I'm Christian and I've been working towards eating more and more kosher for the last 4 years. I have only eaten pork by mistake maybe 3 or 4 times. I haven't touched shellfish in 3 years. It's not easy! This is something God called on my heart to obey His command. I recently discovered the FDA's low standards for non meat products and now I have to give up another one of my favorites (peanut butter). It's so hard to find good Kosher food in my area and a bag of kosher chicken breasts is $20! Other Christians have told me I'm wrong, but I'm so happy to see this video! I wanna give myself a high five! I KNEW IT!!!

The whole issue here is about being justified by the law v/s justification by faith. And whoever has read the NT knows what happens to those who seek to be justified by the law. The passage by Paul to Titus in Titus 3:9 "But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless" clearly tell us that these discussions do not profit anyone. People say that because of Mark 7:19 they , under the New Testament, can eat a ham sandwich, while under the old testament they couldn't. If this is what Peter understood when he heard Jesus say it, it makes one wonder why, 9 years later, Peter said, "Not so, Lord, for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean". (Acts 10:14) Apparently, Peter had not received any instruction that unclean meats were now clean during all that time.

I'm new to being a Christian (after 33 years of denying God), but I'm someone who takes His Word very seriously, so I'm a huge fan of your channel. Many of those who follow you seem to be saying it is more important to be Jewish than a follower of Jesus Christ . Jesus Christ was falsely accused by Scribes teaching Jewish Law in the name of God they said. Jesus Then denounced Jerusalem and left it desolate until they say blessed is He who comes in the name of The Lord. It would be very sad to be forbidden to enter into thanksgiving with you because of mosaic law but that is a choice you will have to make. Your teachings seem very sound on and against corruption and adultery; what does food type have to do with those things? How does food types corrupt I would like verses that make clear how food types are corrupting a persons soul?

This gives me what I need to use to convince people who think that now all foods are clean and that they can go ahead and take the chapters in Leviticus's regarding the food laws of clean and unclean animals and throw it out with. Yesterday's trash. God never changes his mind. The animals that are unclean yesterday are the same today and tomorrow, and forever. Once you pay attention to what a lot of those animals are and what they eat, and the genetic makeup of their bodies, that allows them to eat those things that our bodies cannot handle. It justifies why we need to leave. Certain animals off our plates for good. .

Many of the laws of Israel come from Mesopotamia and Egypt. When we are told that Jesus is priest according to the order of Melchizedek has a great significance. Jesus brakes the bread and takes wine, bless them and shared it. This is the same ritual performed be Melchizedek in the book of Genesis. Jesus brought us back to what really matters to God since the beginning of creation. It's not about traditions, but rather to please God doing what is good.

As a Muslim, I try to explain to my Christian family that pork is also forbidden in the Bible and how those verses have nothing to do with making all things clean. Yet they do not listen, because I am not a christian and apparently 'don't have the holy spirit'. Yet I study the Bible day and day out, much more than they ever have. So hopefully this will help. the church I was attended served breakfast before Easter service and joked starting the resurrection sermon saying he thinks Gods favorite meat is pork. i won't be going there again. it's one thing to eat it but to joke about God and promote it on resurrection Sunday... People hate the idea of sacrifice. They want the idea of salvation, without the "inconvenience". All 8 scriptures that seem to abolish the food laws are misunderstood.

AMEN. Learning to eat a Biblical based diet, teaches us to look at food differently. We are also told not to mingle seed. Ever hear of GMO's? YAH's Torah contains instructions to keep us healthy and content. For ever unclean food I gave up in the past, were replaced with better, tastier, healthier food. HALLALLUYAH! He love us so much. Everytime the issue of clean and unclean comes up, a Pastor or someone runs straight to the". . . Peter eat this meat" verse. I have never seen how GOD's speaking to 1 man and making an allowance during a specific time of need, negated the entire Leviticus Chapter on clean and unclean. I really feel that because people want to eat and do what they please regardless of the standards GOD has set, that they choose to interpret incorrectly so that they may continue to eat swine, shellfish, and other fish without scales. Thankyou so much for creating this video. It reassured me about holding steadfast to GOD's Word even when some men deny certain things to be able to get away with them.

