I’ve made it myself a few times, you just use nacho jalapenos, some good honey, and Aldi “Happy Farms” pimento cheese, and you can do either the regular or spicy sandwich and just doll it up yourself

This dude is, hands down, one of the oddest characters on RU-vid, but he is so freaking entertaining, honest, and very interesting. He reminds me a ton of myself when I was 13-15. Anyone who eats fast food knows that his reviews are nothing short of real. I have taken the time to try several of the items he has* tried, and he has always been spot on with his assessments. I sincerely appreciate the fact that he is making money doing what I wish I could have done. His show is a testament to the power of the internet. If you are fresh, different/unique, and informative, you too can make it anywhere, it does not have to start in New York.

I’m actually really excited to try this. I love that kind of sweet maple bacon and the sweet heat flavoring. It’s right up my alley. Also, I really recommend people try their grilled chicken more often. Their breaded is always popular but the grilled deserves more attention

I remember back in the day in the 80s there was a Chick Fil A in the Puente Hills Mall (Mall seen in Back to the Future 1). They would give out samples om tooth picks like Sam's Club. My parents never bought anything from them so I always would try to go back for more samples lol.

YMMV on the price depending on your local area, i was able to get the combo for 12.35 and that was even upsizing the drink from medium to large, kept the medium waffle fries. gotta say, i really enjoyed the sandwich too, though i opted for the crispy filet since i really like the breading on their chicken. Definitely was not spicy, but had really good flavor.

My local CFA has it for 8-and-change. Now don't quote me on this, but I believe he gets the majority of his stuff delivered and that may have an impact on pricing. Or it could just be regional pricing for his area.

Chick-fil-a does one thing and does it right consistently. They do chicken right, but it is all they focus on. When restaurants focus on a few items rather than a massive amount of items, they tend to focus on making the few items perfect rather than many items mediocre.

Most things are cheaper in the deep south. I'm from the New York metro area and everything here is sky high. Look at cigarettes for instance. In Georgia, a pack costs like $6.40. Up here, it's like $12.00 a pack!

i work at cfa, we used the maple bun and have cinnamon from the local grocery store and eggs to mix with the bun. then we drop it on the grill and boom, ez french toast

I work at a chick fil a- I always love your reviews because they are reasonable. I highly recommend that if anyone is up for it, you try the spicy variant. It helps with the flavor of the pepper Jack cheese and brings up the spice to a point where I think it’s a perfect balance- not too spicy at all.

They rarely release a new menu because they prefer quality over quantity releases. When they do release something new, it has to be something that's truly good. Which is great!

Something seems off about that price as here in Minnesota this Sandwich only costs 8.09 Crispy and 8.99 Grilled and then 12.39 and 13.29 for the meal.

To think, you can get a full rotisserie chicken for $7 at most grocery stores, Kroger/Walmart/Meijer/etc. BTW, that's cheaper than an uncooked chicken, usually around $9. I don't know how they do it. I love watching you do these reviews, shows me what I've been "missing"(not) for two decades now. Really DO love your even-handed reviews and the thought you put into these. If I were to ever do fast food again, I'd follow your advice for sure.

They are loss leader items. They are losing money on them selling it that cheap but get more money from people buying other stuff with the rotisserie chicken which balances the cost.

Sandwich was designed well in that all the flavors worked together, but the one I got was not hot at all. Borderline cold. Like the cheese wasn't even melted in the slightest. S Tier Sandwich bumped down to B tier.

There is indeed a reason! In a video from years ago, he mentioned having sensory processing issues and he doesn't like the tops of his fingertips to touch anything. So he keeps his nails long to act as a barrier between surfaces and his fingertips. I know someone else with these sensory processing issues and he also keeps his nails long, so it's definitely a thing But also some people just like their nails that way

Agree - Chick-fil-A has their act together. Fast service, everything is great quality - the lemonade is so good. It is a bit expensive for fast food but, as you said - we're getting something we know is going to be good.
