I actually think it will be a curvball trying. Like think about this, Hisuian Typhlosion was Fire/Ghost, but that's weak to hisuian Samurott Water/Dark, but Hisuian Decidueye was Grass/Fighting which isn't weak to ghost. I think that Serperior will be grass/ electric due to Kalos being electric like france, eiffel Tower, and the Serperior being based on royalty

Considering they showed those starters near the Hisuian starters, they probably did. 1. Snivy: French royalty⚜ 2. Torchic: French rooster🐓 3. Piplup: French emperor 🧅

Empoleon and Serperior make sense given the regional theme of Kalos: France. Empoleon is obviously based off of Napoleon Bonaparte, and Serperior is partially based off of western royalty. The fire starter is kind of confusing, but if it’s not Torchic, I can see Scorbunny considering its soccer motif.

For the possible starters are prediction are: Snivy, Torchic, and Piplup. Final Evolution Type: -Serperior(Grass/Fighting) _Blaziken(Fire/Flying) -Empoleon(Water/Ice)

This has been exactly what I’m thinking but everyone is like “But BLAZIKEN HAS MEGA” while I was like new starters would get regional forms rather than mega forms..

Yeah exactly the starters don’t necessarily have to have megas. And if they did, that would mean the regional Blaziken would get a mega. And I think all of us are expecting a mega charizard Z so Pokémon with existing megas could get new megas. It’s all speculation! Fun time to be a pokemon fan!

I wouldn’t mind Snivy at all. I’m mixed on piplup, kinda don’t want it but🤷‍♂️. PLZ NO TORCHIC, he alrdy has a mega, plz choose someone else Pokémon🙏. Imo, these are my hopes: Totodile Turtwig Tepig Or Totodile Chimchar Snivy

Despite some probably strong evidence, I don't think they'd use any Gen 3 starters. Blaziken has a mega evolution, and since Mega Evolution is coming back, that would mean one of the starters would already have a mega. Idk. Just me.

Well instead of Serperior, the grass starter that just got a Tera raid event is Meganium with psychic type. Do you think there’s still a chance for the Snivy line since Snivy was still seen in the trailer?

Hard to say! The trailer could have been a bait and switch or this raid could be! I think Snivy has more ties with France than Chikorita but we’ll have to see!

Literally my favourite of each starter trio, and some of my favourite pokemon of all time. So. I'd probably take all three. LOL. Piplup is napoleon, Snivy is based on french royalty & militants and roosters are france's national animal. It's a pretty strong trio to consider!

In my opinion seperior's secondary type will be steel as it works with the other types and fighting was used in the last legends game. Plus it would make for an interesting type for contrary seperior.

I just hope this time Chesnaught, Delphox and Greninja get Mega Evolutions. Ash Greninja doesn’t count because it’s a special Pokémon. But who knows.

That doesn't make sense tho, wouldn't the starters get megas? and blaziken already HAS a mega, so I bet it will be either incineroar/cinderace as the fire type.

The starters won’t necessarily have megas. And in ORAS we had mega Blaziken from XY with the new starters megas. I think Blaziken is popular enough to warrant a new mega but I’d prefer other mons get some love

You couldn't get the original decidueye, samurott and typhlosion in legend arceus so Kalosian Blaziken wouldn't have a mega yet

It’s time that we get more Gen 5 Megas. I wished the starters had Mega Evolution, but Regional Forms make more sense because of the Hisui starters.

I feel like we Will get Snivy, Scorbunny and Piplup in Legends Z-A Gamefreak Idon't thing they would use birds Serperior will be Grass Steel type based on high class and Steel Cut Jewelry which was big in 1800s in France, Cinderace will be Fire Ground type you play soocer on the ground and the first soccer club in France came from England to built The Eiffel Tower, and a French Lop Rabbit with the brown spots, Empoleon will be Water Ice because first French explorer found west Antarctica Adelie Land January 20, 1840 where Adélie Penguins are from. If we get Scorbunny as a starter it would be exactly 6 years since we got Sword and Shield the thing happened to Rowlet 6 years after we got Rowlet as a Legends Arceus starter

Legends games aren't considered main-line games as they're not running competitive formats on them. They're a spin-off that let you eventually link the regional pokemon up with the current generation mainline games. That being said, if this speculation of starters is true, I do hope to see a chonky chokobo type chicken coming out of Blaziken

Yeah the definition of “main-line games” has been less black and white recently (see what I did there 😉) with the Lets Go games and Legends. I consider them mainline games though. To me spin-offs are games like snap, stadium, mystery dungeons etx

i would like a flying type torchic although it might look weird and i hope they get rid of blazikens um 'hairy places' i always feel uneasy when i see it maybe it looks weird because it's based off of a panted chic that schools would give to kids and those chic's would shortly become ugly roosters

The starter selection seems solid, but I'm less convinced of the type combinations, as I'm not sure GameFreak would actually want to spoil the surprise of the new forms like that when the game could be a year or more away. Also, speaking of new types, it seems unlikely the starters would get both new regional forms and Mega Evolutions, seems more likely it will be one or the other, and probably Mega's for the added hype. Which might make Torchic less likely to be one of the Legends starter, since it already had a Mega. Then again Torchic with its mega stone was the launch event distribution for X/Y, so it's arguably already got a connection to the Kalos region, and if Charizard can have both an X and a Y mega, Blaziken could certainly get a new Z mega.

@@EastsidedTTV: Assuming these actually are the three starters, it would be really imbalanced if Empoleon and Serperior got brand new megas, which seems very likely, but Blazeken was stuck with only its original.

Why do you think it’s unlikely they would get a regional form? I would think it’s more likely they would get a regional form tho? It’s Legends game after all and they are in Kalos regions. Torchic was a mystery gift from game freak as a promotional Pokémon but it is not a local Pokémon in Kalos Pokédex like other starters. It doesn’t count as Kalos native Mon? And it would be more boring for players to play the same Pokémon if we don’t get new Pokémon (regional forms) like in PLA. Imagine going through PLA with normal decidueye. I would just put him in the box.

Which maybe likely since PLA Pokémon can’t hold item… Origin forms were permanent too.

I like this theory, the only thing bothering me is Torchic who already got a mega and I don't think GF will make another starter get two megas like their favorite child Charizard. But, who knows maybe the starters don't mega evolve like in XY and the og kalos trio finally do.

What I think is that if there is megas for the starters they’ll be regional megas only usable with that form of the starters, which we haven’t gotten a chance to really see because no new megas came out since gen 6. This would half solve the dual blaziken mega phenomenon. Besides, blaziken is also a very popular starter, so it’s not impossible they give it a second one

The only thing that doesn’t make sense to me is why would they do regional forms of Pokemon that are already top picks of their region? This is basically undeniable proof but considering Rowlett and Oshawott are the least favorites and Cyndaquil because it’s either him or Incineroar, I can’t help but question now if these are the real starters or if that really is just a strange coincidence

@@EastsidedTTV Mudkip is the favorite with Torchic tied or a close second, considering it was the first to get a mega, an argument can be made for who’s more loved. But after a while I know for sure Sceptile fell off, which doesn’t mean Sceptile is bad to any capacity, the gen 3 trio is one of the best for just how each one is so equal, but Sceptile still is the least picked. Snivy and Tepig are the most picked for Snivy’s HA and whatnot and Tepig for explosive power and ability to steamroll the game making Oshawott an obvious choice for a regional variant, etc
