Saw these guys performing to 20 people in our dorm back in the day. Doesn't matter the size of the audience, these guys always put on a killer show. Proud to see them do the Ryman
Feel very fortunate to have gone to school with him and witness his progression since we were teenagers. Still to this day he’s the greatest player I’ve ever jammed with.
Really love the old ‘Performer’ design. I play bass, and I played a mint green Fender Performer bass around 1990/‘92. I loved that bass, although it had its issues. She needed a full set-up before every rehearsal or gig! Because of her, I taught myself how to set-up my basses back in the day. I traded her in for a Ernie Ball StingRay I play to this day: set-ups are way more easy!! But she was a looker and sounded so beautiful! I love playing in my bands until this day; I’m an old geezer now, but I would love it if Fender would reissue the Performer bass!! I’ll get one: I miss her. I play various other brands too, but I’m a Fender person first and foremost, because of her: the Performer bitch... (I don’t mean to offend anybody by the notion of ‘bitch’ in this comment: she was a beautiful sounding but hard to work with bassguitar. I learned a lot because of her. And I wished I’d never sold her.) Cheers, @
Never heard of this band but this has to be one of the most entertaining and enjoyable episodes. Love when the band is knowledgeable about their gear and just seem like cool people. Gonna check out the band!
Great Band, great interview. Love this coverage. Thank you! For a while my dream tour was these guys and Fang Island. I would've required neck surgery after that show from head-banging so hard. Great job!
Someone recently told me that calling someone "dude" can be taken as a bad thing. If this is true, then some people must hate me for no good reason. 🤷♂
ah nice didn't expect to hear Celtic Frost here! I didn't know Tom did the tone knob thing, I know the Eyehategod guitar sound is the tone knob all the way down. Cheers
