On beat 4, try using a ghost note on the snare. Keep everything else the same it’s tricky. But adds a whole new dynamic. One other groove that never gets mentioned is the ending to a song Man From the Past on the same album Back to Oakland. The horn vamp ride out is an insane two bar pattern. Maybe give that one a go.
