As you all know, I don’t do a ton of reaction videos. Nor do I react to a ton of trendy stuff that’s going on. However, on something like this comes up that I am passionate about and fits within the vision of this channel and ministry, I really feel obligated and led to provide a response. I pray that you’ll take some time out of your day to watch this entire video and let me know your thoughts below.

Any so-called pastor of a church who teach false doctrine for decades, by failing to rightly divide the Word and then have the audacity to say I’m not apologizing, is a very serious problem no matter how one justifies themselves (claiming to be ignorant does not nullify sincerely apologizing) especially for all the ppl whom was led astray by believing those teachings. Countless lives was affected by this.

@Christopher Hayes The Bible is very clear in first Corinthians 14. This is not even up for debate. If there is no interpreter in the church, you should not speak in tongues. Done. End of story. He knows better. The Bible says if there is no interpreter then they need to speak quietly between them and God.

Pastors who teach 10% tithing but knows the truth on giving yet lie bc of fear the ppl won’t give besides trusting God and being faithful to preaching the truth, need to repent of their arrogance or step down. Truth is not based on feelings. These false doctrines have caused devastation in the church for decades.

Even though I believe in paying tithes and offerings, if you are conducting your life godly and giving what God puts on your heart, that is good. I have been taught to ask God to make a way to be able to pay tithes and offerings, through more than one way, if need be. Always put God first. Seek His direction. Believe His Word to you.

@@enod9746 It must be very hard for a single mother who doesn't have much income, to pays tithes, along with her offerings. But if she cries out to God, God will make a way for her. Many do things for others, especially in the church, truly in the name of the Lord, and it is a constant offering to the Lord. You will know by her godly spirit. Each of us must hear from God concerning our situation. If one has a true pastor, the pastor should give godly advice, for it's from God. Yet, true, overspending can be a problem, but let God deal with them. Life is not easy, but we can all glorify God by obeying Him, not man. God speaks to His own, who hear Him. Are we hearing? Many who get on here know many scriptures, but they don't know the Revealer of the Truth of the scriptures. They say, scripture says this, but they never say, God says this and show it by scripture. They leave God out, because God didn't show them, man did. God will not be applied to any lies any man believes. Demons will lie about it, though.

@@enod9746 when you're a single parent, often spending has little to nothing to do with it. Necessary bills, rent or mortgage, making it to work(gas, car payment, maintenance and insurance or a bus pass) daycare fees, food, school supplies, clothes for growing children, missed days at work due to an illness...these are ways to get in debt. The single parents that sacrifice for their children have a difficult time even justifying putting their children into a sport, buying the school pictures every year and even the $5-$10 for a field trip. I know these things, by being one of these parents of 3 boys. It is not easy but by the grace and mercy God gives, we somehow make it through. If this testimony were because of spending, there would be no tithing and debt surely wouldn't go away with or without tithing.

The beautiful thing about grace giving is not just giving to your local church pastors. It is also helping fellow Christians with money who have need. Moreover it is not only limited to money, but also giving gifts and personally assisting them if they need help with anything. When you read the Bible tithing was never monetary it was always and still is about crops. Just because something good is happening in your life doesn't mean God is the one giving to you. When you understand the bible even Satan himself can gives to you to keep a people sleep from the truth to the point a person think it's God blessing them. Look Satan offered Christ the world all he had to do bow down and worship him.

At one point I was struggling financially and was tempted not to tithe during that period, but I continued to tithe and God has never failed me. He has only blessed me. Sometimes I look at my bank account trying to figure out where this "extra" money is coming from when prices are increasing and my expenses exceeds my income, but realize that God can do all things. Praise God. People with far more income than you won't tithe and give offerings. I believe, or would like to believe (from a human standpoint, that makes sense, but God will judge right, nevertheless), that God will show them the error of their ways on judgement day, by comparing them with people like you, and they will know that they disobeyed Him. I believe for you there will be a reward. For them, most of them, I shudder to think about it.

Many of you can't be blessed by God because of continued disobedience in your life, so the tithe broke you. But it didn't break a disabled person. You should think about that, and even be ashamed that you cannot obey God. What God meant to be a blessing, tithes and offerings, for the work and glory of God, has turned into a curse for the disobedient ones, as God cannot bless them. They bless themselves, but not God. Many have been deceived by false preachers, yet, tithes and offerings are not Jewish law concerning the tenth, which Abraham gave to Melchizedek, they are prelaw. You can trust God, in tithes and offerings. It's been proven countless times. Don't live in past failures, but rather, obey God in all things, including tithes and offerings and see if God doesn't keep His word to you. The Jews collected 23 and a third percent. No wonder why God was displeased with them, they fleeced the people. That's more than double a tenth. And some want to go back to the old testament. They don't know how corrupt Israel had become.

