Yourself, was a great gospel singer singing gospel music when you was little and grew up professionally. Also, Yourself was born and raised from Cleveland, Ohio and later met with Co-lead vocalist Mr. Walter Williams and formed The O'Jays in the middle 1950's as a four member singing band and signed with Chicago's Chess Records label and met with founder the late Mr. Leonard Chess who did ran and operate his own record label at the time back then. In 1968, Yourself and Mr. Walter Williams met with founders of Philadelphia International Records in Philadelphia, PA are none other than Mr. Kenneth Gamble and Mr. Leon A. Huff and signed them to a long term record deal with the old CBS Records distribution until 1984 and released Backstabbers in 1972. Backstabbers is one of my all-time favorite soul songs of all-time and it goes: "A smile on your face, All the time that they wanna take your place, The Backstabbers, Backstabbers!"
