Just thinking about how absolutely _paralyzed with fear_ I would be in this situation. I would never be able to run from room to room and get things done like Maya does, I'd be too terrified of running into the guy. This game is like what most of my nightmares are about: being chased around and around in circles by some scary entity, and you always manage to stay pretty far ahead of them, but it's still scary because there's _no way out._

i love how jimmy is such a gentleman and doesn’t kill you but he puts you in a room to take a little nap

rose: my child is completely fine. her child: sets a girl's hand on fire, gets said girl drunk enough to fall down the stairs to her death, drives a psychiatrist to suicide... amongst other things.

Harvey is my favorite character in this game. despite everything jimmy had done at that point and how angry he was at him, when the fire started Harvey still went down to try and get jimmy out of the basement so he wouldn't die down there. His actions might seem extreme sometimes but he's genuinely just frustrated with everything jimmy had done. And he still had a heart and cared about others.

This is the most intense game of hide-and-seek I've ever seen.

I do love how chill Harvey is. Harvey just goes "Yeah man its Harvey." And "yeah I can hear you" and everyone else is more proper it seems

When he catches you he takes your keys. Thats why you have none left, you need to refind them. When you use the mirror it automatically brings him to the floor you're on.

Jimmy seems very clever after all, closing the door just to fake his leave so Markiplier can get out of his hide is impressive

Coming from a british person, hotels like these are scattered everywhere. Same carpet, same wallpaper, same everything. There is one in scarborough (on the coast) and it sits on the very edge of a cliff. It is HUGE and is probably one of my worst fears.

I like how Mark thinks that Jimmy being a crazy psychopath, who toys with other people and enjoys their suffering, is not in any way related to all the other people getting annoyed with poor little Jimmy and his violent antics. I mean, he is only trying to kill them or destroy their lives after all. what a swell guy. it just a harmless little joke that he always assault the player on sight with a bat.

Pro tips: 1. Scrying mirror reveals your location to Jimmy 2. Hiding in the bathroom is a lot less safe than being in the closet 3. Don’t save outside of a room, especially if you aren’t going back to it when you get knocked out. Save after leaving a dangerous situation (using scrying mirror) so you can try again. 4. Lock Jimmy in rooms. Other comments probably show how to do this better, but if you call for Jimmy and leave and you have the key to the room, you can lock it and have some time before he escapes 5. Use the scrying mirror only when you need to or when you are safe. Lower floors, by elevators, etc. 6. Ghost locations are usually signaled by the flickering lights. Follow them to get to the scene, no need to run from them. 7. Jimmy cannot get you if you are in the elevator. If you see him by the elevator, get to it quickly instead of running. 8. Tutorial, Tutorial, TUTORIAL! Trust me, it’s so worth it. Makes the game take less time to complete and gives you lots of good tips.

I just wanted to say, I love the fact he's gone through the whole game without locking Jimmy into any rooms..

it's impressive how they codified everything. The fact that Jimmy tricked you by closing the door so that it looked like he was gone, but instead he was HIDING in the bathroom... Damn really nice detail, really makes it look Jimmy like a smart little bastard.

You know all this could be avoided if maya simply tried to bash at the glass entrance with the chairs in the lobby or anything in the kitchen. It’s a hotel not a prison or a bank and it doesn’t even seem like a 5 star hotel so there’s a good chance the glass isn’t tempered or bullet proof so I would start banging at the glass until it gave and and shattered allowing me to escape and get help before I decide to go toe to toe with spanky and his ghost friends

You gotta love how Maya finds a gun, a sword, a crossbow, and bats, and never thinks to use any of them on Jimmy.

You're alot better off hiding in the wardrobe when jimmy is coming in the room, hiding in the bathroom only gives you a 50% chance of surviving. If you hide in the wardrobe and jimmy sees you enter it he will hide in the bathroom to ambush you. Thats your que to run outside (dont do anyhting else or he will catch you, just head straight for the door) and lock the door behind you if you have the deadlock key, it buys you some time :) Your best tool is to listen for footsteps, if you can't hear anything and he's already entered the room that means he has gone in the bathroom.

After watching Mark play this game for so long, it's like you can almost forget that Maya had friends before and that they were murdered. For the longest time it has felt like just her.

I think one of the most frustrating things is when he goes into any room and doesn't check the drawers for the keys. Deadlocking the doors is so handy and essential, in my opinion. If you know Jimmy is gonna take your stash, other than the master key, then I'd wanna take every opportunity to get them back to give myself the best chance of not getting thwacked. 😅