Moment of transparency, I spent years watching and learning from Creflo. Believing that God would give me this life of prosperity and abundance he preaches about. Named it, claimed it, believed it, received it, called those things that be not as though they were, the whole 9. Long story short, as you said, it led to much hurt, disappointment and frustration when things didn't come to fruition. Sent me to a dark place. I essentially had to deprogram all these prosperity teaches from my brain and reprogram myself with sound biblical teaching. These days, I have a much more discerning ear when listening to preachers. I'm happy to say I have a much healthier relationship with God now and much healthier expectations of what this walk with Christ means. So while I appreciate Creflo for introducing me to Christ, I'm more thankful that I've grown away from his teachings.

I will say this first. If you live off of 90%, you are not giving offerings and still are cursed. I knew someone who maybe in a whole year of working, for years, who maybe twice a year would give offerings, maybe. Small amounts, too. Some people can't tithe in money, but they can make up the difference in other ways as God directs. If a one has much money, it is much easier to tithe, especially if the ones are hard working, honest, Christians...oh, I just gave away part of the secret of successful tithing and offerings for people. They work hard to get their income. But that does not help the ones who are not in those situations, but the ones who desire to please God and tithe and give offerings, He will make a way. Many live for themselves rather than God, so the devil discouraged them, makes them spend money on pleasures instead of the work of God. I understand most ministries are not truly serving God. I also understand that there are more calls for money in a serious ministry for the Lord. What am I saying? Let God direct your giving starting with the tithe. I know I am repeating what you said, but praise God. This is really for anyone to read.

So often people jump out there & buy things God never said they should get, and now they have to pay their creditors first because they have to “ survive”. If a person doesn’t have the Faith to believe that God will keep His word, they need to seek a closer relationship with Him. Sister Park… please hear me as I say this, be very careful and ask The Most High for discernment on what I am about to say. This “misunderstanding” and the resultant “new understanding” are two sides of the same coin. Ask yourself some questions… 1.) is Creflo truly repenting? As he never said that he was sorry (claims that his being wrong was all a misunderstanding)… okay but I don’t “understand” how a person who is so learned in the scriptures and has been the subject of so many conversations about the error of the teachings he espoused can say that it was just a misunderstanding? 2.) If he was truly repentant why has he not done what Zacchaeus did when YESHUA had dinner with him and brought him the gospel and he said that he would repay double to anyone he had wronged. How many people (widows, elderly mothers, etc.) have given of their meager means based on the false teachings of Creflo, how many people have bought books, CDs etc.? Is he going to repay those people? That’s what repentance brings. 3.) Finally, his false teaching based on grace is worse than his previous one. Now instead of him teaching that you must give a tenth to be blessed, he is saying that under grace there is no longer a 10% cap on your giving and God will bless you if you give more! It’s the same coin just the other side. Why? Because, there’s no amount of money that you, me or anyone else can “give” The Most High in order to buy/gain HIS blessings! HE blesses us according to our belief in HIS SON and HIS riches in heaven not our riches or lack thereof on earth. PS All that “speaking in tongues” foolishness let’s me know that he’s still not right!

I have learned so much from him and this is definitely a reason why I will continue to listen to him. To do this means he's never been about the money. He'd rather have to correct himself than to keep silent, enjoy that tithe money and let the church which is wanting to please God, suffer. Not many pastors would do this. Thank God that he never said he knew it all. I have listened to hundreds of his messages and have heard him say many many times, he is still learning and discovering the truth. Let's not idolize and hate this man, he's a teacher being taught. He's human. And he knows his father's will for his children. Don't blame him for the confidence he has in his father. I always wanted to be a part of a real church that actually observed the 10 commandments for Christ sake and my own soul salvation. I preached what I learned from the bible and not from seminary and people low key laughed at me or saw me as over zealous but I know the bible wasn't wrong about sabbath day worship and free will offerings in the new testament and people trying to mix the old with the new which Christ Himself forbade. He rebuked the Jehovah witnesses in His time by telling them not to go door to door preaching and telling them plainly in Psalms that Christ is no angel when He said "to which angel have I said thou art my Son this day have I begotten thee" or " your throne Oh GOD is everlasting Kingdom". He rebuked Catholicism and Apostle Paul by saying "call no man your father on earth for there is only One Father which is in heaven." Yet government churches (all denominations) worship on sunday and Catholics and even some protestant churches refer to priest as fathers and pastors spiritual fathers which is all birthed out of flattery and loyalty not faithfulness or scripture.

