORE TODAY!!! AND YESTERDAY🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😘 The Boss Ross, You are my favorite female deva singer. I wish I had a singing voice like you!!! LADY FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!😘😘😘😘😘😘
Love her interviews with Letterman. He's remarked in the past about the her connection to that Ed Sullivan studio. Prob would have been worth repeating for the younger kids. Nice Supremes tribute by Paul and his band at 06:04. Awesome performance too!
3677danieir Before u dismiss the Supremes, I would just like to mention how successful they became after Diana was replaced by the wonderful Jean Terrell.
In early years it wasn't just djana ppl loved it was the trio flo mary djana if so jt would been just diana alone and she prob wouldn't be as famous today without the supremes berry seen that diana wanted stardom and he wanted be rich perfect combo
We don't know these people at all. We just know their image they want us to see. That's fine !! I think we could be quite disappointed if we knew otherwise.
Dave was all over her he didn't care what she was singing go head ms ross still pulling them in your sixty the voice changes as you age look at Madonna they are dragging her a cross the stage .
Why should she? Unlike Mary, she didn't need them to define her. She's a solo artist. She left Diana Ross and The Supremes in 1970. A long, long time ago.
How do you all know whether she is lip synching or not ? She is on a T.V. show . She could be to make it sound better. How would you know ? She's not going to tell you.
