Today, we're using Stripe for the first time in MultiVersus after some HEAVY nerfs, and testing to see if he's still a good pick in the current meta! Spoiler alert.... I was wrong with my initial impression, and I'm pretty happy about that. Enjoy!

No, it just means that you should stop spamming side air so you don't get easily punished. The game wants you to waste your bullets, less gun combos. Stop saying Stripe got nerfed to the ground.

The leap perk gives speed buff. Which boosts chainsaw and skateboard plus general movement. (You can leap off your own saw blades) so that nerf hurt cause that shit was so fun! The up special was supposed to latch on but doesn't. And gun got nerfed too hard.(Def needed a nerf though) BTW. Your videos are great my dude. Keep it up!

this game's balance normally just depends on how deep the devs look into characters for example: shaggy being overtuned is smart on paper for new players but they probablly didnt look deep enough to see that most shaggy players will be experienced and play shaggy for just the fact that hes overtuned

The gun move just encourages Stripe mains to waste all of their bullets at once, cuts down on gun combos other than that he was hardly affected.

Yah. I feel like stripe wasn’t even nerfed that hard. He’s still high A tier imo. His strings are so strong. And I swear to god he has the highest damage on his abilities. Stripe always tops damage charts. For some reason each time he touches someone, it does so much damage

Still S tier in my opinion the nerf to him is kinda like the Tom and Jerry nerf just made him more skillful but certainly still very good.

I feel what would have made him more skillful and a harder character to master would be to make his bullets count towards the 2 special moves you can use in the air. This would make you have to return to the ground more often, being careful to not spam your bullets while still juggling and regaining your bullets at a reasonable rate.

So about the loading in problem when a match starts it looks like it still happens to a lesser degree. I have a wired connection and was still have that issue, the game was pretty unplayable like a month ago before they fixed it.

the black screen thing when loading into a match isnt exclusive to console , i play on a shitty laptop and it happens nearly every game. it used to also take at least 3 minutes for a round to even load in after confirming perks but that went away 2 patches ago

id heard that cooldown perks dont work on gun. Theres no reason it shouldnt work, it just doesn't so id imagine coffeezilla is useless. I could be wrong though i've never tested and am just saying what i saw in the discord once

Speaking of abilities that never worked. In Rick down air description it says it’s supposed to ignite enemies, and it’s never once done that lol they’ll probably remove that verbiage soon if not already. Also they swapped his free and paid taunt. When he first came out he’d dance with the microphone. Now I have to pay for that emote lol weird

no it does ignite, if you look closely they take damage after the hit. it just has a different look to it than normal ignition

He did get nerfed hard in my opinion but I still don’t play differently than before.. not just using my gun every single time I hit them for example cause if I’m not going to kill or make it to them fast enough to follow up.. not worth spending.. but he is dead more so in the hand of a spammer I think..

Rick got nerfed way too hard as well he went from the best to almost unplayable against certain matchups. It sucks. Stripe needed nerfs but not to screw his whole move set. Just like Rick.
