Hey NL back in 2018 my dog passed away and that was the hardest shit I dealt with. You were something that helped me get through some of the toughest parts of my life. Today my other childhood dog had to be put down and it is really hitting me hard because on top of it I have not had the best time these last 6 months. I picked both of them together with my family back in 2008. They were mother and son and I really hope they are reunited. You are some of my most consistent daily happiness. Thank you for always helping me be distracted and always giving me something to look forward to.

Dude, Mozart's Twinkle Twinkle Variations are great. It's actually not "the same notes" with nothing changed. That's why they're variations. The opening is just a plain statement of the Twinkle Twinkle theme, but then he goes crazy and adds tons of shit and changes keys and modes. There's even thematic development and shit throughout the piece. I'm actually not too into Mozart, but I still recognize his genius. Also, as far as paying tons of money to hear his music in the 1700s, there was no other way to hear music back then aside from going to concerts, or just learning the music yourself (which obviously isn't an option if the music requires a large orchestra). So I imagine concerts were of much higher value back then, since you couldn't listen to it on RU-vid. You also have to keep in mind that classical music back then was way more popular than it is today. So going to a Beethoven concert was probably akin to going to a Beyonce concert today. I don't know the stats, but I also wouldn't be surprised if Beyonce concerts cost more to attend than Mozart concerts used to (accounting for inflation ofc). Sorry if this sounds pretentious af. I love my classical music, but it's also kind of hard to not sound pretentious when talking about it 😂
