Today, we are going a little back in time, to revisit our top 10 anticipated games of 2023.
Have we played the games? Did we like the games? Are the games even published? We'll find that out and more, when we go on a little trip to the past with this one.

Thinker Themer is great and so is Before You Play - very cool that you kind of have a community of board gamers - sounds like living the dream! PS - this episode was a little hilarious - thanks for that. PPS - I most looking forward to Floe and Set a Watch - which already came out.

Maybe one of those games is coming by European Swallow, instead of the more robust African Swallow. Always enjoy your videos. Interesting look back to what you were excited about at the time and how it played out - at least for those that DID arrive.

Cool video but will be better when you've played them all! My most anticipated games of the last year or so: Barcelona - so-so Darwin's Journey - so-so Nucleum - so-so Federation - amazing Ezra & Nehemia - not yet received Zhanguo - bad Nova Roma - so-so GWT NZ - excellent So I've mostly been disappointed! But I feel I'm getting harder to please these days, haha. But there have been some surprises from games I didn't expect that were fantastic: Shipwrights Redux Ra

I agree! Maybe we’ll have to do another one in a year 😂 Sad to see you didn’t like some games I love, but as long as you have great games you do love, I can accept it 😂 We just played Ezra and Nehemiah for the first time, and enjoyed it! Will play more, and then get out a review!

My biggest surprise in this one was... how Sunniva is apparently able to curl only her pinkie finger when counting to four. I'm pretty sure that's illegal somehow.

The best game to me on that list is Darwin's Journey, my second overall favorite from last year. I have Septima but haven't played yet and I want El Burro mostly because of your excitement of it. Horseless Carriage is my biggest disappointment. I also played Pampero once and even though it wasn't bad, I'll sell my pledge without opening it when it arrives.

Resorting to “not, not” jokes now? Was that the only ad-lobbed portion of the post? I love Splotter, owning five of their wonderful games, but it’s usually just me & my wife, so Horseless Carraige is out (as was Bus before that). Looking forward to more “scripted content”.