Do you understand that along with the tithe that the curse of the law is attached to it? I tithed for years and was faithful to it, and blessed as well, because God understand I believe that our heart is in the right place, but we need to be directed to the truth. Over ten years ago I began to feel a heavy burden that God would punishment me if I didn't tithed, and that was to much to bear, because I understood that Jesus came to set the captives free whom the son sets free is free indeed, and God wasn't holding His fist up at HIs people demanding you pay tithes especially since tithes was for His chosen people Israel in particular the Levites Numbers chapter 18. God hasn't placed those who received Jesus under the Old Covenant Law which belong to Israel. If you read Malachi chapter 1 verse 1 you will see that God is speaking to Israel, and not the church pastors don't never teach the entire book, before you get to chapter 3:10 "will God rog God? we have to read from the very beginning as to whom God is speaking to, and in this case it was Israel, because the church was not yet established, because Jesus had not yet been born it wasn't until Jesus was born then crucified when he himself was under the Law that he broke the chains of bondage when he was resurrected from the grave where now the New Testament church is under (Grace and not the Law). Ok tithe, but just know you're placing yourself under the curse also, and you must do all of the law, and there were three other tithes that were to be done as well. When you tithe you put Jesus who sacrificed his life for all humanity to no effect, it is by faith that we're saved, and that we're able to please God. Jesus fulfilled the curse of the law by his death which Jesus allowed God's judgement, and our punishment to be poured out for our sin on him, so to deny Jesus Christ by placing yourselves under the law isn't what God wants, if we deny Christ, and his death that brought freedom we are dying God who sent his only begotten son, and Jesus said if you deny me before men I will deny you before my father in heaven.

Feelings are never facts, and it really shouldn't be the reason why you give money. Please understand, Tithing was apart of 612 laws that pertained to Moses for the children of Israel. Just like the laws in the US, we as Americans are obligated and expected to follow all laws or there will be consequences for breaking any of them. It the same point about the 613 laws of Moses, they couldn't pick one law and neglect all the others. The children of Israel had to do it otherwise they were curse and would be out to death. You are under grace which means you can give whatever amount money you desire. Give as the Lord has prospered you, but you cannot call it a TITHE. Tithing had everything to do with produce and livestock and several other items, but it was never money. Yes they had money in ancient times. There's an instance in the Bible where God told the children of Israel that if they didn't have items to tithe with, then they had to buy tithes with money in the marketplace before coming to the temple. Money was never a tithable commodity ever.

I’m glad Pastor came clean. The problem I have with the saints of God is that we pray for people to repent, and to correct things that are wrong, but then we bash them after they do. And we make statements like “He’s only doing it because”. Do you know that for sure? Allow the man to be forgiven. The Bible speaks against some of the bashing that we are doing as well. Remember you had to be forgiven too. You had to correct some things too. Let the man continue in his deliverance. Is there something that still needs to be corrected in you? Can you really throw stones? Pray for the man. Handle in love as the bible instructs. It’s so easy to do the opposite. He gets forgiveness just like we do! I forgive him! I gave and was blessed because I gave from the heart! God blessed me! But now we know the truth so walk in it! And praise God that our brother admitted his wrong! It’s our responsibility as well to search the word out for ourselves! So he cant be blamed for it all. There are a lot of things that The Bible does not teach that we grew up on as kids, and some of us are still speaking it and teaching it! For example; that there were three wisemen in the Bible that went to see the baby Jesus. But that is not true either, but every Christmas we tell the same story! And of course we know Christmas is not a biblical holiday but people still teach it every year! just giving an example, because there is so much more. The bottom line is the man is trying to correct it, and the difference between him and some of us he has a bigger platform so the micro scope is big on him, while some of our errors are Less visible because we don’t have the platform that he does but we have taught a lot of things wrong ourselves. Thanks for this video Allan!! Always enjoy your teachings!

