I feel like Jade is just 1D character. As the trailer show at least.. Compared to Firefly trailer where we got a story and her struggle.. this is just 1st scene: she is dominatrix. 2nd scene: she is dominatrix. 3rd scene: she is dominatrix. 4th scene: she is dominatrix. So on and so forth until the last second. It just additional flashy animation to cover it.
The problem with hsr right now is: -farming relics is annoying when you have to click go again button with only 1 single run. This is annoying, just allow us to do like 5 runs in a row or something. -I hate the bosses mechanics, specially aventurine boss, bad design and made me quit. - the pay to win aspect is getting increase day by day. Getting all rewards from those endgame modes, Moc etc is impossible unless you have all must have meta units wich are alot.
1) if you don't wanna do direct relic farming, dust the unleveled ones and use the strongbox/crafter. The click to go again thing is... kinda just lazy dude. It's one button and takes 3 seconds with the same lineup, it even keeps FA going. 2) I think it's safe to say at this point that if you still lose to aventurine, that might just be a skill issue dude. Unless your account is made up of just single target dps units, the fight is easy. 3) You only "need" a few units. The rest are generally substitutable. Dot team needs kafka/RM, FUA is kinda cooked without topaz/robin, hypercarry is just "dps+3 supports", and break needs RM/HMC, so the only really super necessary units are the harmony units and scattered occasional dps. You don't need perfect comps, you just gotta not suck.
I mean the game pretty much ended when they released Acheron and Firefly. Now, every character that’s released is disappointing and doesn’t matter because they don’t destroy everything
It really didn't. Arctype teams are what the games working towards. Arctype as in Dot, Follow Up, Break/Super Break, and Hyper Carry. Acheron and Fire Fly being op don't matter as much because certain battles will have effects that scale to certain arctypes like dot. Point is running that specific arctype on those stages will always be better to get the best effect.

I still play HSR and it's still my favourite gatcha. However, there are no interesting banners for me at the moment since I don't care for Firefly, Jade, and the next upcoming character. But I don't mind. This way I can save everything for the Foxboy.
Same happening to me. Not interested in current or future characters. I really hope they deviate from the standard copy paste dress design. They had much more character variety in the beginning (Clara, Seele, SW, Kafka had peculiar outfits). Now every character feels the same, same boring dress pattern with some color differences, a different strap here and there. Apart from Firefly, due to her armor suit, almost every female character feels the same. Oh well..
@@Nu_r0ga oh, yes, I agree. Though, I also don't like all those mommy type women, especially since those feel like cheep copies to me. Moreover, Firefly was ruined for me because of all the forced flirting scenes... And her non stop screaming during the fight is also very tiring (for me). Bad enough that Robin songs gets old very fast... I know many make fun of the Foxboy and call him bland or npc. But I enjoy his simple design. It's a nice break from all those mommy designs. And I like the video of a alchemist and cook. Sounds like one of my larp characters. ☺️
Idk. I'm not interested in Jade but she's a really good pair with my Aventurine. But even so, I can't really view her more than just a fanservice. But I know she will surely do better than my existing followup units. 🙃
Easily still enjoying Honkai star rail, just got done having two full teams of chars that for the next 6months-1 yr I'll be solely focusing on finishing them, getting signatures for them and possibly copies.
HSR is good, just kinda.... old. I feel like there is not much that is new in game to keep interest. The story I still try to follow, but I watch lore vids for that.
my only problem with this game is that I still don't have good relics for my Acheron . I already got my SB team to 230%+ BE each (with 145+ spd each except RM) but Acheron is so hard to build . I think I'll get the upcoming character for my Acheron team . Sorry Jade-sama .
HSR is my steady bestie. We maintain a pretty consistent relationship, but they respect that I have other things going on and don’t require a ton of my time. 😂
I stop playing with the adventurin story the dude could not stop talking, and then I saw clips of Sunday and he was 10 times worse. Before anybody starts saying the story is good etc no it isn't, having text just for the sake of it doesn't make it good, I ended up playing bg3 5 times and even went back to bg and bg2 that is good storytelling.
Yeah the Penacony story itself is fine (not good but not bad either just in the middle you could even say it's "mid" lol) but goddamn the storytelling is atrocious lmfao, I'm really convinced now that writers in this games gets paid by the word count cause they're bloating that shit up like there's no tomorrow lol.
To me it feels like the strategy and soul is being ripped out of HSR . Rn it’s kinda just have latest meta units and win . It’s true for all gachas but in a game where your only actions are basic or skill and sometimes ult …. It feels worse …. Like I remember playing Clara Hyper in 1.0-1.2 with March and you had to squeeze out value out of each turn to ensure Tingyun didn’t die and Clara was doing max damage and … it’s just gone now .
fr, there's no strategy at all anymore, and the farming is also pointless if you dont have the penacony units bcs they just blow everything up and the game is being balanced around them, so older units cannot catch up. Add this up to the fact that newer units require very little relic and trace investment to perform. I feel like they just broke the 2 core aspects of the game and it really took a toll on my motivation to keep playing.
I’m not going to lie … I’m getting to that point where I don’t want to do Starrail dailies anymore … I love Jade as a character but I can’t afford her after FF and so idk I’m just gonna chill with HSR until the next big update . Screw Gacha dailies .
Idk, it's a fine game but I personally had to come to terms with the fact all it did was pull me off from genshin, and I really do just hate turn based rpgs lol. But hey, the Mihoyo curse is broken at least.
After Wuwa I just dont really care about star rail anymore, i do my dallies i log out, I spent every single jade on fireflys banner and i dgaf about jade.
I'm ok with fanservice but there's a thing called too much and they really went all out with her to a point where it's really cringe.Her design is mid for me and I'm still enjoying my time with ff and acheron.
to me, HSR is dead because Penacony characters just broke the essence of the game. Every single character released since Ruan Mei, except Dr. Ratio and Boothill just makes the game giga easy and require little to no investment to perform. The "strategy RPG" part of the game was absolutely gone the moment they broke the elemental weakness system. The "turn-base" aspect is obsolete bcs Acheron can do a fuck ton of dmg outside of her turns and Firefly just gets infinite turns for free. The grinding also became useless because the new characters require almost none of it to perform at a good enough level, and the older ones can not catch up no matter the amount of grinding bcs the game is balanced around the newer, stronger units. When you take away the strategy and the grinding of a turn-based RPG, there is not much left to show
