Legend bro keep it up!! Try eat a large protein breakfast to kick start your metabolism/protein synthesis (large protein first thing and last thing is super important as you need it for your over night fast and to break your fast)- also you’re eating more than 1200 calories but you should be!! 1200 is waaaaay to low. If you’re going gym 5 times a week aim for at least 1800-2000 so you can train harder, build muscle and lose fat. Great work brother!

You've got the right attitude. As someone who has lost weight a few times for various reasons, I can make a few recommendations, some of which might sound counterintuitive. First: eat more. 1200 calories is too few for an adult male your size. I'm eating 2400 calories a day and steadily dropping weight (I'm 48 years old, and I take no supplements other than a one-a-day multivitamin). Fill your diet with 1.5-2 grams of protein for every kg of body weight. For example, I weigh 107 kg, so I eat about 200 g of protein per day. Consider buying protein powder to make smoothies and granola bars. It will save money and give you a healthful snack. Second: If you hate the treadmill and the elliptical, that's fine, Cardio is not how you will lose the weight (it is, but I guarantee you will be happier and healthier if you lose fat while gaining muscle). Start doing a lot less cardio (maybe 10-15 minutes a day), and start doing more resistance training (about 45 minutes to an hour per workout, at least 3 times a week). Find exercises you enjoy at first, and keep up the intensity. Of course, I'm not a fitness expert or a dietician. I'm just sharing what has worked for me and what I've picked up from way too many RU-vid videos. :) Keep up the good work!

Thanks William, really appreciate all the feedback! 👊 I try to keep a mix of cardio and weightlifting, it's been a fun journey so far - definitely feel the benefits of treadmill. And, I'll take you up on that advice and start eating a little more (and higher protein intake) soon, currently struggling to get 150g in per day at the moment, haha! Keep up the great work yourself - your music's awesome btw.

yup, exercise and healthy eating does wonders for your mental health, self esteem and confidence....as well as the physical benefits! But previous posters are right, eat more! Im eating more as a middle aged woman on a diet! Too low and you will be losing muscle mass as well as fat which will affect your workouts.
