Dick Clark interviews the Spinners. He first asks them about their white very fancy suits and who makes them. The band says they have a warehouse full of costumes so they don't have to repeat the outfits that much. The band announces that they will be wearing tuxedos at The Resort International.

Singers back then were so down to earth and easy to talk to. No ego, no arrogance. These are true stars.

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting all of these gentlemen when I emceed their show at the Circle Star Theater in San Carlos, CA back in the early '80's, a year or two after this TV appearance. They couldn't have been nicer to me back stage. It's always such a great feeling to meet your heroes and have them turn out to be such genuinely kind people. It's a feeling that has stayed with me for a lifetime. God bless them all.

@@squigglypuff6558 it was around 1979 or 1980 he was in his mid -forties it was a very short time .He was very handsome in person and he was very nice that’s all I remember .He was very down to earth and he was just a very regular guy who happened to be famous

Thank you so much for responding! I really appreciate it. I wasn’t expecting a response @ 😭 I’ve never met any famous before so I loved reading your reply back. I enjoy reading or listening to other people’s experiences. He looked so good on camera of course, but I’ve read so many comments that have said he was very much so handsome in person. Lmao. He did seem like such a wonderful man tho. I’m 24 broadening my musical horizon 😂 I gotta say, I’m loving The Spinners. Great mean & great music. They were charming, for real. Happy holidays to you. @@squigglypuff6558Your welcome yes did look nice but seeing him in person was very different he was very handsome and the camera didn’t really show just how handsome he was . He didn’t look bad in pictures but he was just gorgeous in person .But what made him so handsome was that he was so nice just a very down to earth man and he didn’t have a big ego about himself even though he knew he was very famous he acted like he was just a regular guy .From what I’ve been told and this doesn’t apply to all but people from his generation had a very different personality and he was also raised in Georgia
