They lure men with s*x and seduce them, and then they change their age to pretend to be underage, as if a real underage individual would ever be doing this. 🤦🏻♀️🙄 See that’s the real problem. Preaching to the choir here, anytime prosecutor or cop tries to railroad a defendant with illegal acts they should face not the same crime since they didn't commit that crime but another and you know convict for crime. But make that new "Anti-Setup Law" have an open ended sentence that being "sentence equivalent to crime you tried to frame person for"
It is illegal. It's called perjury. But prosecutors won't prosecute cops. Courts won't sanction cops. The system is broken at the core. Hard to find a more lawless group than law enfarcement.

And they do it to intentionally mislead the public, the courts, and jurors - to make sure they can get the convictions they desperately want. What’s even more disturbing is that those who conduct these sting operations are simply targeting men online who are in places that adults use to meet other like-minded, consenting adults for a casual hookup. Some of these adults enjoy engaging other like-minded, consenting adults, that they find in these places, in fantasy sexual conversations. This is specifically who is targeted in these online sting operations - but specifically only the men from this marginalized sexual community. So, it’s clearly discrimination based on gender and sexuality. It’s almost like a hate crime against men from a marginalized group. They don’t target the women from that community, only the men. And then the decoys force their own PDF file thoughts and obsessions on those men, strongly encouraging the men to play along with their fantasy about this. They pretty much communicate to the men that they are excited about this and want the men to play along with them. And clearly the decoys do get excited when the men play along with them. Entrapment operations have ALWAYS been about egos, fame, and money, not about crime prevention. In fact, these agents are creating crime, not preventing it. The involvement of a private vigilante group should always lead to an instant dismissal of the charges.

This is Tennessee. The rules only apply to the "other people". This happens all the time. Thanks to a free press and a good reporter to question authority. Checks and balances are necessary. Pedos should be prosecuted but cops should know the law and how to use it properly. In this case the disregard for the law allows the perp a legal avenue of escape from responsibility. Instead of supplemental training for LEO being about nonsense about training about the law. For example, filming in public is legal. Recording LEOs in public is legal. Grabbing people and demanding ID without any other reason than ID is illegal. It is bizarre that these cops don't know that their willful ignorance only helps the bad guys. But in the cops mind everything is legal if they say so.

There needs to be an investigation of vigilante groups who do this. And there needs to be forensic analysis of all devices used in these sting operations (on both sides), to get the whole truth. There are so many lies and cover ups involved in these cases.

As an victim of child sexual abuse, it saddens me that this is how the police deal with this problem. When a real victim comes forward to the police nothing is done. So they are cool with setting up people but not dealing with the real pedo that have victims

"If you have to deceive and add other layers of deception to the operation..." -- this actually describes these "non-profits" that aren't even allowed by law to TYPE on behalf of the Police and kind of makes their role ineffectual. Maybe get rid of these non-profits and properly fund/staff the Police to do the job solely themselves.
Either the law needs to change or the department needs to hire individuals just for this purpose because we cannot be allowing child predators to go free on a technicality. The police department in question needs to be Federally Investigated.
And how many other groups are like this one? An investigation is only successful if charges can be brought and convictions achieved. Are kids being victimized, yes. But operations like this that achieve only negative outcomes only move the goal posts further away. It takes the public being aware, engaged and willing to give tips to police to help. If they come to believe that these people are just crying wolf to enhance their own ego they may decide to not care anymore. And that just makes the police and prosecutors jobs that much harder.
The mayor and chief of police allowed this to happen. Even though they knew that assist police chief was a conspiracy theorist, they have done nothing to stop his reign. Mind you, that the assistant police chief has been on 7 other police departments before he got to Millersville.

It's unbelievable what they do in these stings. While this one seems like it started on an app where children are, and started as a child, many stings start on adult sex sites, with adult age, adult photos, highly sexual language, and then "bait & switch." All men have to do to be arrested is "show up to confirm," and they're toast.
In many cases, they don't have to show up. There have even been instances the cops/vigilantes never even bothered to change the ages on the dating profiles until after the completion of the entrapment operation.

If they aren’t conducting these operations in a lawful way… a way that will stand up in court… they’re helping the predators. Those caught will not be more careful, or change their M.O. entirely, to avoid detection.
Sounds like the department needs to be arrested for perjury to failures against state law to federal law to constitutional rights.....to department policies and procedures to professional standards to code of conduct.....and the DA should be required to fight vigorously for maximum sentences and for those sentences to be served consecutively in the state penitentiary without protective custody and no early release or parole.....the citizens group should be charged for their compliance in the illegal operation and be banned from doing anything similar in the future. This should be an out cry for investigation into all such operations and hold to the highest level of law, justice, honor, service, truth.....
