I dig how there's an entire family of them (which localization totally obliterated by changing the names). You've got your ironknuck, your tartknuck ("Darknut"), there's a bombknuck in there. Hammerknuck (that one's a lizalfos), and of course Reboknuck from Zelda 2.

After going through around roughly half of the enemies in the original, it seems that a good chunks translation is just wack. Either it being completely different or just a new spelling. In the original Goryias looked like bears to me then some sort of walking sarcophagus type enemy in ALttP, l think they are pretty cool enemies! I also agree I think for the later games goryias kinda got washed down to the two less intelligent type enemies, but I think this also goes back to the style of the game Goryias would be pretty freaky to kids if they wondered around a true 3D game and not a top down version!

@@Bashfulday and what's even weirder is that some of that localization appears to come straight from japan, at least going by the manuals. They either didn't understand how to put things into roman letters properly, or thought this would get us close. (I know they were also responsible for things like "DODONGO DISLIKES SMOKE" because they didn't realize they could let local folks do that for them) And that goes for such important names as Hyrule or Ganondorf.. those are not written in katakana the way we pronounce them. More like hyral and ganondorov

I know, it was the first one I made it was trial and error. I plan on making a long completed video of all the parts and fixing stuff like this!

Thank you! 💕 I like BotW but i genuinely think ALttP is extremely underrated especially with the new play style being integrated and showing more of a Zelda we know today while combining the aspects of the Original!

@@Bashfulday I actually haven't played that, or if I did it has been a very long time. It's definitely on my list to play. My favorite "traditional" Zelda game is probably Wind Waker!