@@savedbygrace8445 He may not be, and I don’t recall anywhere in my response saying that he is. I’m stating the fact that the man repented. Allow deliverance to come from WHATEVER it is that he needs deliverance from. I’m sure this is just the beginning of God tearing a whole lot of things off of HIM, and some OTHERS as well. Let him go through the process of ALL that needs to be changed in him. I know when God changed me it was a process that did not all happen in one setting! I’m not going to debate whether he is name it claim it grab it or stab it!! I’m CHOOSING to forgive a man like someone forgave me. And I’m choosing to allow him to walk out his deliverance like I had to. And I have a feeling there will be MORE TO COME! My job is to forgive, and pray and let God be the FINAL JUDGE. There are a lot of things that I SEE AND HEAR, and if it doesn’t line up with Gods word I have LEARNED TO check it out against the word for MYSELF. But right now… I’m CHOOSING to forgive. Let us see who can now *argue against tithing* after this reply I just sent my siblings who were still trying to discredit tithing as "an old testament law of Moses that no longer applies to us". I replied: You missed the most important verse in Acts 15! Verse 21: “It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. 20 Instead we should write to them, telling them to [ *START* by only immediately obeying these first few OLD TESTAMENT laws of Moses to] abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood. 21 [THEN AS THEY ATTEND CHURCH EVERY WEEK THEY WILL LEARN MORE LAWS OF MOSES AND BE ABLE TO OBEY THEM WITH SPIRITUAL MATURITY, INCLUDING THE LAW OF TITHING] because the law of Moses has been preached in every city from the earliest times and it IS READ [OUT LOUD TO TEACH BELIEVERS GOD'S LAWS] in the synagogues on every Sabbath (church service).” So there you have it!!!! Christians were and ARE expected to learn the laws of Moses and obey them, as they grow in the knowledge of God's laws by *BIBLE STUDY*. Therefore the law of tithing is included in Acts 15, without having to be specifically mentioned. There were about 613 laws of Moses. They just picked the most important ones for the new gentile converts to start obeying IMMEDIATELY, which are LAWS OF MOSES, and they expected them to learn the rest by attending church every week where the full laws of Moses is read. This is also confirmed by Jesus Christ Himself, that YOU SHOULD OBEY THE LAWS OF MOSES (which includes tithing) when Jesus INSTRUCTS US: "The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. [So practice and obey whatever they tell you, but don’t follow their example. For they don’t practice what they teach.]" Matthew 23:2-3 *THERE YOU HAVE IT FROM THE MOUTH OF JESUS HIMSELF. LEARN THE LAWS OF MOSES. YOU MUST TITHE IF YOU WANT TO OBEY GOD.* However I doubt that you will go to hell if you don't tithe, BUT TITHE! Jesus said "If you love me keep My commandments! Whoever [MAKES THE EFFORT TO LEARN] My commandments and [OBEY] them is the one who loves Me. John 14:15,21 So learn about tithing and TITHE! 😀

When reading Malachi 3:9 with care, it speaks about the Holy Spirit and how He will be poured out on mankind. He is described as the "latter rain" The first fruits of God is Jesus, who is the "tithe", who was given up to God. And God through this, opened up the "flood gates of heaven" by pouring out His precious spirit.

The beauty of Dr. Dollar's ministry, and I don't care what anyone has to say about him, I know for a personal fact that he is a man who teaches what he believes to be truth as he was taught it. And when he gets to a place where what he believed to be true at one point, does not line up with what he learns to be true after the fact, he changes his position and goes with the new truth. There is nothing wrong with being wrong about God and His ways. We are all feeling after the invisible God. We are all trying to get to know Him/Her/Them better. no one person has God totally figured out. We all know Him fragmentarily and His ways just the same. It in very admirable that as a preacher who taught one thing one way pretty much his entire ministry, to now stand before the same people and say "yeah, I think I had it wrong"! Most will criticize him for teaching a mistruth in the first place, instead of see that he is an honorable man who can admit that he had it wrong as a pastor and decide to teach more accurately!

We were in bondage for many years to this false doctrine, however, I was to blame for allowing myself to be spoon-fed and not studying the scriptures for myself (Acts 17:11 like a faithful Berean). We left the church after being spiritually abused. As a result, we stayed home for several years without going to any church but God showed us that you can’t buy God’s blessing. We prayed to the Lord about buying a home, and we purchased a home several thousand pounds below the market value without belonging to a church. We now practice free-will giving as taught by the apostle Paul, knowing that we are complete in Christ, and we don’t worship out of fear of a Mafia-type God who would harm us if we did not tithe.

