I’m about 60 and my mom made me an Elvis fan since near birth. Saved my allowance from mowing the lawn and saw Elvis with my mom in June of 1974 in Des Moines Iowa when I was 9. It was an experience of a lifetime and he was on top of his game that night. When people talk concerts they have attended the discussion ends when I say I saw Elvis. This guy lived my dream; grew up at Graceland hanging with the King, family and all the King’s men. I am hooked on these videos. Thanks so much for sharing these memories for all eternity! Ha ha Gary, yeah I get the same reaction when I tell people I saw Elvis in person. Rooms go silent! First question is usually "but how old are you? Elvis has been dead for nearly 50 years". I am 76, and saw Elvis when I was 28.
Love what you said about Elvis the real man. Even his fans on the other side of the world could sense he was a caring and kind man. It was reflected in his music,the feeling and emotion he put into his singing, the expressions on his face and in his eyes. I always thought when watching his movies, you could see a piece of the real Elvis on screen underneath the character he was playing. We all loved him so much, I can never imagine what it must have been like to live with him, even if it was only part of the time.
I and am sure others would like to know, what does Laney think of Elvis? How does she feel having relatives who hung with the King of Rock and Roll? Would be an interesting perspective. Thanks.

I have no sympathy for Priscilla, she had every chance to love her daughter and grandson, but power and money was where her heart was. I'm not saying she didn't love them, but she let power and money stand in front of "time with" and she didn't spend love with them. And how do I know this, what was the very first thing she done when Lisa passed away? ATTORNEY! Because she didn't know Lisa changed her will, why didn't she know? She did not have a relationship with Lisa when Lisa passed away, sure they made appearance s together, but that was exactly what it was,a good look. Lisa said she heard the thud in her father's bathroom and went to see. Ginger who was not quite awake but offered to hold her hand and find Lisa's daddy. They walked into his bathroom where he was slumped over, bluish face down in the carpet with feces on the floor and toilet. Ginger called for help and she and Lisa were quickly ushered out. Ginger was packed up and sent to her parents, never to be invited back for exposing Lisa to the grisly sight. Lisa spent the rest of her life grieving over the last image. She became a grief advisor.
I think Ginger, who was young and a bit average, didn’t know quite what to make of her relationship with Elvis, and wasn’t really in love with him. Elvis sensed this so proposed to keep her onboard. Yet she kept wanting to go home and some said she had a ‘real’ boyfriend her own age away from the Graceland bubble. And in the background her mother was furiously gold digging - scoring houses and cars and cash. All of this just drove Vernon and Vestor crazy. Elvis was in debt, and Graceland was mortgaged, yet the money was still rushing out like a river. So once Elvis passed Vernon swiftly put a stop to every freeloader around. He was hated for it, but he was perhaps the first person to step up and save both Graceland and Elvis’s legacy.
