In the NT we see demons who actually possess people. The early Christians reasoned that the fallen angels are the evil spirits in the OT and the departed spirits of the Nephilim are the demons that lack bodies and therefore possess people. This view was also common amongst intertestamental period Jews. A case can be made from Scripture (and has been made for thousands of years) for either view.
I've found a common theme among man-created religions: only one person (Muhammad, Joseph Smith) claimed to experience the supernatural event, and no one was allowed to question or dispute it. Compare that to Christianity, which had over 500 eyewitnesses, and they would compare their accounts to each other and who on occasion challenged each other (i.e. Paul rebukes Peter for his attitude toward Gentile believers).

One time I believe I got a glimpse of a demon, I was terrified. I was doing something I shouldn't and all of a sudden I sensed it, heard it, and got a glimpse (a hooded figure kneeling next to me with arms crossed.) I was paralyzed with fear that I didn't do anything for 30 minutes.

Firstly angels don't hang around caves or dark dungeons. Secondly the angel Gabriel of the bible always 100% would come encouraging those whom he was sent to minister to. Never did he frighten those he visited nor did he strangle anyone. On the other hand evil spirits strangulating someone is not uncommon. So putting all together definitely it's not the real angel Gabriel who did any of these.

Whatever muhammad met with, and that presented itself as Gabriel, was certainly not the Gabriel presented in the bible. Not only is he both forceful and violent with muhammad, pretty sure there is a passage in which "Gabriel" stops visiting muhammad, who then goes into despair, and when he returns, he tells muhammad he couldnt see him cause there was a dog pup hiding in muhammad's tent, and somehow this animal warded off "Gabriel". Muhammad proceeds to order his followers to kill all the dogs in the city, and this is the reason muslims in general are taught to hate dogs and see them as unclean animals. What kind of angel can simply be kept away by the presence of an animal? Additionaly, the way muhammad supposedly became a prophet is in stark difference to the way every biblical figure came to be in contact with God and angels. In the bible, its rare for people to actualy seek to be a prophet or have the ability to perform miracles. Muhammad, on the other hand, spent months praying in a cave, because he really wanted to become a prophet and contact God, until "Gabriel" finally came upon him.
You have to understand something, in the Bible the people Angel Gabriel visited were fully aware of existence of supernatural beings, prophet Muhammad wasn't aware of such beings actually being real so his reaction was appropriate, also Angels have a spiritual presence to them which burn away sins and prior to Islam, prophet Muhammad was attached to paganism through his family so all the Jinns/demons connected to him were burned away. It could be also that Angel Gabriel appeared differently to prophet Muhammad, perhaps in his true form as described in Qur'an; 6 wings, unimaginable size and otherworldly radiance/glow

At first, you argued that Muhammad was unaware of the reality of supernatural beings, but then you stated he was attached to paganism and yet pagans certainly believed that preternatural entities were real. At any rate, your first argument doesn't work. Abraham (who is referred to as a prophet in Gen 20:7) also came from a ancient Near East pagan family, yet when he encounters the supernatural for the first time, he does not think He is a dark spirit nor does he attempt any self-harm. Your second argument doesn't work either. Angels appear in glory to many different prophets and none of them believed them to be jinn nor do any of the Hebrew or Christian prophets attempt to hurt themselves.

We can see a fair bit of subtlety in the current deception being promulgated, I don't personally see anything equivalent in the writings of Mohammed, and especially not with Joseph Smith. Demons, if they truly were instrumental in the writing should have taken far more care for the sake of credibility. I would place more stock in some of the channeled writings from the New Age, although it's not necessary as a Christian to be overly familiar with such.
Why would demons have needed to be even more thorough? Enough deception was created to hold hostage over a billion people as we speak. And we’ve already witnesses that this spirit of deception is so powerful, many will not turn from this ideology even when confronted with facts that dismantle its entire narrative.