I blamed myself too cause it took me a one hour study to see it. I worked with a founding pastor of a church for nine years, I was tech lead and attended staff, pastor's/ministers meetings and saw how the "dish was prepared" I made decisions that affected the church and it's branch churches. I saw how things happen and heard how it was relayed to the people. I developed the ability to, from one or two sentences in my pastors messages know his intensions and what he is planning to do 3-6 months before he announces it to anyone in church. I was also spiritually and psychologically abused which led to my leaving the church in may 2020. i tried to attend two other churches without being "committed" and quickly realised that most of these "pastors" are about the Benjamins. So i stopped attending any church since may 2021. And i can tell you that Creflo Dollar just didn't find this out about tithing, he probably already knew this and didn't bother cause tithing benefitted him greatly. The only reason he's talking about this right now is because people now know the truth about tithing. He's weighed his options and figured he could still retain some credibility and keep his people loyal if he jumps on the "tithing is old testament" train before its too late. He knows if one person figures it out, others will and when they do, they're not going to be very happy about it.

If you have been walking spiritually with Christ for a while now and still grudgingly give $5 when you make thousands, then you need to check your heart. Christ gave us EVERYTHING. We are sustained. If you’ve been looking for a reason not to tithe, there you go. Work out your own salvation. I was $23,000 dollars in debt to the IRS. Had been thinking about tithing and figured this was as good a time as any. Started tithing, and within a year’s time aLL of that debt was gone and I was in Rome, Italy with my daughter treating her to an unforgettable 21st birthday celebration. Last year, my place of employment had a wage freeze where you couldn’t get the usual 2% raise. I received a 21% raise along with my promotion at that time. Right in that same timeframe where you couldn’t get a 2% raise, my raise was 21%! Not a typo. My daughter just received a hUge raise at work. My health is great, my family’s heath is great. I just upgraded my recording studio into a dream setup. I was so broke it wasn’t a joke. I started tithing and that really changed in a biG way. If you feel not under obligation to tithe then that’s on you. I already know what happens when I don’t tithe. That’s not fear based, it’s experience based. And it’s tithes aNd offerings. So God did not set a limit on your giving. Nice try. Lol This is teaching that you can give anything and it’s cool. That’s not putting God 1st. I think the blessing comes from putting God first, not from the number. And it’s about sacrifice. Yeah it was really hard to tithe sometimes but I stuck with it. I made and continue to make that sacrifice and I’m being blessed in many different ways. It’s up to you. Giving God what you have left might not work out for you. I’ll tell you what; check with Him.

If you add up all that they were required to give in the OT then it was closer to 20-25%. If you are attempting to tithe as in the OT then you would need to send the first 10% to the Levites and fill in the other 15% with your church and charitable giving. We are still called to give, and I'd argue more, but the 10% tithe was a part of the priesthood system. They no longer are the mediator for us today, and actually never were for gentiles. Give freely out of love, and yes, Good will bless you, but you won't be cursed if you don't give 10%. Curses no longer stand on the Christian because "cursed is he who hangs on a tree" Galatians 3:13

Did you know grace means having the divine influence upon the heart and it's reflection in our life? That is undeserved, and no divine influence upon the heart, no salvation. That's the problem, you think it's your ministry, but it is God's. Only what we do for the Lord shall last. Plenty of social missions, what about spiritual ones? Have you ever taught and believed Ephesians 2:10? Do you know that is a result of Ephesians 2:8,9? No verse 10, you don't have 8 nor 9, either. No grace by faith, you won't do what God put in you. This was such a great topic. I think it's very important to add that tithing into good soil is key. We don’t want to tithe into ministeries where the Clergy’s pockets are getting fat and they are driving lavish cars, taking dream vacations and the communities in that city are suffering. I want to tithe in good soil, because it can help bring people into the body of Christ.
@michaelalbertson7457
@michaelalbertson7457 2 года назад
Not only that, but when the congregation has to put in extra offerings so one can live lavishly and then suffer lack in paying their bills, it is not right. I have no problem with a preacher being rich, if he or she is serving God in truth. In large congregations, it happens, many in the congregation. But if they are constantly asking for more and when they get it, it shows up in finer things for themselves...while the people suffer basic needs, it isn't right. I do not believe God would want us in that church, unless it's to say something, and if it doesn't change, we should leave. There is a fine line on this, so one must hear from God on how much to give and when. And, while providing for the community, is the true gospel being preached? If not, it will profit them nothing in eternity, and worse. We must be in the ministry God leads us to, to serve Him in Spirit and in truth. It is part of salvation.

