I never knew the boot shelves could be kept slotted in the bottom section, previous owner took them out and never used them, but me being a new owner im learning all these useful things from your videos!
Thanks Dan, was about to strip down access to the boot lock mechanism, as it was showing unlocked on the dash ,but was closed. But a fiddle with the boot button has sorted it out. Cheers

Hi! Great video, thanks a million for uploading! I recently bought my first car, a 2018 Nissan Qashqai 1.2 DiG-T N-Connecta 5dr manual in UK. The dealer serviced it before delivery. Now, I have some maintenance questions and will appreciate if you can please answer them: Question 1. Engine oil: Should I check the engline oil level monthly through dipstick and top it up to the max as soon as it's level drops even slightly? (I'm new to car care and want to learn more. Please excuse if my questions sound silly 😃) Question 2. Fluids: Should I buy coolant and brake fluid and engine oil to keep at home and check levels regularly? If so, what brands do you recommend for my car? Question 3. Servicing: I was told by few that I should buy above mentioned fluids and air and oil filters at Euro Car Parts and hand them over to mechanic at the time of car servicing to save on costs. Is this a good idea? Lastly should I specifically ask the mechanic to check and top up gearbox oil during servicing? (Please note that I don't know if my manual Qashqai needs gearbox/transmission oil). Thanks!

Good vid. When I am trying to put my car in the garage in reverse. The drive is on quite a steep slope away from the garage. The car will not sit still in reverse on the autobox, but just rolls forward like a manual gearbox. I have a quashai 2019 tekna. My old mondeo auto would sit on the slope of the drive when I was in auto reverse!

hi Dan brilliant review n tips, i jus got myself 64 plate qashqai 1.2 petrol orderd a parcel shekf from Ebay but i can't seem to fit it? should jus slide in shouldn't it.? The parcel shelf i ordered looks exactly like urs in video. Are there any fitments to attach to board i havent any plastic hinge type things to sit it on?? should there be some

Unless I've missed something on my Qashqai, I hate how you can't open the boot from inside the car, mine doesn't seem to have a "Boot" switch to open it, I have to manually get out and go around the back of the car to open it, a feature u find very odd to be missing since even some of the super old cars all have a way of opening the boot from the driver's seat
i always learn a little something from your vids.for some reason my door mirrors will not automatically close/open i have to use the button i have a 2014 techna J11.. maybe mine is faulty or it's too old?
Great info Dan , one tip for locking the wipers was good , but has any worked out how to take of the stock blades with the tab you have to twist and lift , took me a while to work out , now i just need to find what BOSCH blades fit.
Hi, I am seeing oil in the boot. Even after I cleaned and the car is just idle for a day. Saw the oil again the next day. Any suggestions what could be the issue
I own this diesel & it's a brilliant car, but the plastics & rubbers in the engine bay do cause rattles & creaking. I now get mine serviced at a small independent garage, where I can talk directly to the mechanic . Fed up trying to explain things to a receptionist, at the main dealership. Main dealers need to have a trained technician, at the customer service interface.

Great video, helped a lot. After driving the car I realised I couldn't hear the automatic door locks activating after a certain speed. Does the car have automatic door locks or do you have to manually lock the car before driving the car? If not do you know how to activate automatic locking? Thanks
We just got a 2019 2.0 litre and can't work out why there is some silly plastic cover over the top of the battery that is attached to the air intake. It seems like a total waste and every other Qashqai I have seen is like this one with the battery fully exposed.

Hi bud. I don't regas the car myself. As for which gas,there's a sticker on the slam panel under the bonnet, or on the underside of the bonnet itself .
Great video, I'm was contemplating buying a 65 plate tekna, but on reviews there's a concern on reliability (multiple faults, battery, infotainment console etc), in your honest opinion and experience, would you recommend going ahead with my search for a qashqai tekna 1.5
I'd say yes. There are so many qashqai on the road that there will always be ones with issues. Battery is a common fault but if you buy from a dealer with a decent warranty they'll sort it. Or check before purchase Infotainment wise I'm not sure what you've heard? Just look for one with good service history and you should be fine.

Dan, just been watching this video again and reminded me about my windscreen wash bottle. The top keeps coming loose. I fit it properly after filling it up, with those two clips/sticky out bits, and then when I check under the bonnet again, that damn thing has come undone. Is this common?
My 2017 1.2 Qashqai sometimes alarms when I open the boot. It usually happens if I don't open another door first. I can cancel it with the key. Does anyone else have this annoyance?
Hi Bill, there is actually a trick you can do to disable that. I've found out that the stop/start system is not good for the battery and that Nissan Qashqai actually don't have very good battery in them either. Hi bud. Yeah to be honest I've had a few issues. Main one so far was the blocked exhaust pressure pipe, I've shown the fix in another video. Also have a fault with the rear parking sensors that's just started. I know the fix for that, got the part on order and will upload that vid when it's done. Other then that, no real issues.
You should have a button by the rear view mirror to disable the interior sensors. Have you had your battery tested? Could be a sign of that needing replacement
@@TheQashqaiGuy I have the same model that you have, it has place for jack and other things but I only Recieved a compressor with it, the other compartments are empty. Should it be like that?
Hi Alan, has it gone from the contents if you keep pushing up or down to cycle through the different displays? If so, look for a option under settings called contents selection, it's probably been accidentally turned off.
