Enjoy your comparison and honest view. I have a few of the older F405 on my 2.5-3" build. Great value and reliable. Just built a 5" Reverb with F722S and truthfully, a lot of the fancy features are surplus to my needs. I will follow your advice get more 405 for future build and save some $. Btw, i got a Sanchez from Armattan production last week. Fantastic and great fun with this lightweight 3". So zippy and quiet around the park. Keep up the good work.
Hi, thank you for this good video. I checked before on the seller website and their is some schema for both, I found more UART (6 instead of 3) for the F7 that is important if you need a GPS for example,
The F722 is the killer DJI stack right now. The 9V 2A BEC is perfect to power the Air Unit and the built in OSD is nice to have with the issues people are running into with the no OSD Holybro and iFlight F7 stacks (PID loop inconsistencies when the target expects there to be an OSD chip but none is there)
That extra board with the pinout marking isn't useless! It has a square solder pad (next to LED pad) and can be used for extra noise shielding! You can solder a wire from the ground to that pad and put the board between ESC and FC!
realy bro i never new that i had the mamba f405 stack a while now and ive had no end of noise in my camera feed tryed the same cam and vtx ground trick still not much better ill have to try this next time its apart for repairs thanx bro nice one i more thing esc full power ground or as i think the 9v vtx ground
@@Mr18031967 I'm on DJI and haven't used it myself, but I'd probably just tap it on to ESC ground because it seems to be the closest and as grounded as it gets 😁
@@Arthur4all im also on dji but i race as well so have to use anolog maybe oneday there get it sortid so we can race dji but ive done it i put the ground on the vtx ground and its fine now so thanks bro
I finally blew an esc on a 45a AIO FC/ESC board on my 5 inch. Got the F7 50a to replace it with. The 45a board lasted me several months and many many crashes. Hopefully the 50a stack will last even longer. I've had good luck with Diatone Mamba 20x20 stacks in 3 and 4 inch quads.
I have the f722s and absolutely love it!! Definitely my fc ever and I have had a ton of other fc’s. It flys so smoothly and the Bluetooth is a function that most 30x30 stacks should have. I think they hit it out of the park with this setup!!! Thanks for the overview for other people to see! 👍👍
how high is the stack? What are the precise measurements of the width, length and height including the rubber pads? I have to mount it on a micro apec .. very narrow frame!
Dave I have a F405 board and I wanted to set up LEDs in betaflight but hey would not work. I tried using all the different LED soldering pads that are available but none of them actually worked the LED never turned on. I know the LEDs are good because they work on a different flight controller but not the mamba F405. any idea why they dont work with this board and is there any way to fix this.
I wanna use iFlight XING-E Pro 2207 1800KV 3-6S Brushless Motor with this 30.5x30.5mm MAMBA Stack Basic F405 MK3 F4 Flight Controller F50_BLS / F50_BL32 50A 3-6S.... Do I need to up to F7?
6inch or 7inch build doesnt need to have high amp draws.. my 7inch long range build draws less amps, than my 5inch freestyle quad :D other than that, great video :)
Hey, i run 3 mamba stacks and they all have 9V and 5V output.. Ill run all my vtx's on 9v (cleaner than vbat).. i hope i answsered your question.. Greetings 👍
Hmm - But as I know - F405 has higher rank - then F722 (F405 has more ram and has more future for Betaflight 4.7-4.9 version ) F745 is much better - but try to find it )))))))
F722 a bit faster, but it's not important at all, compare low, small ram. has some uart differences, but also no matter.... If I have 405 option and 722, need to choose 405, for sure.
