Man I been looking at all his fight a pure beast. if they would have let him keep fighting Floyd there's no telling what would have happened.. He was the type of fighter if he say he quit then throw in the towel.. But if he didn't don't because he was the type of fighter who had to get knocked out before it was over..

He was beat up FAR worse in the Castillo fight than he was in the Floyd fight. I wonder if he ever spoke with his father again. I'll never forget him yelling repeatedly, "...what the fuck is wrong with you?!..."
Ray Donovan Nah Floyd was favored slightly. I remember being the only one of my friends picking Floyd to win. Initially I had Diego but studying up I seen in the Justin Jukko fight that he got hit a lot and Floyd would score easy and not get hit much in return. I didn’t imagine the performance he put on though.
One more round wouldn't have hurt anything. Look how much blood is lost in a UFC fight with a big cut from an elbow. Chico had him hurt, should have let it continue.
She could have let it go another couple of rds the cut while a deep one wasn't impeeding his eye sight & most cut Doctors would have let it go another 2-3 rounds just because it was a champion ship fight & again the cut wasn't over the eye.
A criminally underrated fight. It would have been one of the greatest fights ever if it would have continued. Doc was just doing her job, but I would have loved to see how that one would have turned out.
you don't stop a fight for a cut with excessive bleeding, you stop for a cut only if it is affecting a boxer's sight or might pose a threat to their long-term health.

ive seen boxers busted up worse than that and they didn't stop the fight. they used to always short diego corrales. they did the same thing when he fought Mayweather.
Something happened to corrales starting in the 5th round. He was either very hurt where his mouth was swollen or he had a little fear after casamayor kept busting him in the face with hard left hands. In the 5th and 6th rounds corrales was avoiding contact, backing away every time caamayor came forward. Corrales clearly had an issue, but he sucked it up right at the end of the 6th round and went to war in a wild exchange. He staggered casamayor but the round was almost over. I'm not sure that corrales wanted another round because, as I said, he didn't want to engage with casamayor for most of the 5th and 6th rounds. Whatever caused him to become defensive didn't get any better so why would he want another round after doing nothing for 2 rounds? His only incentive may have been that he hurt casamayor at the end of the 6th round but casamayor was still strong and would have been nailing him like he was the previous rounds. Corrales showed me something, after avoiding contact because his mouth was hurt he took another hard shot near the end of the 6th round. Instead of pulling away even more he said the hell with it and he went after casamayor and hurt him with a good left hook........
Great fight. Would've loved to have seen Cassamajor vs Mayweather. I know both guys like to hang back , & there was a chance it might've turned into a dull fight, but style wise Cassamajor might have posed the master boxer Mayweather some problems.
Im not a doctor but I am a boxing expert. The fight should have continued, any boxing expert will tell you the same. I have heard that doctors get sued a lot and I agree with you that the market is flooded with that kind of bullshit and it just sucks.
The cut was deep but it wasn't over the eye where in would effect his eye sight so I really think she should have gave him a couple of rds to see if the cut man could stop the bleeding because the cut just happened in the previous rd & it takes a couple of rds for the medicine to work.I think most Doctors would have given him the couple rds needed the ladie Doctor was the first time seeing her & isn't all that famaliar on how things go in boxing.
Casa was a very skilled and crafty fighter, but imo one of the dirtiest fighters I have ever seen. He lands so many headbutts that I lost count. Watch the first KD, he butts Chico directly on the chin followed by a left hand. I remember Diego saying that Casa hit him in the back of the head so many times, it was like he was fighting Casa with his back turned.
24:01 yeah I mean he was coming along at the end of round5 he got a clean left hook Diego on Casamayor face but way before that he was getting clipped Chico Corrales I don’t blame her for stopping it at 24:01 the red haired woman h was bleeding in shit his lip looked fucked up after that round you got to think man he probably had a family Chico Corrales live to fight another day
fukkin margret goodman.... 1 more round wouldn't have killed him. Plus he had Casa hurt at the end of that round. Imagine what a slugfest that 7th would have been, Chico knowing that it was his last round to finsish him. Meh.
more evidence of how underrated Diego's career was. his forgotten trilogy against Casamayor, (an olympic gold medialist, an accomplishment bragged about in today's boxing culture.) Diego lost II out of III though he never quit, and could've/would've arguably come back to win this one if it wasn't stopped. This was a better version of Marquez-Vasquez II; a great fight stopped just as it was culminating into a level that would be considered epic.
Are you guys on crack did you see the stupid chances he gave corrales against Castillo pathetic not one chance but three thats not one of the best referee corrales was out but this stupid referee gave him so long time to recover Castillo should have win by k.o but this inefficient referee didn’t like Castillo one of the worst referees ever
cyril layman a fighter can have different angles they place there feet... wen you fight with an open stance, u can hook with both hands.... power hand or lead hand. Regardless if the stance is southpaw or orthodox
He was standing in the south paw stance & landing a clean left straight punch when the announcer said he landed a left hook. You do not need to teach me any boxing specifics I have followed the sport for 49 years & boxed myself for 2.
cyril layman I️ have been in and out of a gym for 14 years now......... there were several points in this fight I️ can point to were Diego had switched to southpaw and landed a left hook... ( the last round of the fight,, the last big punch Diego lands.... short left hook from a southpaw stance.. both men had landed left hooks while fighting in a southpaw stance threw out the fight.
@@mayito714 like Bradley Pacquiao ,it's never intentionall of course ...I know heads clashs happens but leading with your is still a foul though .I think I got seen enough fights to be able to see when a fighter is trying to actually hurt his opponent with a headbutt or when it's really just by chance. just my opinion don't wanna argue about that.
