There should be a flate metal plate behind the lock washer or the end nut that is bent over the nut to keep it from backing off.

That disc blade with the rounded hole will cut a grove in the shaft and ruin it. The blade and shaft should turn together. Glad you were able to figure it out.

You are a hard working young man. Please move that disk gang that is where you are jacking. If you slip or the jack malfunction, you are falling directly on those blades plus if Willie B. cannot stop the tractor while backing up, he is going to ruin a tractor tire. Work safely and idle the tractor down low while hooking up equipment. Do not want you hurt .