When the Holy Spirit nudges you and something doesn’t sound biblical, DO NOT ignore that feeling. I live in Dallas, TX aka “the Bible Belt”, so you name the church, I’ve been to it and when these churches talked about tithing and giving, (amongst other sermons) I knew something wasn’t right. Just because everybody else in the crowd is “amen-ing”, doesn’t mean you do. I have never had a problem with giving but I’ve been tithing my entire Christian life out of fear and ROUTINE; both NOT the reasons one should give. My husband and I were aware of this years ago, I had read a book called THE LIE OF THE TITHE. We didn't stop giving. Our giving actually lined up with New Testament Scriptures that encouraged Believers to give according to the abundance that God has blessed you with. And if you give, give out of a heart that is thankful. A grateful heart. But using fear to motivate, we have been released from that supposed threat a long time ago. I will tell you that my mother who watched a program on T.V.and sent her tithe to the couple. BUT my mother's income was extremely low and according to the Word, the Church should have been supporting her. NOT requiring her to give the meager $30 dollars a month and she couldn't even get by. Thankfully our family was taught to help each other in need.

True preachers use the Bible to preach. Tithes and offerings is in it. There are spiritual consequences that extend to our physical lives. Tithing is not a law, it is what Abraham gave Melchizedek, a tenth, before the law. Melchizedek is a type of Christ, signifying what we should give to God, a tithe, tenth, PLUS offerings. Many preachers will highly pressure their people for tithes and offerings, especially the phonies. The true preachers will do it to make the congregation realize God requires it. So seek God on your offerings, because the tithe is of God. It is no surprise in these last of the last days that many will fall away, including in tithes and offerings, insisting that battered and wrong people cannot remarry, the first wife lie, they're divorced, single, cannot divorce, all sorts of bondage to the law. But we see, the tithe, the tenth, is not in the law. .

If her tithe was 30 dollars, she made 300 dollars. If 30 was all she made, she should have given 3. If she was in need, you resent making it up? It is not the church's responsibility to give her income. She obeyed the tithe commandment, Malachi 3 which is not about law, but Melchizedek, and you're complaining? She may prosper spiritually while you decline spiritually. It's all God's money. He always makes a way, but not always for doubters.

@@michaelalbertson7457 At what point in the bible did God or Jesus ever ask anyone for their money and at what point was any tithe received from earned wages?
@michaelalbertson7457
@michaelalbertson7457 2 года назад
@@markb7067 Well, in the Bible, Malachi 3, God had written down the consequences of giving, and not giving, a tithe and offerings. Jesus did not mention tithes and offerings, nor did He annul them. We know tithes came pre law and that Abraham gave a tenth to Melchizedek. Only big churches can survive on any percentage of giving, but the small true churches not in a denomination, need tithes and offerings to operate. Therefore it does not seem unreasonable to give tithes and offerings. The New Testament says to joyfully give. I took that as, even though many times it was hard to give so much, God would take care of me if I gave joyfully. But many churches, big and small, abuse tithes and offerings, so tithes and offerings get a bad reputation. The practical side of me says, What if Malachi 3 is right for today and I don't give that way? It's too much of a risk to not give tithes and offerings, for today and for eternity. The practical and spiritual side of me says, tithes and offerings is right because the church has to operate without going into debt. I've always been in small churches, except one big one. The big one didn't ask for extra offering unless they had a building fund, etc. Not much pressure at all. Small churches are different, a lot of needs. What really matters to me, no matter how much I give, living godly is paramount. Also if we cast our bread on the waters, after many days it will come back to us, and other scriptures stating if we believe we will receive. God has always taken care of me, and I've always given tithes and offerings. One thing this generation does not consider is when this country was much more godly, tithes and offerings were taught in practically all the churches. Many, many think they are wiser than the elders. And God did not seem to rebuke those churches back then for tithes and offerings. This goes back over 300 years in America. But many of you all call God's word bondage. It's because you are in bondage to the pleasures of this world rather than lovers of God. You figure godliness is material gain. Spiritual gain, yes, and then the material gain, as God ordained for you, will follow. And that depends on your obedience to God's word that He spoke to you, not you picking out the scriptures that you like and telling God He has to do it that way. Maybe He will, but whatever happens, God's will was done. Get closer to Him in obedience and He will reveal to you what you need to know. A deceiving spirit has crept into the church in this area as well as other areas concerning what God requires of us. Beware.

