Elite managers are rare. It's very hard to find one, Poch not being one isn't really an indictment on Poch.

We lost 1 game in the last 16, that’s almost half a season. The results for “30 games or so” were not poor. They were poor at the start with an avg 21yo squad who had never played together before, which given those facts, is very understandable.

Dude, i'm not going to defend Poch, but plz tell me, what part he had in injuries of Fofana, Nkunku or James? First one was born injured (and club knew, that's why he was sent to US to check him by "better" medical staff over there). Nkunku took a hit in a knee during preseason game, James wasn't healthy in last 2 yrs. Enzo played with hernia for a long time, Chilwells injury history starts to look like a book, and it began in 2021. Maybe Poch's training methods added some factor to number of minor injuries in general, but it's board's fault that they bought injury prone players (Fofana), tolerated injury prone players that already were in club (Chilwell, James) or pure bad luck (Nkunku). Board had a vision of this squad, the core that they choose can't stay fit, that's on them. They should either make better research or bring better medical staff, ideally both. Another player was Lavia, no one knows what's going on with, but it's not normal that dude without broken leg or torn acl can't fully recover in 8 months

The owners sold our UCL winning squad and replaced them with kids . Sacked a UCL winning manager and replaced him with Graham Potter from a midtable club. Overspent and had to sell Cobham and the hotels to themselves. Ripping our academy apart for profit. What standards do you think the owners are maintaining? Ridiculous.

From 12th to 6th. Semi final and final of the 2 domestic cups we were involved in. All with endless injuries and a bunch of 20 year olds with no experience.

Problem is more on the lack of plans than the actual Poch sacking. It is absolutely clear this wasn't planned. Sacking him or keeping him were not planned. See the way Liverpool is replacing Klopp? We are doing it in the exact opposite way. No vision is what's frustrating. Hell I would respect the board if they had made up their mind say at the Arsenal game and waited till the end of the season. Clearly that's not what we have here.

What are talking about? He had horrendous injuries with key players and a squad with lack of experience. Most coaches would have struggled to deal what he had to go through. 6th place is commendable finish in the circumstances.

It's less about the name on the back and the cost of replacing/upgrading some of those players. We also should be disappointed in the fact we're still lacking many of the lucrative front of shirt, sleeve, and other sponsorship deals that would reduce the size of any impending financial problem.

@@LondonBluePod I would agree if I think we haven't upgraded with the players we've bought. I think Palmer is an upgrade on Mount, Caicedo though expensive I think he's an upgrade on Kova or Gallagher and Enzo is an upgrade on Jorginho. I contrast Ange and Poch from day one you saw a clear plan and path for players with one manager ie Maatsen wasn't good enough at CFC but he's playing UCL final that's the manager decision. There are plethora of these baffling decisions, match Day 32 second half is the first time we saw solidity and fluency in and out of possession. Inverting of Cucurella not because Enzo was out the team we started looking like a team.

I say that to say 'the owners literally have a vested interest in CFC being a success', have they done a great job no but it's not apocalyptic like how you've made it seem. Chelsea have been failing at Wembley way before the new ownership and Tuchel was fired because his personal life affected his professional life, they already bought him the players he wanted.
