@@jasonmacneil2256 Very much depends on where you live. In the US they are 'supposedly 70k dollars, but they are more like 100k at the dealers. In The Netherlands for example, it's more like 300k. All depends on where you are located
@@_-Anthony-_ I work at a dealership with a ford not even 10 feet away next door to us. They have their GT500’s with track packs going for 110k+. The non track packs are going for 80-100k depending on location. I’d rather get the non track pack myself, I’m not that big of a track person so it’d be a waste of money to get all that and not use it for what the package was added for.
The GT500 W/out its hood pins, can result in the hood coming off. It's not a show pcs to look cool. It has purpose. Due to rather large static pressure buildup under hood at high speed, from all the grille area openings for both radiator & supercharger 'water to air' intercoolers, on both sides dwn low. You can visual witness the bk edge of the hoods literally shake/vibrating above about 60/70+ mph pushing upwardson hood. I know, I own one. Ford engineers installed these additional hood latches to avoid any mishaps. If you remove the rain tray as he speaks to in the video, it does help reduce this force upward, that's trying to push the hood off the car. No idea what it would take mph wise, to risk lifting w/o the latches. Point is, they are not for show. They serve a real purpose.
@@mattmorris2867 ok Matt.👍 Think wat ya want. Anyone who thks the hood latches on these cars is fluff...?? Clearly yourself included = 🤡 U believe Ford Engineers wasted time & money, adding components for fun huh?. People who don't own these GT500'S, like yourself, are sadly jealous. U try typin on a tiny ph keypad w/banana finger sized hands... I'll thk of U next drive in our '22 GT500 🤣 😄 😂 .. *Doubt It*
Yeah same with stupid ass beauty covers less heat is always better to a ° this might have to do with fuel cause you probably get colder air so you need more fuel
@@WrongSpades idk, my subie with its parachute of a hood scoop doesn’t get much of anything other than road debris or trash in it.Not really any risk of getting leaves in the gt500 considering that it will probably be parked in a garage and not under any trees. Rain on the other hand would be an issue with its cold air intake.
Cold air intakes that require oil to be put on the filter its self also keeps water out to a point they are water resistant not only that cars nowadays you can take it to the car wash and spray any angle and almost anywhere if you see a power wash warning or a power wash handle with a x in it that is when you want to be careful if you do get water in the engine bay but yes you can wash your engine and is safe for most vechicle since all of your fluids fill tubes or radiator have gaskets the electronics and wiring harnesses can get wet as well however be careful of the battery and fuse box/ ubec
Serious question if anyone knows, y cant u just take off the tray permanently so u can always have better cooling? my guess is rain n shit but idk. Hoping someone is big brain
It's a rain tray to stop excessive amounts of rain from getting into the engine compartment. You can take the tray out for normal driving on public roads just pop it back in when it starts raining.
i definitely would take this over a challenger hellcat, better built and much more sophisticated, definitely my all time favorite mustang variation, i just got gran turismo 7 and i bought a GT350 on there lol
Yeah this gen is no joke. Not only does it run circles in the handling department but everything else is far better as well. Def not built like the previous mustangs. Gt 350 is the best imo for the sound alone. Also unlike dodge ford pushes these out to be tune and mod ready, well not so much the v6 but the 4 cylinder, 5.0 and 5.2. shoot I got some vids of my ecoboost mustang on my channel, the thing pulls first gen gt 500s pretty hard, beats a stock gt and will beat a stock gt 350 from a dig up to about 100. My ecoboost with a few mods makes more hp and waaay more torque than a stock gt. And a stock gt with a turbo slapped on can easily make 700 plus whp. Literally every version of mustang u can buy now 2.3, 5.0 and 5.2 comes with an lsd, twin clutch ten speed and most importantly they all come stock ready to be boosted or in the EcoBoost case ready for more boost.
Lebanon Ford in Ohio sells 800+hp Mustangs w/warranty for not much more than normal sticker price, I'd much rather have that than a Dodge I see a million of a day.
@@4touchdowns1game29 nice comment, but I have to say you're wrong when you said that dodge doesn't push cars out that are tune or mod ready. There's plenty you can do to the RT, Scat and Hellcat to make very easy power as well. Other than that, comment is still pretty solid on mustang capabilities
Yea i thought i knew everything about a gt500 but i didnt know about that cover you take off for the track. Thanks for the info for something im not gonna be able to afford tho.💀
Because we call it something else? Just because they call it something different doesn’t mean it’s not the same thing, and it definitely isn’t cringe worthy. Let people say stuff how its natural for them to say, it’s not a big deal.
We cringe every time you say ‘hood’ - oh, and when you suggest anything to do with handling, technical efficiency, build quality, styling, etc etc etc etc etc etc.
@@kevindumais9610 that last comment of yours doesn’t even make grammatical sense, besides, the original comment already made that point, but thanks for your input all the same.
I got an even more interesting kernel of information for everyone. The vents are angled toward the windshield because at high speeds air pressure actually create a draft off the windshield that drives air into the engine bay. Wooooooooooahhhhhhh
i love watching rich dudes be passionate about their toys; its not ostentatious at all its just "share this with me!" vibe. I love it honestly. Too many dudes with too many zeroes in their bank account want to "Be seen" with something they dont even like but its expensive.
I'll admit I stopped being a fan of Mustang after the fox body style was discontinued. But now I like what I see in this new body style; it just has that mean looking style to it, I love the look!
There’s actually a little man living inside your hood in a Shelby ! The little man turns on his A.C unit inside his apartment that’s inside your hood to COOL DOWN your Shelby ! 🐉🐍
@@Shmeebites Looking at it now indeed they are red! The GT500 is probably the Shmeemobile I think of the most and had it in my head that the pin stripes are orange! It's perfection then 🔥