I would sadly have to conclude that, after watching Creflo"s sermon, I do not believe that he truly repented from his false/erroneous teaching. The following two reasons that brought me to this conclusion are: 1) In the early portion of his sermon, Creflo said that he will not apologize. Which, to me, is an indication that he is not truly remorseful for the many years that his false/erroneous teaching profited financially through the sale of books, CD;s, and tithing. To say that He will not apologize because if it wasn't for him going down that route, he wouldn't have ended up where he is right now (video 4:15), hints at an issue of pride and an unwillingness to admit how much financial and practical damage his teachings on this topic has caused many, many others in the body of Christ. Which leads me to my second reason for coming to the conclusion as to why I do not believe that Creflo truly repented. 2) Creflo never made any mention of making any financial restitution towards the many that purchased the reading and study materials that pertained to his false/erroneous teaching. All he mentioned in his sermon was to tell the many people who purchased his teaching material, to throw away everything he ever taught on the subject of tithing (video 4:30). To suggest this to people, without even so much as a hint at attempting to make some sort of financial restitution, comes across as highly insensitive. Especially when a person is advised to throw away an item that was purchased with their hard-earned money. Now, with regards to restitution, this is a concept conveyed in both the OT and NT. www.gotquestions.org/restitution-Bible.html Repentance followed by restitution, wherever possible, is an indicator of genuine repentance. Lastly, while it might be practically impossible to return every single dime to the people who purchased his material and who tithed for many years, there honestly should be some attempt at bearing some fruit in keeping with repentance in this area. As of today, I have not heard any reports about the $27 Million Creflo Dollar Ministries moving forward to offer some kind of financial restitution to the hard working brothers and sisters in the body of Christ who purchased many of his study materials on tithing. (Please feel free to correct or update me if I am wrong about this). And that is just sad to me. Therefore, these are the reasons I sadly concluded that Creflo Dollar did not 'REALLY repent from teaching the false doctrine of tithing.'

You have a Pharisitical attitude. There's no requirement for restitution under repentance, none! Don't invent satanic doctrine like an 'old son' that you appear to be. An old son who held a grudge against his young brother when he returned home to his father. You are the one who should repent. If you gave all those monies, did you give them to Creflo or to God? If you gave them to Creflo, you have proven him correct about this fake tithing doctrine, because it would be an admission of the monies going to Pastors' pockets, but not to the church nor God. If you gave out of obedience to God, then why would you expect a pay back from him? This is too cheap! Have you asked a criminal to return all the loot from his victims? Or one who repents after murdering people, do you ask him to resurrect all those people he murdered? Your logic is flawed and one wonders if you are a true Christian. Pharisitical people like you make me sick! This is because you're the ones whose unGodly teachings keep weakening the church from the inside. The church is becoming impotent because of your kind.

@@HlubiNgwane Good morning. Thank you for your response. Before I go any further I would like to apologize to you and anyone who may have taken my views on this situation as offensive. Secondly, and more importantly, I apologize for not using Scripture to defend my position regarding the close connection between repentance and restitution. My aim here now is to show that restitution is a biblical concept and not one that stems from a "Pharisaical attitude." In Exodus 22:1,3-6,14 we read, 'Whoever steals an ox or a sheep and slaughters it or sells it must pay back five head of cattle for the ox and four sheep for the sheep... Anyone who steals must certainly make restitution, but if they have nothing, they must be sold to pay for their theft. If the stolen animal is found alive in their possession-whether ox or donkey or sheep-they must pay back double. If anyone grazes their livestock in a field or vineyard and lets them stray and they graze in someone else’s field, the offender must make restitution from the best of their own field or vineyard. If a fire breaks out and spreads into thornbushes so that it burns shocks of grain or standing grain or the whole field, the one who started the fire must make restitution... If anyone borrows an animal from their neighbor and it is injured or dies while the owner is not present, they must make restitution." (Exodus 22) Also in Leviticus 6:2-5 we read, "If anyone sins and is unfaithful to the Lord by deceiving a neighbor about something entrusted to them or left in their care or about something stolen, or if they cheat their neighbor, or if they find lost property and lie about it, or if they swear falsely about any such sin that people may commit- when they sin in any of these ways and realize their guilt, they must return what they have stolen or taken by extortion, or what was entrusted to them, or the lost property they found, or whatever it was they swore falsely about. They must make restitution in full, add a fifth of the value to it and give it all to the owner on the day they present their guilt offering." Now, I understand if your response to these verses is that they are coming from the Old Testament and that we are no longer under the law. Since this is the common objection anytime someone uses a passage from the OT to defend their position, I want to use a New Testament passage to show that restitution is a Biblical concept found there as well. In Luke 19:1-9 we read, "Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way. When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly. All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.” But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.” Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham." (Luke 19) Now, if restitution was not something that one should not consider to undertake whenever possible, surely Jesus would've taught that in this passage by rebuking Zacchaeus for having a Pharisaical attitude when he offered to pay back 4X the amount that he may have wrongly cheated anybody of. But, Jesus did not do that here. Will one accuse Jesus of having a Pharisaical attitude? I would hope not. Again, my aim here is not to add fuel to the fire or to sow any seeds of discord among us. My only aim is to apologize for not using Scripture to defend my position in my original post and to show us that restitution is indeed a biblical concept and not always one that is stemming from a heart that is trapped in legalism. I will end with the following quote, "Zacchaeus repented, and his sincerity was evident in his immediate desire to make restitution. Here was a man who was penitent and contrite, and the proof of his faith in Christ was his resolve to atone, as much as possible, for past sins. The same holds true for anyone who truly knows Christ today. Genuine repentance leads to a desire to redress wrongs. When someone becomes a Christian, he will have a desire born of deep conviction to do good, and that includes making restoration whenever possible. The idea of “whenever possible” is crucially important to remember. There are some crimes and sins for which there is no adequate restitution. In such instances, a Christian should make some form of restitution that demonstrates repentance, but at the same time, does not need to feel guilty about the inability to make full restitution. Restitution is to be a result of our salvation-it is not a requirement for salvation. If you have received forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus Christ, all of your sins are forgiven, whether or not you have been able to make restitution for them." - Got Questions (What Does the Bible Say About Restitution?) My prayer is that the Lord would cause His people to grow us into brothers and sisters that are willing to dialogue in a manner that honors Him and that truly shows that we are His disciples by the way we love one another (John 13:35). Heritage_RSA, if you are a believer, I never want to offend you in any way and I am sorry if I did. All I desire is that the Holy Spirit would use opportunities like this to grow us into the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and to conform us into His image. May His holy and inerrant Word be what shapes our interactions, thoughts, opinions, and choices, more and more, each day. Please pray that I would grow into the type of believer that will always allow the authority of Scripture to be my standard and to correct me whenever I am wrong or have wronged anyone. Thank you. Have a blessed day in the Lord.

