Corrales was a really good fighter which just goes to show you how good Floyd Mayweather was. Floyd also beat Manfredy after Manfredy had destroyed Gatti. Chico was tough RIP. His first fight with Costillo was classic.

That eye was giving him a lot of trouble, but I believe if they would have been able to have the eye hold up for another couple of rounds Gatti would have made magic happen like he was known to do in desperate situations.
There is always an excuse when it comes to mayweather. Chico was dehydrated against him but this fight was the same weight just a few months earlier. Damn just to see this and to see how long they have been salivating for brother Mayweather's downfall is crazy. It's crazy to stay on top with that amount of pressure that was on him from networks, to fans, promoters, and just everyday family and personal problems. @Jj world You just talking with your heart. Lara had his chance to be great. He didn't step up to the plate. Since his Canelo lost he's lost again and again with a few draws in between. Roy Jones was very very talented and yes a hall of famer but he lost focus and he was never fundamentally sound. Pryor a hall of famer but had substance issues took to much punishment, no defense at all. Robinson probably the greatest but I've only seen tape. And the amount of fights probably puts him there. But Floyd never out of rhythm. Never out of shape. Always composed. So focus on his craft. Even when he lost a little step, unlike Roy Jones his boxing IQ and well taught fundamentals keeped him in the game as a older man. We haven't seen many who stands in the pocket like he does. Slip punches and punch out of the shoulder roll like he does. And another thing. Paul Williams was all offensive no defense. We seen what a non boxer did to him. Knocked out cold. Because he didn't see it coming. Floyd sees everything like the damn matrix. And yes I'm biggin him up. He's father and uncles taught him well. And he listened. If you look at Floyd fights when he go to the corner and they tell him to do something he comes out the next round and atleast tries it. Man yes he's the greatest in my book. Back when fights were exciting and boxing actually had fighters with their own style and personalities. Nowadays boxers look the same and only rarely we get to see a good fight. Last good fight was Veldez vs Berchelt.

Not true. Chico was a solid fighter. Who didnt fight fight tall and for his height he had small arms. Chico man problem was he Fired his Trainer and Father after the Floyd fight and didnt manage his weight very well.

Exactly and to my knowledge, because I have all 50 fights by Floyd and his amateur and Olympics fights. Corrales had never hit the canvas? Then he fought Floyd and dropped him at least 6 times all clean and his dad who was one of his trainers threw the towel in and Diego was so pissed. Mayweather destroyed Manfredy also.

Diego had a really bad weight cut and camp but also was fighting a prison charge for the assault of his ex wife? or ex gf? so his head was not in the game. Mayweather was going through management issues or something or other. Long story short Floyd dominated him in that fight.

Ricky D I see what you're saying. And I'm not a huge Floyd fan but Floyd's arm was clearly not right in Castillo I and I think it played a major role. I don't think Floyd would have knocked Castillo down 5 times (or maybe even once) at 135 but I think it would have been a wide UD.
