I suspected Alvin and ruled out Ms. Boom because we haven't met her yet, but her being the Knight instead of Alvin would explain why he doesn't have his own portrait and talking sounds. He's not actually that important. Ms. Boom is the important one.

Just so you know Ms. Boom is probably Alvin's sister, not Gerson's Wife. If she was his widow she would still be Mrs. Boom, and Alvin says that Gerson had multiple children. (I'm curious if she's even the librarian too, while Berdly obviously has been seen working at the library for some reason when he says he's late to his shift he leaves the library?) Also the Knight probably had nothing to do with Jevil, the Knight seems to have only arrived after Jevil was already locked up and if the "strange someone" Seam mentioned was the Knight they would have just said the Knight given they had already told us about the Knight. I really like that you brought up how Toby says he hopes we can be friends with everyone one day though, I feel like a lot of theorists skim over that when talking about the relationship between the characters and the player for example.

Note - It's Ms. Boom, not Mrs. Boom. This means her marital status is unknown; she could easily be Gerson's daughter. We do know he had multiple children - | * Originally a smith by trade, he began writing history... * And made a turn into telling stories, * As a means to entertain his children. I personally do think that plot-wise Father Alvin makes more sense as the Knight, considering the Knight's thematic relation to the Angel. In my opinion, Alvin's line about his father's hammer is him questioning whether he should attempt to create a Darkner from it, so that he might have some way of speaking to his father again. 4:25 Seam states that Jevil spoke to a "strange someone" a very long time ago; this is mentioned distinct from the sudden appearance of the Knight, which happened only recently.

Interesting theory and good points to support it. I too had reasons to suspect the Boom family. In fact, my predicted Guest Party Member for the Church Dark World was Father Alven. It would certainly add some tension if Alven knew who the Knight was and took actions to protect her.

I did expect the Knight’s identity to be a welcome surprise but not this one, that’s for sure!

1. Ralsei didn’t *confirm* the roaring instantly begins if you make a dark world inside a dark world 2. It isn’t confirmed that the person who made spamton and jevil crazy met them a long time ago 2a. Even if it was a long time for the darkners, we know time passes differently inside the dark worlds 3. King and queen seem to have met the knight fairly recently

Look... its important to take stock in what Toby says... but I don't believe him when he says "Chapter 3 won't be very story focused". It just looks like there should be a lot going on there as; with the dark world being wide open and the opportunity for many characters to find out about the dark worlds. Not only that; but Toby also said that it makes sense for Chapters 3, 4 and 5 to be paired together; leading me to believe that Chapter 3 will at the very least end with a major change to the status quo.

I actually watched a theory recently about someone also suspecting Ms. Boom as the knight as the places the knight has so far been in have been connected with Gerson. But since Gerson is dead, they suspected Alvin or Ms. Boom to be the culprits.

Maybe "The Knight" is not a single person but PERSONS...kind of like in "Hot Fuzz", the older residents of the town formed a cult to keep the town "pure". It could be the same idea with the Holidays, Dreemurr and Boom clans forming a secret group to keep the town in check. I'm not sure how the Fountains would work into this tbh but I think you're personally on to something with Alvin's relations. They'd have a reason to create the Dark Fountains if they knew about them prior to Gerson's death and their importance in his story telling.

