Hey buddy. That turned out Awesome for extracting dye from a sharpie. Beautiful candy orange flake job. I had so much fun in the 80s ,that i never left...
Nice one bro, another fab video as always 👍 i wish i could get urethane at a reasonable price over here, i have tried it with tamiya clear and worked ok, didnt mix properly with 2k acrylic though...
Great idea and good thinking ! Using techniques coloring or tinting clear gives a endless range of colors ! I've owned a lot of 3rd gen F bodys myself, mostly firebirds but the occasional Camaro would appear at my house now and then. 🤣🍻
Quite often what I will do is if I paint a vehicle red, then add a nice coat of red clear it gives a great depth to the color. This would work very well for that. I'll try to remember to post a couple pics of the results on the Renegades page. Nice job.
@@diecastoutkast6839 yes lol. I actually have doubt since I can't achieve STH kind of finish with something similar technique. Instead of 2k with hardener, I decant a gloss clear and mix it with some tesco gel pen ink. Not sure I did it wrong or maybe gel ink didn't work, it looks very very translucent when sprayed despite the mixing itself are quite opaque. Did more coat with 10 min interval per coat, but it look like thin layer of red shell (kind of like iridescent overlay with some red tint) rather than clear candy red over zamac. Kinda scared to add more layer, leading it to be over thick layer and loosing detail. Not sure whether its the gel ink, my settings, or maybe the clear 1k paint. Hope you can drop some advice :D
