A lot of people had contrasting views on their relationship because of this weird voice directing on Topaz(and Ratio) towards aventurine Now back to the video,you probably didn't understand because Jade is very smooth and sly in her inquiries, and questions Topaz about her thoughts on penacony to smoothly "walk" towards the topic of Topaz relationship with Aventurine. - Jade asks Topaz what she thinks on Penacony,Topaz answers according to the IPC's interests -Jade then says:"...but what i *truly want to know* is: this project is too *bland* for your taste. isn't it?" -what Jade wants to know is not how Penacony can benefit the IPC, but why Topaz wanted to be in this project in the first place. What benefit/value Penacony brings to Topaz? if the planet itself doesn't match the kind of project Topaz likes to take on, she is *not there for professional reasons*, but for something *personal* that was *valuable/important to the point of making her take on a project that had nothing to do with her*

It's a big deal for Topaz to go to Penacony for no reason other than Aventurine,and Jade starts reflecting loudly about their trust, bringing up the Cornestone, "something as precious as life itself",as another proof of their deep relationship/trust. Take into account this "loud thinking" is a way for Jade to indirectly question Topaz about her relationship with Aventurine -Topaz realized what Jade is trying to get into. She is apparently embarrased and caught off guard,(at 1:53 she is stuttering a little and her tone of voice changes,speaking more slowly and trying to be cautious with her words) as Topaz evades Jade's remarks about their trust/deep relationship and says Jade also gave her own Cornestone. Topaz keeps talking until she fully changes the topic to the negotiations, evading Jade's inquiries about her personal relationship with Aventurine.

- Jade realized Topaz's deflection,making one last remark about Aventurine in 2:23 "[...]at least he is still alive,and *that's the best outcome*" this little line is to tease Topaz,Jade is not fully letting go of the topic. Topaz doesn't say anything about Jade's remark,and shuts down this topic in 2:28 "looks like...we've strayed off-topic, Miss Jade. Should we discuss out next steps" - though Jade's smooth ways, the conversation seen in the video quickly went from professional to personal. I hope my analysis helps you notice the intricacy of their words! To anyone that reads this,it doesn't matter whether or not you ship them romantically,what matters and that i'm trying to show is that they have a very deep relationship,they like and trust eachother, surpassing the boundaries of "just being professional". However, it does seem they have a hard time showing their feelings. Aventurine has difficulty with trust and developing his relationships, and Topaz seems to be scared of showing her true feelings. If anything, what Topaz says implies that she's more into investing in Penacony to cover for Jade so that Aventurine's plans are successful, along so that Jade's cornerstone is safe, despite Penacony being too bland for Topaz's preferences. This one is based off my memory, but Topaz was implied to trust and acknowledge Aventurine's luck and his method of doing things before, so it doesn't sound like her contribution is all for the sake of Jade either. So to me, it sounds like Topaz has equal trust for Jade and Aventurine, enough to let them borrow her cornerstone. No trace of crushes or romantic feelings anywhere to me. I get that it's funny because of Sam Slade simping for Aventurine, but I really don't see it with Topaz.
