Did my Drone Survive its Accident? Have Holywood Gates been Repaired?

My regular viewers will know that my drone suffered a potentially damaging mishap at Carlisle on Monday last so that I couldn't risk flying it that day. A test flight today - see the results for yourself.
Holywood level crossing has frequently featured on this channel and has been allows to fall into an appalling state of neglect. Repairs were scheduled for this month. Have they been carried out?

Yes, I'm very fortunate to live in such a peaceful, scenic and unspoilt part of the world. A shortage of trains, I'm afraid - but we can't have everything in this life! Best wishes.

Speaking as one who was a child in the 1940s and 50s - no television and very rare visits to the cinema (but steam trains everywhere) - I'm delighted to know that these videos of mine can appeal to younger folk as well as the old greybeards like myself. So no repairs to the drone, or the gates then. Love your videos, and also agree that you do evoke Fyfe Robertson, some of whose prodigious output I had the pleasure of using during the period of my life when I too was a BBC employee. Alas no longer, but your commentaries always bring back many fond memories.

I'm fascinated by these comparisons between the late, great Fyfe Robertson and myself. Although I've lived in Scotland for more than half my life I don't believe that I've picked up the accent. Could I rival him in output or personality? Doubt it somehow!! Best wishes.

Good the drone is not damaged. Those gates are in such a state I don't blame the signalman for keeping them closed, the less they are moved the better.

Less than a fortnight of April left - will the work be done? If not - how long do you think before the gates collapse completely?

@@schoolshorts As often with Network Rail delays caused by the mountain of paperwork have no doubt delayed getting the gates repaired, another storm and gale could well finish them off. I wonder if the wicket gates work they look in better condition

I'm going to betray my age when I say your voice and cadence remind me of the late, great Fyfe Robertson. Do agree with others about the music, sadly, something a bit more relaxed than the Mexican Hat Dance (and ducked back a bit against the commentary) would have served you a bit better, methinks.

My first drone (DJI Mini 2) survived two nasties - on the second occasion I really believed it was gone for good - couldn't believe my luck when I discovered that it had, despite smashing into trees, recovered and flown back home whilst I hunted through the undergrowth for its wreckage. Amazingly robust.

Terrible music especially when it drowns out your fascinating commentary. Please don't do it again. Ee have liked all your other vids, but this ruins it...even though it is your iwn composition. Could you fo a version without it please?

@@Gerri006 I will be 80 next year and my hearing isn't what it used be, but I can hear the commentary clearly. I wouldn't have uploaded it otherwise.

Thank you for the replies. It's just that background music is 100% unnecessary. In TV shows it happens a lot. and I suspect that we amateurs like to make things seem more professional. On RU-vid no music is much more effective.
