Feel so bad for Nick here, having to fight with 2 ruptured disks in your neck just to pay off the debt of being popped for weed when it's now legalized. Awful situation
@@daisybluegroff what? He got good match ups. Condit is a striker, lost a close Dec. Still given a title shot to GSP. Fights Anderson Silva coming off his broken leg, and now an old vet in Lawler. He was given great match ups
This is what an unmotivated, non committed, injured, desperate Nick Diaz looked like after 6 years off. If dude could get everything together he could still put on some great fights.
We're currently in the end of an era in my opinion. Fighters like these don't exist anymore and if they do, father time is right on their doorstep. It's part of the game but still so fucking heartbreaking. I wanted this fight to showcase the last of the real ones, but it's just not there anymore. I'm excited to see what the new breed has to offer, but I'm so grateful this channel exists to time jump you into those old scraps like their first match up. This second one, I kind of wish it never happened and Diaz kept that status he had before. Now everyone just shows you this fight and it's almost impossible to defend.
Fighters are always going to be the same self harming violent meatheads and there's always going to be brawlers. There's Gaethje and Lineker and violent grapplers like Chimaev and dumb action fighters like Costa, why do old people have to romanticize everything.

Larone back to posting regularly is something I didn’t realize how bad I needed, I still can watch old videos from the catalogue I haven’t seen but he’s posted a few banger banger best moments, hoping we get full best moments video for ortega v volk they actually trashed kinda hard on each other lol Edit:totally spaced he did volk v Ortega TUF which are low key his best videos no way I’d ever watch the full seasons now lol
Regardless of how bad his neck is/was . You can tell he doesn't have that hunger or fire anymore to fight. Kinda reminded me of when Rocky fought Clubber Lang the 1st time. But Still an OG ( both of them Lawler and Diaz) . Much love to Nick !!
“Are you good….in life? Lmk if I can fucking help” Robbie’s a OG & loved by everyone, Nick wasn’t ready to comeback I wanna see him motivated with a full camp
He was in good shape as shown on his instagram, he’d regularly compete in triathlons up until this fight. I guess he was so out of shape because he had a herniated disc(surgery with his neck or something ) as Cesar Gracie said. I think he would’ve been lawler if he was in fight shape
@@209balls yea he was in shape literally a year before this fight but his neck was fucked so he stopped Working out he came back the wirst time rushed it but he wanted to fight after his suspension because he was basically 40 and he said he’s noticed his body breaking down already and his mind effected from those hits that’s why he just rushed into this fight you can tell he just needed the money. Nick dosent want his little brother to pay him off he has to much pride for that he’s been out of work for 5 years I think he just wanted to bring money to the table instead of his little brother always being it
I compare Robbie Lawler to George Foreman. When he was young he relied on straight power and he was untamed as George, left the UFC to find himself. Came back fought his way back to the top like Foreman and they both won the championship their second go around
Lawler is always a fan favorite, but damn did Nick steal the spotlight at the pressers. It's wholesome how much support he truly has! Would love to see him fight again, perhaps against lower ranked fighters. He honestly didn't do bad considering how long he'd been away from fighting.
This is the first time I’ve heard anyone ever say this. Respect the fact that Boozie realizes we’re all the same and have faced a lot of the same adversary
some say ring rust doesnt exist, i think its pretty dependent on the individual but nick absolutely had it in this fight. Not to take anything away from Lawler, he was a fantastic and entertaining fighter
I forgot Lawler ko'ed Manhoef; OMG people, Google this guy he was a freaking killer. The fact Nick still fought Robbie with two ruptured discs in his neck, so sad he must really have needed the money.
as much as i hate to say it, i think that lawler realized during the fight that he massively outclassed nick at this stage in their careers, and took it easier on him to make it entertaining, and im glad that he did. Lawler is a stand up dude. I dont think Nick came back because he wanted to, rather he felt he needed to, either for money or because of the fans. That being said, gotta respect the fact that Diaz went in there and gave a solid effort despite being off for so long, and probably not wanting to fight in the first place.
can’t believe they suspended Nick 5 years for marijuana 😢they couldn’t juste give him a warning with a reasonable fine and move on?!? he could’ve accomplished a lot in that amount of time. I think it’s unfair. Weed doesn’t enhance you for christ sake.
I feel you can tell Diaz is done with this grind. I mean who can blame him? The dude's been in Wars, he's just beaten down. But he's still a warrior, it's looking like he's having a little too much munchies from smoking weed 😂 but other than that he's still a great fighter
I think Joe Rogan gets paid so much money each time he laughs, yells, drums on the desk or grabs another announcer....it's like judging a fighter with take downs and strikes lol
@@thenedsmmachannel8970 if the ufc wasn't so against pot he would've been able to continue his career no problem just like fighters these days are. its never been up to anyone else but the ufc
@@cjmartinez2cm34 you still don't understand... it was the sanctioning body that oversees the UFC event, the Nevada State Athletic Comission... turn your brain on
@@thenedsmmachannel8970 the ufc is 100% capable of influencing the decisions of these bodies.look at the treatment of jon jones when he popped, conor not currently being in the testing pool, brock lesnar, chandler tony, etc.
@@Ty-oe4dr .... that's all USADA.... who the UFC hired and works with directly. If you recall... Nevada did not let Jones fight when he popped for Gus 2 and California only let it happen cause USADA/UFC came into an agreement, NV was like no F U, you're waiting till the hearing so we can investigate. You clearly do not know how sanction bodies work and how that the promotions 2 entirely different things and you know what, the UFC probably did help Nick cause the suspension was reduced from 5 years to 18 months. Get your head out of the ground dude. You're so adamant it was the UFCs fault but it clearly wasn't, you think they gave af Diaz smoked weed? Be real dude. Turn your little brain on. The comissions have so much power, the governor of NV directly called Dana to stop bad mouthing the comission when he said he never wanted to have an event there after the GSP/Hendricks decision and they ruined boxing and will ruin MMA as well. You don't know a thing dude
Nick seemed like he didn't want to get hit and for him to just quit like that goes to show he's a shell of his former self 💯 never thought I'd say it but he's definitely become soft physically and mentally...the scrappy ultra tough Nick Diaz is gone
You should always judge a man by his best moment, not by his downfall! Nick was the best to have ever done it. Didn't give a shit about belts or championships. He just wanted to beat the fighters, that HE thought were the best fighters.
@@VollKaracho209 the point was if you're paying attention is that he's clearly scared to be in there now, not to mention how out of shape he looked and just quit like he did...he used to be so tough, great hands and never afraid to come forward and fight. His downfall is relevant to how far gone he is now compared to how he used to be and him not caring for the title he wouldn't have stopped fighting after the GSP fight so I don't know what you're talking about.
@@ironman-vo7zl You don't now what I'm talking about is because you've never heard him talk about it. Apparently you don't even know why he was out of shape for the Lawler fight. So stop talking and wasting my time.
@@joebeast15 yeah so the athletic comission should be getting all the blame but almost everyone believes it was Dana and the UFC who banned him which is false.