If you allow me to both build on top, but also sorta argue against your theory; 10:16 I'll do you one better. If was this scenario true, Susie's would be the perfect heroine for it because SHE'S the perfect counter to Ms. Boom (If she's the culprit to begin with) because Susie and her family ARE NEW TO HOMETOWN, thus UNEXPLOITABLE. This, from a narrative perspective, would make all the total sense in the world if we take into account how she's placed WITHIN the timeline of the game and how the story deals with her. We know that Susie is relatively new in hometown, due to it she's completely alien to everyone and their relationships, which is partially the reason why she came across to people as odd and scary when she was trying fit in with her classroom before resorting into bullying; So let's assume she had just moved that same year. NOW, we know for that most of the people of HomeTown are pretty much devoted to religion, thus creating a connection with eachother through church AND/OR with the Church like in most small towns, so is no wonder how the Boom Family would know basically everything and anything from the town whether it be family dynamic OR personal secrets. If we believe that Ms. Boom is the one actually setting up the fountains for whatever particular reason, let's just assume that she does because she wants to create a safe HEAVEN for everyone to get along and live forever happy, something that sounds a whole lot like the nature from which Ralsei seems to be building up CASTLE TOWN for Kris and Susie; Then this would place her as a fantastic villain for the story already. Then throw in a whole new family that just moved into HomeTown and is completely alien to both the town and specially Ms. Boom, then you have a piece that does not add up to her puzzle in anyway. This family seems to be financially struggling based on Susie's constant hunger and her seemingly only wearing old clothing so is most likely that due to their poor life they really don't believe in religion themselves as for them maybe hardships is all life has to offer; With this your rule them out of church and do indeed create the single biggest opening in for failure to her plans when the kid from this family befriends The Dreemurrs and specifically KRIS. It is no secret that The Dreemurrs next to the Holidays and the Booms are the most devoted religious family of the town, so meanwhile this alone wouldn't make them a perfect fit for Ms. Boom to try and use them, Kris depression and human-nature as a DETERMINATION user, the key booster for Dark Magic that allows monsters to tap into DETERMINATION without "falling down", does! So how could Susie fit in all of this? As a completely indirect opposing force to whatever Ms. Boom might be working towards creating within The Dark World; She can't be exploited, she is hard to read for outsiders so she can't even figure out what she likes or doesn't, she's befriending Kris and allowing them to gaining motivation in their life which would mean Ms. Boom would lose her booster for her safe heaven if they grow too content of their actual life; And most importantly of all, Susie is a resolved character. Kinda. Unlike Kris whose character is just beginning and is could only be being used as a ploy on this scenario; Susie ALREADY had her character development from flawed to self-acceptance, with Chapter 2 just developing her further into being heroic in her own way and enjoying being a good person, rather than trying to have yet another break-thorugh story for her like Kris and Noelle are undergoing. Susie is literally in all ends untouchable by Ms. Boom unless this one happened to fracture their friendship in anyway, which honestly would make actually for a great conflict that involves all these three characters. That do being said, meanwhile I conceptually I like this aim because it not only would explain a lot of things about The Dark World, specifically the way CASTLE TOWN is basically built as an ideal community preferrable to real life where everyone can be happy, which could maybe connect Ralsei back to The Knight in the shape of Ms. Boom. Having Ralsei as a ploy device to lure Kris into The Darkworld so Ms. Boom can use their SOUL as booster for her Angels Heaven; That do being said, I can't say I fully agree on it. The way DELTARUNE was originally teased was through a luring mechanism outside the game itself from an unknown someone to US, The Actual Players whom recognized it from UNDERTALE, which is where the GASTER connection is drawn. Meanwhile Ms. Boom would make for a fantastic villain, I feel that the connections to UNDERTALE between the Entry 17 and The Darkworld are too loud just for it to end up being a fake-outs to The Player. Snowgrave as a route still exists as an alternative timeline when THAT WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN and yet it did because OUR pressence in the game changed the nature of this seemingly once linear timeline into a branching one. And we still have to remember that Kris is aware and sentient of us BOTH when we play as them and when we don't, with two very distinct personalities detatched to our choices and actions. I feel what holds me from fully blaming her as the one and true problematic within DELTARUNE is that somewhere there's still that connection to GASTER that links both games as their shared Meta has carried over into this universe and is shattering its nature due to our interferance. At best I'd imagine Ms. Boom brought with her something far worse into Home Town: An UNDERTALE-like entity; Something Ralsei could've hinted at with The Titans. I'll give you credit where credit is due, it makes sense since I agree The Knight must be part of The Booms, either they being Gerson's son or wife, due to their connection to Gerson's hammer and religious background. But I feel I'm in the skeptic scenario in which I feel The Knight will end up being an UNDERTALE!Asgore situation, where they're a villain that's heavily hinted at with subverted execution that they might not be as imposing as they sound (Honestly The Knight could very well be an allegory to a writer thus all their information towards HOPES AND DREAMS, and arranged realities could very well be the mere description of imagination. A concept that would drive an imaginary being both insane but able to abuse this nature). But the looming threath that is Kris during their Playerless state? Or the implications of what The Titans are? Or what we even know is an Angel in these games? Those are whole new threaths above a simple Dark World user, since they're Timeline Warpers.

