@@ericgarcia2943 well i mean I bet you can't name one of the GOATs who hasnt been in a tag team before? Its not like its a forever thing just one point in his career....
"They're not impervious to curses like Hook is" is probably the most absurd thing ever said on a wrestling show in the history of the business... and I loved it! 😂
Hook needs to be more established first. Pairing serious with comedy works however with it being so soon it may just turn into Hook becoming a comedy act.
@@scarletpsychowolf3578 The dynamic really feels like that. Not saying that either of the two is close to their "counterparts" at this point, but the somewhat silly comedic relief character trying to win over the wrestler who seems "too cool" for them... could benefit Hook as well, as the stone faced shtick is somewhat limiting and might get tired
Man, seeing Hook and Tony Nese go at it had me all sorts of excited. Nese sadly hasn’t done anything for me before this but having him enter a feud with Hook and Danhausen seems like the best move. On top of this we have a possibly Very Nice, Very BRUTAL faction in the works!
@@1kizhun it was a great match but Nese just didn’t click with me for some reason. Like I said in an earlier comment he’s one of the more gifted wrestlers I’ve seen in a long time, hell I’ll even add I’d love to see him wrestle Bryan Danielson a few times, but for whatever reason until he stepped in the ring with Danhausen and Hook he just didn’t have much of a purpose!
@@360entertainment2 purpose that a good word or progression, no feuds no real rivals made not even a recognise top-10 list of wrestlers to fix his sights on to climb up the rankings to for a tv title shot At least he's being a bit of a problem for hook Nese should be that kind of wrestler thats a big problem to deal with because of his in ring abilities.
@@vloggdavid Usually wrestlers would take their wedding ring off, out of commitment to their character but like Ravishing Rick Rude he choose to keep it on.
@@vloggdavid Just to build on the other person (because what he said is correct, but it’s not the whole story), it’s also a hazard to wear rings during matches. Lots of things for them to get caught on, and if that happens, the finger can get broken or suffer a degloving injury (very NSFW, in case you want to look that up). That’s why lots of workplaces either forbid rings or only permit thin silicone rings that will snap easily if they get caught on something. That’s also why some wrestlers (most notably Shawn Michaels) has a tattoo on his ring finger that represents his wedding band.
They should have Hook think about challenging for the FTW belt. While Hook begins to cut a promo in the ring have Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs run in and jump him. Taz gets off commentary for the save but gets beat up. Samoa Joe comes out for the save. Sets up Hook and Ricky as well as Powerhouse and Joe.
He's not there yet. His character is nothing still. This team with danhausen offers a lot to allow him to become a bit more fleshed out. No rush. I think in a year is when he'll feud with Starks, and then after a long team Taz disbanding, that's when you could try him in a serious faction or team. But he needs a year of good regular tv presence and some good angles. This is such a good one for his first angle.
You do. Just make sure none of the credit goes to that Mike Podcast. Danhausen will catch them both in the same room one day and expose Mike for the charlatan he is.
Huge heat on him and Nese, who very much needed it. I’ve been saying they need to put Sterling with Guevara and Tay. They need someone to promo for them while they look insufferable together. It. Works.
I really enjoyed this segment. Hook is really great at Wrestling. Hookhausen is the team we never knew we wanted.. it can become an exciting team like the team hell no
You do know that the wrestlers throw themselves right? as in it's a team effort he's not throwing no body over his head at all. in reality the other person is jumping with hook so he can land correctly on the mat and not be injured and make it look legit
"Doing this right now!" Straight to the point! I love it! I still would love to see Hook and Danhausen throw down, before they ever team up. They'd be an odd duo, but an interesting one. Also, a match between Hook and Tony Nese was a match I never thought I wanted to see, until that attack. I said what I said!
Danhausen needs his own "Very Evil" misfit faction. First sign Dexter Lumis, then add Serpentico, Abadon, and Pretty Peter Avalon. Finally have him chase Hook around trying to recruit him.
I'm damned sure here for this. These guys are so freaking over, and there's TONS more storytelling options now that HOOK has ended his silence. Excited to see where this goes!
Hmm... you may be onto where their tandom is going. Danhausen could "shock" hook and they become an intense tag team in ring. But the dynamic remain the same outside of it. Now you got me thinking.
@@alexandershabazzi8890 - And in typical Danhausen fashion, he will probably continue to be mousy until someone swears ("NO SWEARING!!!"), at which point he'll clear the ring.
Waiting for Hook to lose it and start laughing at Danhausen. He’s going to say something off the wall and Hook will crack a smile and the roof will come off the building.🤣
I love Dan hausan the more I see him the more I like him I wanna see more of him on aew this guy is hailarious he make laugh every week who wants to see hook and Dan hausan become the new aew world tag team champions
Yeah, the only difference is that Mick Foley and The Rock were good wrestlers and is actually entertaining. These two can't even compare. An Evil Clown that curses people paired up with a Highschool jock that can't wrestle without jobbers selling for him.
I always think of the Jericho & Danhausen interview that happened like a year ago and Jericho played it completely straight, it was great. He just gets the Danhausen character.
This was the first in-ring promo either of these two have had in AEW (or ever, in Hook's case) and the crowd is already 100% behind them! Well-done Hook, well-done Danhausen, well-done entire-AEW-crew!
Im really looking forward to when Danhausen starts fighting on here. Such a underrated talent in wrestling. Will likely be a while of just "curses" i imagine though. But any Danhausen is good Danhausen :D
Whoever was all involved in Hook's character development nailed it. From his Sagat/anime look to his "rolled out of bed and the shower only had cold water" attitude, I cant recall a wrestler getting over so fast without even showing us half of their in-ring skillset. Kudos AEW for acknowledging a star when you have one on the roster.
In my head I choose to believe that Hook actually really likes Danhausen and thinks he's funny, but is too tough to admit it😂 I REALLY REALLY hope they get together in a tag team, it'll do wonders for both of their characters and shoot them into the main events as a psuedo-fluke powerhouse team. Hook-hausen V the young bucks????
That second to last confrontation in ring with Danhausen I swear it looked like Hook was trying not to laugh. Lol. He had to shove past him to prevent himself from smiling it seems. Lol
Im more invested in a fuego del sol feud than anything cm is in. The man talks entirely too much. He scrapes by to win a match. Page has proven himself to be the most lackluster aew champ to date. Jericho, Mox and Kenny's runs were by far more interesting. They looked and felt like champs. Hook is better off on his own than get dumbed down by this team idea.
A lot of elitists arent gonna like this pairing but I'm all for it! Should be fun times ahead. Danhausen actually protects Hook in a way since he wouldnt have to be in ring all the time. Hes still new after all.
I want 3 months of skits with Danhausen trying to convince Hook to be his Tag partner. Please build this up. The crowd will go mental when they become a team:
I'm not overly into comedy wrestling.. but this should be pretty entertaining. When the AEW crowd see Danhausen can actually work its gonna be a big pop.
This is smart on AEW’s part. They know both hook and Danhausen can’t afford a loss at this point in their careers so have them fighting one on one doesn’t make sense. But putting them in a tag team together works to their advantage.
It make sense to have hook w Hausen, hook need a mouthpiece until he's more comfortable w the mic and matching with your dad is just overly done in the wrestling
Never seen Danhausen before but gotta say... I'm smiling both at him and with him! AEW (and wrestling in general) needs more weird Rocky-Horror shit like him. More of this please!
Hands down the best part of Danhausen in AEW is the fact that he's had 0 matches so far, and the AEWhausen fans don't actually know how well he can work.