I believe it’s ok that you give a tenth and even call it tithe. It’s not ok that it’s taught and someone says God requires it. For years I attended a church that was very much for tithing. I now 100% believe that particular teaching was “off” and have come to see how weak the overall ministry of that church is.

Yeah, I thought giving was one of the gifts of The Spirit, I also thought not everyone gets all the gifts. If all should be giving, all should be teaching, all should be prophesying, etc. It's inconsistent to focus on just one gift of The Spirit, and of course it's the gift that charlatans can profit from.

Bro. Allen, you're carrying on too much about speaking in tongues, Minister Dollar, didn't need an interpreter,, that was just a moment of the Holy Spirit exciting him with the true word of God. A form of praise, in an unknown language. Now if he was teaching about tithing in tongues, then yes, that would be a problem. Apparently, you never been moved by the Holy Spirit, in such a way, that it caused you to utter out a sound that you couldn't control with your own tongue. The problem you have is, you're trying to be in control of the words that are coming out of your mouth instead of letting the Spirit move within you. So if you can agree with the tithing, then surely you should be able to agree and understand there is an unknown tongue that doesn't require an interpreter, Minister Dollar was edified within himself by the power, the same power that guided him into the true knowledge of tithing. And that power being the Holy Ghost. Please don't make fun of someone speaking in an unknown tongue, because you may find yourself one day like Minister Dollar should the Spirit touch you in such a way. Be careful how you're judging a matter. Lastly, How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace! And today I found peace in the area of tithing ministered by you and Pastor Dollar. Now is there a way I can send you a a Love Offering. I have zelle.

Hence why he only knows as much as those that made him up. No God/Holy-book has EVER known a single thing that the Humans worshipping said God did not know. GET THIS: The God of the bible is literally a flat-earther and obviously does not even know WHAT Stars are! He doesnt even know what Stars are BECAUSE the people who made... him... up... didnt know. This holds true 100 Percent. I cant stress this number of 100 enough: 100% of all Cases, Gods of all Religions have the IDENTICALLL Amount of Knowledge about the World that the People in that place happened to have. What a COINCIDENCE!!! This 100% Coincidence happens in Trillions over Trillions of Cases, which is Remarkable. If it didnt debunk God, the Coincidence-Amount Itself would PROVE GOD, haha.

If you see someone in line struggling to pay for groceries, help them. If you see someone at a bus stop (especially with a child) in the heat or in the cold, give them money to take a cab the next day. If you see someone that needs a coat or shoes, buy them some. Give your money directly to them, not a church. Churches are not good stewards of your money to help others. Plus, don’t tell ANYONE you have helped someone, or you will lose your reward from God. Your reward will only be those telling you what a good person you are for helping.
