Did You Know There's Plexiglass Inside Your Computer?
I'm testing a new tips and tricks format. Let me know if you like it in the comments.
In the episode I show that there are a few useable materials inside old flat screen computer monitors. You can find a plexiglass like plastic and some other diffuser sheets. It's worth opening them up before you send them to the recyclers.

Just wanted to chime in and say that this is the most useful video I've come across in a while. I've taken apart two monitors I've found in the trash and gotten the plexiglass out of them. One was about 1/4" thick and the other was 3/8". That's saved me a ton of money! I'm making a lamp out of one of them right now. Thanks so much for this awesome tip (and hopefully series)

I like this format idea. You might consider adding a little brainstorming session in there too. For example, what you might use those old TV parts for. The phone stand is a good one!

I'm not sure if it has already been mentioned, but that first "diffuser" is actually a fresnel lens. Useful for diy light panels! It focuses the light a little bit, thus projecting the light farther.
