Bo Nickal and Jason Nolf wrestle at Penn State, Sean Strickland stops by Victory MMA, and Danielle Kelly talks about her ONE Championship win. JockoFuel Supplements: jockofuel.com/ JockoFuel Instagram: / jockofuel
My favorite is when he knocked out that one student, then turned around and started knocking out the ones that weren't even sparring him while shouting "I'M THE GREATEST! I'M THE CHAMPION OF THE WORLD!!!" classic Strickland.
@@stevenshar1233 bro that's a fucking beginner with no ambitions to get somewhere in the sport. He's overweight and probably just wants to get fit. There's no reason to hit him that hard to teach him to not drop his hands.
I feel like it’s It’s quite the opposite for Sean in how he uses his jiu jitsu because I would argue he is using it. I feel like everyone always brings up (sean himself does it too in interviews) talks about his black belt in BJJ but that is him literally using it. Because if anyone ever gets Sean down he never stays down, he gets up pretty damn fast, and that’s his BJJ at work. Or even just the threat of having his opponents know they can’t just take him down and sub him, because that won’t just work on him either unless you get the jump on him.
@@user-ox1fi7ep7o He also has great take down defence and decent offensive wrestling. In modern MMA all the top guys at the very least have decent wrestling.
@@ddandymann His ground game hasn't been tested against any real competition. I hear people say it about him but I have to see it to believe it. I am a big Strickland fan though and I respect he loves to stand and bang
@tuttlespeachtree3413 Then they should also have judo in the conversation. I haven't met someone in judo that's really been at a disadvantage over some BJJ or wrestler. Not that I think judoka are better, there are limitations to it of course, but there are far less limitations in some ways than BJJ and wrestling. A lot of wrestlers don't realize what BJJ black belts can do, us judo black belts can also do as well. Sometimes more effectively.
@@zaynes5094 Agreed, but I think the main point that Sean was trying to make is that wrestling as a sport worldwide is highly respected, probably more so than Judo or BJJ as a whole.
This. So much, this. THIS was one of the most wonderful videos ever; at least, for someone who loves MMA and Jocko Willink. I love that you (Jocko) are recognized by so many people, especially Sean. Jocko: Thank you for helping me with your message of extreme ownership. It has helped me process myself in lieu of the loss of my parents.
Damn man.. thanks for sharing. Greetings from South Africa.. good luck to you and sorry about the loss of your parents. The fact that you watch Jocko.. tells me you are probably a good person
Something about a Diamond falling out of Danielle Kelly’s belt on the same video Sean Strickland is on just seems poetic lol I wonder how the UFC Middleweight belt is looking these days
idk why but I laughed so hard at 5:30 - he just rocked the guy slightly and the guy looks dumfounded haha then later tries to be like bro I love you you're a legend and he's having none of it.
I was the captain of my football team, but damn I wish I had a parent to push me to do wrestling because as a 6 foot tall person, I chose to keep playing basketball because all my friends did lol. I really wish I did wrestling instead.
i think the same thing, it could save your life depending on the situation. However I think you probably saved your body a lot of stress and issues by avoiding things like cutting weight n all that, i heard it can really mess you up
@@garydacooldude5399you don’t have to cut weight if you don’t want to lol. Guys do that because they think it gives an advantage. My senior year I got sick of it and just wrestled my natural weight class and I felt so much better
Never too late gsp never wrestled. He went to train with the Canadian Olympic team and put the work in. Wrestling clubs, Bjj, judo gyms, mma gyms good places to learn.
Basketball and football is actually worth it if you make it to pro level. Pro level mma does not get paid good like NFL or NBA so if you're gonna abuse your body, do it for a sport that actually pays millions.
Imagine being in a gym full of bad MFers, then Jocko walks in and everyone knows who the real baddest MFer is. Combat sports is one thing, being part of one of the most elite military organizations on the planet is on another level
I played dodgeball in that same room (maybe?) back in the year 1999, 2000, 2001 when I went to PSU wrestling camp in high school. The wrestlers from Penn State were really fucking good at dodgeball.
@@cryptombsI agree 👍🏾. Used to think khamzat wrestling wasbbetter but after watching his last few fights I think his only chance of beating Bo is the first round. But even then I personally think bos striking skills is superior to khamzats. I agree with you khamzat has glaring weaknesses that don't simply go away. It is a matter of time now before it catches up to him.b
Fighting and not getting angry is what i live for!!! Respect. Its everything.i met sean at home depot. In vegas. I used to work there. Hes a normal guy. Was happy when i recognized him. So awesome to see him champ now. Im a huge ufc fan. And im an American! Cheers to everbody fighting and trying to be better
I just mean I wrestled 80% of my life. And wrestling is 100% about winning. If you are referring to belts like white blue orange etc3tc. That's to class you for tournaments. Wrestling does the same thing with brackets. You just don't have a co,or coordinated belt. Wrestling is full of bullshit, favorite playing and bracket building to ensure certain people will make it deep. Wrestling is super corrupt at the collegiate/olympic level.
I have no doubt Bo gonna be champ one day because he has undeniable talent but god damn the dude is not likeable. He is a great heel. Too "look at me i walk on water" attitude and "listen to my humble brags." Strickland loses to Bo but dude is likeable af and genuninely humble and real. Really hope he stays champ for longer than most of us think he will.
I like the bit about working hard and having goals. My son didn’t have interest in sports growing up but I taught him the value of working extremely hard when he enters the job market and the value in saving. He is now in a trade and working 70 hours a week while he is young saving tons of money so he can achieve his financial and family goals.
For those that don’t know, that was Jason Nolf in the PSU wrestling room with Bo. Bo will be a UFC champ by 2025. Nolf is arguably the better wrestler, still in his wrestling prime, and working towards his goal of becoming a World and Olympic Champion. But if, or when, he decides to go full MMA, watch out folks bc he’s got the Championship mentality as well. 🙏🏼
@@JoshShanahan1 But if he wins a World. Hell if he places in Worlds. Aren’t we going to have to position him over Bo? I’m talking strictly in the sport of wrestling
@GuyFromSC World Championship i could probably get with, Not a placement tho. Bo would guarantee atleast be a placer if he didnt have to wrestle up because of David Taylor. And i favor Bos college career a lot more
@@JoshShanahan1Nolf was Majoring his way through that last tournament, and Bo was well he was teching and pinning his way through the championship and had full control through that championship match.