Every single Greek text I consulted, including Codex Siniaticus, Codex Vaticanus, Codex Alexandrinus, and all versions of the Textus Receptus, all agree that Mark 7:19 ends with the phrase, "καθαρίζον πάντα τὰ βρώματα..." - Literally: Cleaning all the foods. In fact, I could not find a single Greek text without it. Thus, the theory that someone appended these words as some kind of after-the-fact commentary seems quite unfounded. The King James version does NOT do justice to the plain meaning of the words actually employed. The plain message of the entire passage conveys the idea that "whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him..." (Mark 7:18.) The consumption of unclean animals, according to the Mosaic Law, rendered a person defiled and ritually impure, thereby requiring some form of purification ritual and/or sacrifice on that person's behalf. I don't know how to reconcile both given that: 1) the first commands to gentiles, as recorded in Acts, regarding their behavior did not enjoin them from eating all unclean meats, much less to keep the whole Mosaic dietary law; 2) the comment in Romans 14:20 regarding food, that "all things are clean" (πάντα μὲν καθαρά); 3) and all the other verses in which Paul declares all foods lawful for him. Consider, also, that the issue of ritual purity existed to insure standing before God in the sacrificial system of worship. As explained in some depth in the Letter to the Hebrews, we have a new covenant based upon the perfect sacrifice of Jesus who also serves as high priest of the order of Melchizedek forever, and that his sacrifice was once for all. Thus, the New Covenant based on the promises of God (see Jeremiah 31) has made the old covenant obsolete.

I was taught not to eat pork. i believed that for a long time. but when i realized that God made the gentiiles clean, it dawned on me that Gentiles were eating unclean food, yet the word of God says that God made the gentiles clean. Gentiles were clean even though they were eating unclean food because they were made clean by faith in Christ, not by what they eat. So then God encouraged me to eat port, so that it would sink into me that it's wrong to not eat port because you think it's unclean. Why? because that negates what God did through christ to make us clean.

Beautifully put brother. I'm basically new to taking the lord my God serious and studying his desire for creation and humans. I will say this: I'm at a point to were there is NO proof through Jesus were he changed law and I'm tired in the mind of how people are chrlerry picking on what to follow and what not to. It's clear through the fall of the temple and through jesus christ, hence the name "Lamb" that he was the perfect sacrifice. I'm coming to the conclusion that we as God's children need to obey all that's applicable of his LAW in modern society. From what I'm studying, some laws are specific to gender and location but I see no reason but arguments on why we don't obey ALL that we can of his word. These are the same people that claim jesus never changed law but yet don't keep the Sabath, don't preach about head coverings and women/Man roles. I'm here, new to GODs light and yet just by my hard short time studying, how can people cherry pick but at the same time claim jesus never changed law but yet say he has, for example: dietary laws. Beautifully put and put together about jesus saying food when all items are not food to begin with, only what god desired to be food in the first place counts AS food. Amen and I'm really looking for guidance on a teacher who follows the scriptures in the best way they can be followed in modern society. I have seen and understand God did put difference between The descendents of jacob and the Gentiles on what to follow but yet many laws that gentiles should keep all the same while telling among his chosen people. I also think that people assume that all the writings of the bible are completely sin free and the writers are far from it. Yes the writings are truthful but it has been stated the apostles did sin and even when it came to teaching the gentiles, it clearly states what "We" as in the elders and apostles decided that the gentiles needed to follow. Theres No record of every commandment that GOD or Jesus decided for the gentiles. The main law most Christians follow are the 10 commandments and some rules given by the apostles. I also plan on getting baptized in yeshuas name. I was ignorantly baptized when I was young but as I stated, finally, my mind yearns for god and I want to do it right. Tell me what everyone thinks about all I've said, someone with true wisdom and not man made ideals please. One question I always ask is that ok, if gentile and children of isreal, not just "jews", another man made tradition but I always ask if these 2 types of people have different laws to apply then How do we know if we do or don't have the blood of the 12 tribes in us and how com nobody asks this question? I really want to know why we don't take precaution and obey all laws as if the 12 tribes runs through our viens. I can't find an answer and I pray for help on this revelation, thankyou. Also: there is a complete blasphemy on some versions of the bible, I also don't understand how some could recommend these versions that can have lies and human made ideals in them. I grew up with KJV and I've studied so far in it, I like the audio of NKJV and I've recently turned to the NASB 1995 edition for more depth of word on word accuracy which I feel should be the best do to it taking less human idelas out of it but some say different. I've also studied and have opened my mind to translations in general and how those biblical languages changed and the true meanings of certain words in these past languages. I feel people miss some meanings due to lack of knowledge of biblical hebrew and greek and I understand a person could study for 20 years and may not still grasp all the nuassiances. I want to grasp gods word in English better before, if gods will allows me to move on to those biblical languages.