Ive believed this exact thing for years after hearing what's written in the Quran about Mohammed/ Gabriel. Everything stated in this video is accurate, but I can add a few more: 1. Mohammed wasnt just an ordinary man with sin. He was a sexual deviant, a warmonger, and most likely, a narcissist. A much different type of human being than the prophets that preceded him. 2. It also says in the Quran that Mohammed felt that his soul was being ripped from his body after interactions with Gabriel. Im not a Bible scholar, but ive never heard of this experience with any other biblical characters. 3. At one point Gabriel grabbed and choked Mohammed. This is another huge, red flag imo. These dont seem like the actions of an angel sent by God to deliver His message, and Mohammed definitely does not seem like the proper type to receive it.
Galations chapter 1 verse 8 warns us not to believe in a different gospel EVEN IF SPOKEN BY AN ANGEL. Because 2 Corinthians chapter 11 verse 14 says Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. But Muslims will simply reply the Bible is corrupt. Despite the Dead Sea Scrolls of the first century being in Aramaic the language spoken by Jesus and being word for word identical. No change equals no corruption. No previous bible ever found either. Then there are the 7 first century historians, 2 of which were not Christian, so we can rule out bias. Much better to quote their own Qur'an at them ! Surah 3 verse 54 says when Allah saw man deceiving he said he could deceive better because Allah is the greatest deceiver. A title reserved for Satan. Most Muslims claim the word is planner not deceiver, yet the Qur'an disagrees. It says Allah only made it look like Jesus was crucified. So not only did Allah deceive billions of Christians and Jews worldwide, he also single handedly invented Christianity ! Surah 3 verse 55 says Allah will give favour to the followers of Christ (Not Mohammed). Surah 5 verse 68 commands people of the book Jews and Christians to judge by the Torah and the Gospel. If these are corrupt, why is Allah saying this. Is this part of his deception ? Is Allah evil ? Surah 9 verse 29 says when you conquer and subdue (outnumber) your enemy you get them to pay the jizzah (protection money, racketeering) and if they refuse to convert to Islam you are to carry on fighting. Here the word means to the death, by beheading. So how can Jesus and Mohammed be both prophets from an unchanging Allah if they teach opposites ? Jesus taught us to love thy enemy, pray for those who persecute us, turn the other cheek, and let God take vengence. So if I have to follow both, do I love then behead or behead then love ! The same goes for marriage. Jesus said it is the union between one man and one woman. Mohammed said up to four wives. But Mohammed is the only prophet in history to be exempt from Allah 's own laws. Why did Gabriel not know Mohammed could not read ? Did Allah forget to tell Gabriel ? Perhaps Allah is not all knowing ? Muslims correctly believe Jesus is the Messiah. Yet they deny Jesus fulfilled Isaiah chapter 53 verse 8, 9, 12 and Psalm chapter 22 verse 16. So is Jesus not the Messiah or did Jesus fulfil. Either way the Qur'an is a fake. Jesus claimed to be God. He said I am the Father are one. He said God alone can forgive sins and I forgive sins. Before Abraham was, I am. If you have seen Me, you have seen God. Jesus also accepted worship. So was Jesus lying ? Yes, means the Qur'an is a fake because either Jesus is not a prophet or prophets can lie. No, means Jesus is God and the Qur'an is still a fake. Muslims claim Mohammed is the final prophet. So you mention Joseph Smith also met an angel with the same message, yet Mr. Smith had three witnesses, and Mohammed had none. Mohammed did not perform a single miracle. The Qur'an says Allah would protect his prophet, yet Mohammed became possessed by Satan (Shaytan in Arabic) to the point Allah had to correct him and Mohammed was so spaced out he did not know whether he has slept with Aisha. You know the 6 year old he married and slept with her aged 9. Don't be fooled by Islam. It is devil worship. They kiss the Black Stone during the Hajj pilgrimage. I'll give you one. Surah At-Tariq (86:6-7): "He was created from a fluid, ejected, stemming from between the backbone and the ribs." Here it says that the sperm(fluid) is made between the backbone and ribs, so somewhere around the stomach or intestine. But scientifically and biologically it's the Testes that makes the sperms. And it is BELOW the backbone.

Oh sure, if you exclude all the God and Jesus parts, it’s all really just all the same thing really. Sun gods, Son of God, what's the difference to the pagans? So a few previous Greek and Roman Festival dates were used to get those peoples to accept Christianity as it grew outside of Israel and into the greater Roman Empire. You say that like Christianity is just a "Greatest Hits Album” derived from these pagan religions, and doesn’t offer anything unique, different and new. Last I checked those pagan holidays worshipped the seasons or farming cycles (harvests or planting season), were multi-theistic (they had a unique God for each season or cycle), varied by region, and people often worshipped their idols.
