I’m Alex Etches, a golf professional and golf RU-vidr. If you don’t know me, I started playing golf at 10 years old, turned professional at 22 in the UK, and have been creating entertaining and informative golf content on different platforms for the last 10 years. I love these irons. Got fitted into them as they produced the best numbers for me paired with the project X iO 6.0. The feedback from these irons is unparalleled which is what I wanted.

Shank 😅. Played the previous gen with KBS $ shafts. They were so good for consistency and dispersion. I made sure they went to someone who appreciates the JPX Tour iron. He still uses now. The availability of shafts at no extra cost is so good. Delivery times good as well. Would love to give the new shiney tours ago. (Noooo don’t do it!) but will stay with my T100s for now.

I am a higher handicapper and I tried these irons. I was definitely using most of the face and the distance drop off was much less than some of the GI irons out there. Definitely very nice iron!

I bought the JPX 921 Hot Metal irons last year and love them. Definitely have a nice feel off the club face and are very straight.

Mate I’ve been playing the 919 Tours and love them. Went to Mizuno in Melbourne and they were brilliant. Wanted to try out the new stuff and they landed up fitting me into the 923 Tours. Much more MP feeling and they went half a club further too. All the same goodness around shaping. So, I’ll be upgrading… sidegrading? Dunno, same but different. They’re wonderful irons.

Need a direct comparison to the 919T please!!! They look close enough that they will blend really well with the old set, the only thing for me is that the 7-PW on the old 919s were a tiny bit large. The MPs are a tiny small and the tours are a tiny bit large. If they actually shrunk these slightly, tiny bit less offset and copper than it a home run ✊🏿 just gotta get rid of that white running bird paint. Plain metal like the 919s 🎁

A friend bought these man do they look good. I’m a titleist guy at heart (I haven’t quite been able to switch off AP2/t100s for a long while) But I’m leaning towards a possibly switch to Taylor made driver (stealth plus2) and these mizuno irons (idk if it will be a combo set of 221/223 or just 223s If anyone knows (isn’t the 223 the same as the t100s?)

@@alexetchesgolf actually im perfectly happy with mine, and if anyone is in the market for 923s ill tell them to get them, nothing feels like a mizuno! I get compliments on how nice my irons look and how far they fly! I easily can send it 150 yd with a pitching wedge! Keep up the great work Al, you're one of my favorite youtubers in golf. I love watching you crush the drivers!

@@ATerminalJunkie I’ve got 223 on order but have been questioning if I shoulda got these Tour. I had the 921 Tour and really liked em. But the 223 won out, so I hope I don’t have buyers remorse. I’d appreciate your thoughts

@@randeberhard you're going to love them, the 923 is definitely going to be more forgiving and has stronger lofts to give that extra distance but your new irons will be lighter and and will feel like slicing through butter as long as you stay hitting the sweet spot. The best advice I can give you is have consistent swing path and make sure you have correct ball placement in your stance. You should enjoy those very much!

Honestly I like your show ,! But that is what is ,and who am I ,? And no disrespect,I can’t hit the ball that far or consistently as you do ! What is the best club that you have hit or irons for 2023 ? Im a golf junkie no thanks to you and your mates ! Im a 15 hc and have been for nearly 40 years,love my golf but have not got time to practice,! Could I get better ? Yes got down to nine ! When I did practice 30 years ago ! I spent thousands of dollars at golf box and they screwed me over a tool for the ping g430 ,never again will I spend money from them ,or to them ! and have even deleted them from my page ,you work for them ,just bad ! I bought it ,the g430 on your show thanks George
