I heard this in a club in Tampa and I remember exactly where I was in the club cause I stopped dead. For more years then I care to admit I sang this song but had no idea who did this mix. The one day I was watching a movie and heard a version of the song and finally I was able to put it all together and find my way to this! One of the best nights of my life and in the middle of it this song just got me. Good times!!!!
A 1968 old song, written by Jeff Buckley's father, Tim, which has been covered hundrends times... from P. Gabriel, G. Michael even Robert Plant who said it is the most beautiful song in the world and he loved both Tim's and Jeff's work. Ironically the best cover is said to be of the band This Mortal Coil, 1984. 10 yrs later, the lead singer of TMC Elizabeth Fraser (Massive Attack) would be involved with Jeff Buckley, while recording together a song, just a few months before he was lost, ironically, to the sea.
This Mortal Coil was a vanity project by the 4AD Label executive Ivo Watts-Russell, who used TMC to showcase his labels talent, but not a band as most people think. Elizabeth Fraser was never the lead singer for TMC, because there are many female singers on each album. Elizabeth was the lead singer for the Cocteau Twins, who transitioned over to be featured by Massive Attack and the song that Jeff Buckley and Elizabeth sang together is titled, "All Flowers in Time Bend Towards the Sun". Jeff was found drown in the 'Port of Memphis' and not the ocean.

Thats what I thought last night heard the music at end of H.T.I.D video but he played different song so all night and found 3 remixes and this song is called SONG OF THE SIREN and DID I DREAM ABOUT YOU ..WEARD THEY COME UP THE SAME SONG
Great song, however Paul Oakenfold did a remix on "another world" disk 2 that is by far the best remix of this song in my humble opinion. Check it out!
I'm trying to find an electronic version mix of this song and it was by a singer and her name started with a d but I don't remember exactly. Does anyone have any idea?
@CaLyPsOLyCaN Yes dont judge tiesto over his music from last couple years... He was in the 90's and begin 2000's (up untill 2004) THE BEST. Remixes and his own songs kicked everyones ass.
