Japan cannot save it's economy permanently until their birth rates are better, they are quickly getting to a point where younger generations cannot maintain taking care of the older ones.
it's a never ending cycle, low yen means low births because of unsustainable living costs, means less people to support pensions, means less overall money. immigration would maybe solve this but importing people to do low-wage jobs would destroy japan's cultural homogeneity. it would mean a complete cultural shift in japan that hasn't really happened. Japan is still stuck with centuries old culture and to import so many people would mean a complete remap of that culture in a few decades.

I'll come up with something to explain Mecha Robots and their shenanigans. Mecha Robots have fingers and legs because their controls are to be synchronized with the movement of the human inside. Having a sword arm would be detrimental because the person riding would have to lose their arm and get a corresponding sword prosthetic - or at least waste more time training to get used to it. Keeping things human also makes it easier to replace parts. Now, they have to be high schoolers when riding mechs because they're barely at legal age. That allows them to somewhat hold the responsibility of riding those things while also having the malleable brain that helps a lot getting used to a mech's control system that most of the time wires up with the brain itself. Third reason is that they all got inspired by Attack on Titan, which is the most popular mecha anime.
I think I just lost 10 IQ points reading this. AoT inspired all mecha anime? Have you never heard of fucking MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM?? Or MACROSS? WTF are you on about? And why would someone need to remove their arm to use a sword-armed mecha? Hold your hand flat and voila, sword-shaped arm. Make the connection point for the sword be the elbow joint and you're good to go. Also, there is no universe in which replacing parts of an intricately articulating hand with dozens of joints and motors that need to work in perfect unison is easier than just replacing the giant hunk of metal for the blade.

It's a very slow moving disaster. Even in the 90s this was seen. That being said there's still a lot of room to fall. Many folks in Japan have traveled overseas for tourism. It was taken for granted. For the rest of the world, there are many citizens who will live and die not being outside of their town/city/county.

A good example of this is the way the Fed sells money to the US department of treasury. When that happens, it automatically starts a cycle of debt. From that point no matter whether the currency grows in value or devalues everything is still debt, small or large, and as a result more money is sold so the debt keeps growing. That growth is inflation. The more debt accrues the more inflation increases. And in an ultimate irony because debt increases it requires the printing and selling of more money. That extra money devalues the original money, which makes the inflation increase.
@@tactrix1h Literally have a degree in economics and computer science. Sure the fed sells money effectively via T-Bills but that does not in any way mean that it is the root of inflation. No serious economist would say that the currently waves of inflation are due to debt. Hell Japan has a 250% GDP to Debt ratio, almost elusively from their domestic market, by far the highest in the world, and has struggled with deflation and cant even get above 3% inflation rates even with Quantitative easing.
