Egyptian authorities will always try to blame anybody but their pilots and/or airlines. When researching a crash, I generally discount much of what Egyptian authorities might add.

Egypt has a habit of never blaming their pilots for pilot-caused crashes

Fun fact: this airplane used to belong to Color Air, a subsidiary of color line, a popular ferry company in Norway. The airline entered a pricewar with Braathens and SAS, which almost bankrupt the two during the late 90s. They were also accused of having faulty or mismanaged parts in their fleet, so i guess that this stuck when the aircraft came in possesion of Flash Airlines.

Tough to keep your airline operating when you lose half your planes in one crash.

I used to watch breakdowns into dam failures but airplanes are quickly becoming my most watched type of disaster thanks to your channel.

I remember this particular crash. I had been wondering if you would be covering it. Thank you for yet another great video highlighting these tragic airline events.

Great video again ! Found you just a week ago and already binged half of all videos. Would love if you could do the Concorde Flight 4590 crash since United announced they signed a deal to buy Supersonic Planes.

The reason is the pilot suffer from a spiral disorientation, but the Egypt investigator still believe the crash was caused due to mechanical failure Spiral disorientation: The inability of a pilot to correctly interpret aircraft attitude, altitude or airspeed in relation to the Earth or other points of reference. This happen when pilot fly in a big cloud or in the dark

For some reason I always mistook this accident for EgyptAir Flight 990, which doesn't help when both accidents are disputed.

i never watched the full episode of it. thanks for uploading. and RIP the pasengers. i tink the pilot tought that the plane was banking. but the pilot turned and staled the plane into the red sea. i realy want to know if the pilot had vertigo.

Not a pilot,never flown as I have a debilitating fear for some odd reason but I love this channel!

When I heard the crew list included the much younger.... I thought then how often there is a significant or just note worthy difference not only in age but also experience between the captain and the first officer.

Vertigo is the sensation of spinning. When you suffer a vertigo attack all you can do is lie down and wait for it to pass.

In the instrument graphics eg: at 9:17 , there are no flight director bars displayed. If I was hand flying manually, on a moonless night, over a black ocean, I would be darn sure that the flight director was engaged for appropriate guidance.

This is one reason I don't fly on airlines at night. I like the flight crew to be able to see!

I'm not a pilot nor an aeronautical engineer, nor an aerobiologist (if such a term exists), but re spatial disorientation, if you're flying in total blackness, say a moonless night over the ocean aren't your eyes on the instrumental panel anyway? Can you get this condition just after takeoff and making a hard bank? Damn! Is there testing for pilots who may have vertigo? I just can't imagine a pilot being unsure which way is up and down after takeoff! If he hit the wrong controls and/or was not monitoring his controls and lacked the competence to recover is one thing, but vertigo after takeoff? He is in a plane banned from operating in certain countries. Remember the above says this plane's firm was once busted for not having oxygen for the captain. Depending on all the places this tour service flew I can easily understand spatial disorientation if the pilot is trying to fly 30,000 feet and can't breathe! No oxygen for the pilot! Controls that didn't work? I can easily understand the Egyptians (re vertigo) wanting to protect the pride of their pilots, BUT the problem is they would/should have known the rep of this company. Wasn't their own country responsible for governing the maintenance of these planes? If you're not going to maintain the plane at even a minimum level don't blame the manufacturer! Even a well manufactured plane and an excellent crew can't overcome lack of maintenance. Too bad the problem wasn't found. Talk about spatial disorientation, then there is blackout. I've seen on RU-vid fighter jet pilots pulling a lot of Gs and blacking out. Just thinking about it freaks me out! You're in a cockpit and you suddenly wake up in these strange surroundings, falling out of the sky! WTF! The twilight zone! You talk about mental recovery speed. Damn! These guys altitudes are so high I guess they have time to recognize, reset, and recover. I do recall the above pilot wanting to go straight to auto-pilot. I don't blame him. V-1, Rotate, Auto-Pilot for the vertigo challenged. Again, I don't think this pilot had vertigo, and I don't think the plane manufacturers were at fault, it was probably a non working critical part that probably should have been replaced during regular maintenance schedules that was not observed.

I remember a story told in the nat geo about one family that was supposed to be on the flight yet due to the youngest child being a baby, the dad & mom didnt want the hazzle of the way early departure. When the hotel personel checked the hotel which had the most guest flying flash staying, when they knocked & he opened the one staff called the boss & broke down in tears.

Every aircraft accident involving Egypt, always is blamed on mechanical failures. Surprisingly the Egypt registered aircrafts only are this mechanically bad. Huh.

Blatant pilot error combined with vertigo is most likely the course for this accident.

My money's on the Egyptian explanation. It's far simpler than the French and satisfies Occam's Razor. With the knowledge that this airline was cutting corners and the plane itself had a history of maintenance faults...it's certainly not impossible for the plane's controls to fail and perhaps the flight instruments also

5:10 "Sharm el SHEIK" "شرم الشيك" 🤣🤣🤣 Well, it's actually Sharm el Sheikh (شرم الشيخ). As an Arabic speaking individual myself, I find it funny about how the city is portrayed as "Sharm el Sheik" on the map.

This is perhaps the most ambiguous plane crash video i have seen. One where no clear reasons have been provided. Ofcourse i don't blame the channel, but the investigation itself. Also i couldn't make any sense of the captain's comment "look what it did there". Whts that supposed to mean.
