Your recipe is simply the best!!! from following one of your earlier recipe I saw where I went wrong with making my black cake... My wife is Caucasian and doesn't know how to make this. Originally from Grenada but family members never took time to show you anything there!... Thanks a million... your texture is exactly how I love my black cake.. If you never heard it before I appreciate your channel so much and your instructions are so clear... Happy Holidays
Thanks for taking time to leave a comment/review!! Really happy that my recipe is helpful 🙏🏽Thanks so much for the kind words and support! Happy holidays!
Hey, I have mentioned it on your Instagram stories, black cake is one of my favorite Trini Christmas foods! My mother made this a lot during the holiday season and it tastes so good. I am proud to be a Trini and like what people say 'Trini Christmas is the best!' oh yeah. 😉
yummy!!! What you did with the fruits, is just BRILLIANT!!! All the BRIGHTEST and WARMEST BLESSINGS to you and yours *hugs PS: what are the other names of the Japanese sweet potato, you told me, I forgot :) Thx in advance.
Thanks!! That's how my mom always makes it so soaking fruits wasn't a thing in our home. Lol I only know it as Japanese sweet potato. I don't think there are other names

Can u convert the A.P flour in ounce/ pounds? I've used a similar recipe , only difference was 4 cups of flour & it took like forever to bake. Im here wondering how much longer 2 1/2 cups will take. You cakes have a lovely texture though. This is how i like mine.
Hi! This is 1/2 lb of flour. Yeah, after much experimenting, I prefer using less flour to get that pudding texture. If you use more, you'll end up with a very dense cake