If this is true would be amazing. People have thought about most of the characters, even Noelle’s mother and Gerson Boom itself, but everyone always ignore Ms Boom. Would be the best plot twist ever.

Hm, very interesting Theory, it certainly would’ve been one heck of a Twist, makes me look forward to the next Chapters even more, can’t wait to see who is right about the Knight. As well as founding out how these more Optional Long Running (seemingly, at the moment) Mini-Narratives, like the Shadow Crystals, the Eggs, Onion-San, Sans’ Brother, Napstablook’s Associate and potentially even the Weird Route, Any guesses for where you think they might go?

This here theory is... Very Very Interesting. For real though, I never heard this one, but it makes a lot of sense, when you think about it. The only question is, why would she try to cause the Roaring? Afterall, the knight calls itself The _Roaring_ Knight (according to Queen), so it has to know about the possibility, right? And if it knows, it probably wouldn't risk it if it doesn't want it, right? I mean "whoopsie daisy I ended the world" doesn't really sound like a sweet old lady running the library, right?

That's cool but... I don't see why all that couldn't just apply to Father Alvin instead? The extra dialogue doesn't paint him as villainous, but neither is the Knight painted as particularly villainous (in the sense of malice at least) so far. Asking "...were you proud of me, father...?" is perfectly in line for opening up dark fountains and having doubts or regrets, wondering about the future. For a better argument, please read VGFM's "Deltarune Theory: Reappraising Father Alvin," which goes as far as to take sprite sizes into account, if you're really looking for small details that pay off later!

Its unknown most of what Ms. Boom has to do with Mr. Boom. All we know is that Berdly has an appointment for her, she is alive, she has the last name Boom and she is unmarried. This means that its unlikely that she is Gerson's wife. She would either have divorced him and kept the last name or she is his relative like a child, sister, cousin, aunt, niece or mother. She could be anything her job is completely unknown just that she has an appointment with Berdly. Perhaps she's the principle or Berdly is looking for another job and she owns that.

What if kris is trying to find the knight, or even who the knight is

Ms Boom is likely Gerson's daughter not wife, if she was his wife she'd be Mrs Boom not Ms. Also, she's probably not the librarian since if she was Berdly wouldn't need to leave the library to attend his shift with her.

Deltarune is so similar to Mother 3... It is chapter-based, has the main hero's brother not seen for most part of game, the main hero had some accident that somehow triggers the start of story, the "mysterious" man that can activate the game's important points to reach their goal... I heard that Earthbound 64(it was called so before the targeted console changed to GBA) had main hero's father solve mystery in their town. Deltarune resembles Mother 3 so much... I wonder if Asriel is really the knight, because in Undertale Chara and Asriel were believed in as the hero who will save them. Also Asriel cares deeply about Dess, has very strong will and would do something like becoming Knight to save missing Dess

Tbh this is just the Alvin Knight Theory but with way more unsubstantiated speculation. We don't know who Ms Boom is. We don't know if she's Gerson's wife, or Alvin's Wife, or Alvin's sister (which seems the most likely honestly given that Gerson's memorial states that he made the stories for his "kids", which could be referring to his students, but more implicitly implies that he had multiple children.) Also the Knight was NOT the one who drove and Spamton insane. Seam EXPLICITLY states that the Strange Knight came "recently". The one who drove Jevil and Spamton Insane was probably certainly definitely Gaster.
