Just witnessed a woman in her thirties sing this song with a clear, beautiful voice while waiting for a train on the platform. It was surreal and I was touched, to say the least.

This lady was the sound track to my voyage around the world on my own yacht, she is amazing!!!

Sitting here at twenty past midnight with tears in my eyes...again. This song meant so much to me since I met my wife back in 2003. We both loved Dido and her amazing angelic voice. Now I just turned 39, got divorced 4 years ago and pretty much lost everything and everyone I once thought to grow old with, after suffering from a burnout depression that almost killed me. It's been hard to realize how privileged I really was back then, how fragile life can be at times. Well, still miss those times, she will always own a place in my heart and I wish her all the luck she can get. Rejoice and let Dido's voice sooth your soul!

My brother loved Dido. He went through the ice on a snowmobile 2001. Had custody of his 2 children... 4 boy's in the family and the only one that had children!!! He so loved Dido...all of her songs spoke his life!!! Thank you.

The song "White Flag" means being in love with a person who's already moved on. She basically has made a lot of mistakes in the relationship,but she is still willing to love him regardless of that. While he has moved on and found him another girl,she still has feelings for him (And when we meet,which I'm sure we will,and was there,will be there still. I let it pass and hold my tongue and you will think that I've moved on). So she is pretending that she doesn't love and have feelings for him. She is pretending that she has moved on. In the end,no matter what he do and who he's with,she will always becin love with him. In the end of the music video,they are both looking at each other's pictures of when they were together on the wall

I’ve been married for 15 years, have an amazing daughter and I’m extremely happy, but it’s inevitable that old memories & feelings sometimes return. This performance is my “go to” on those occasions as I somehow feel like I can relate to Dido’s pain & emotion. One of my favorites!

i think most people havent really understood how powerful the lyrics are on this song. It's so true, many of us and people we know have been in such a deep relationships with someone and when its over you know nothing else and are so committed we literally want to just go down with the ship of love.
