Great documentary. For me the best footballer ever. I saw his matches as a kid & til this day I watch his videos often, & he is more than an sports icon. He represents so much more. The things he would say & do were very powerful. He was very transparent I think & that's why some people hated him but he spoke for so many.
@@ChivasBarcelonaMex, the whole team and the trainer Bilardo deserve respect to, but Kempes was not on that team. He won the world cup on 78, but was a diferent team and history....
What Klinsmann said is so true. There is really no way to mark D10S. He is unstoppable. Not only his warmup is so fantastic and he could apply those technique in the actual game. Pure genius!
@@Aman1012 sometimes I wonder “what if” argentina all players healthy and the squad complete. Couldve been a different final in 90. With a different refferee of course
@@ricardopillitteri3954 A fit Maradona and Caniggia would've edged out Germany. The rest of the squad was pants with the exception of their goalkeeper.
Wow! Klinsman brought back memories of the glory years of Italian football. History lesson to the youngsters out there. Inter had the Germans. AC had the Dutch. Napoli had the South American.
Klinsman didn’t mention about the final Italy 90. The most blurry final of World Cup history. Diego surrounded by 3 or 4 German players, kicked brutally from the beginning of the game, the referee gave a penalty where Argentinian defender clearly went for a ball. To see the best of all players, Maradona crying was heartbreaking at the medal ceremony.
@@chulonger It definitely wasn't a great final to watch I agree, but if we're being honest, West Germany were the best team in that tournament and overall were worthy world champions.
@@Bill-Butcher I don’t think so. The Germans always had a team with a winning mentality but their football never been beautiful to watch and admire. In 1990 Brazil had a good team but the genius Diego destroyed them by running from defensive midfielder to pass the winning ball to Canigna . The English and the Italian were good but some times you have to have luck in 90 minutes game.
Maradona proved to the world that only he has the ability to create miracle for a small club like Napoli with limited good players, this achievement shall never be matched by great individual sportmans like Usian Bolt, Mohamamd Ali, Tiger Woods, Michael Phelps and Roger Federer
it is no one can be maradona even messi,cr7 and Pele why Messi- lacks the 🔥 that maradona had for the country Cr7-lacks the magic of foot that DM had Pele- similar kind of Messi lacks the 🔥 as a captain to stand for team to protect them on the field that's why no one can be maradona As a Messi fan
It wouldnt matter if messi won 5 world cups.Maradonas touch of the ball was on another level. If you have to explain to someone why he is the best ever then there is no point if they cannot see it they missed out on his magic their loss!
Before i knew football, i knew Maradona. His images of playing in the Argentinian stripe was more popular than any movie star. But then his antiques outside the field made me hate him and then slowly his image faded to the back of my mind. Then i learn that he died today, and all of sudden, tears started streaming down. And i knew the adoration was unconditional. Thank you Diego Maradona for making me a fan of football. May you find peace. Legend.
What's legendary about drug cheating at USA 94 with 5 stimulants in his system, one being ephedrine? Or are we just going to forget that? Or cheating with his hand? Or the fact he's a junkie?
@@juanperasso4742 It is you who is ignorant, he was found with 5 stimulants in his system, one being ephedrine. As soon as he was confirmed as a drugs cheat he discredited his legitimacy as a so called great. Too many 'Ignorant' people need to understand he wanst banned for cocaine, he was banned for drug cheating. We must also consider that during that time, drug testing was pretty minimal, so who's to say he didn't cheat in 86? Once you're found out as a cheat, you are a cheat. Yes he had cocaine in his system but this doesn't take away the other things in his system.
I watched the Netflix series "Maradona in Mexico" last night and everything Klinsmann said about his personality is true. The man was extremely down to earth, humble, and was kind to everyone he came in contact with, big or small. Always hugging everyone, smiling, and spreading the love. The man was revered like a God but he sure didn't act like one. That's what I took away from the series.
He DID act like a god and winner on the field . His personal life , i live it to him . Everyone takes drugs in the ugly western world . He Probably beat your team . WiNk
@@tonymaner5510 It wasn't easy on the eye. Maradona was injured throughout the finals. His teammates were painfully ordinary apart from Caniggia who was suspended.
@@randomrainbow8878 You can call me hater all you want but facts don't care about your feelings. The fact is he cheated multiple times. He's a junkie and It's moronic to celebrate a Cheater. By celebrating him you condone cheating and encourage kids to take drugs. He was no role model and if cheating is what gets a player noticed then I'm content in my view of him.
Diego Maradona is the best soccer player of all time on planet earth. It is really sad that he passed away too soon. No other player like him! So gifted player! We will surely miss him.

When People argued about who is the 🐐 When you mention Messi it's Barca, can't win with the national team, bottler... When you mention Ronaldo it's graft and lack of natural talent, dry, penaldo... When you mention Pele it's how many goals were official, Garrincha, the Viagra Ad... But mention the name Maradona... the whole room goes slient! Not a maestro, he was, is and will the maestro!
Tenho muita admiração por esse ex jogador alemão . O Maradona foi um grande jogador, mais infelizmente era muito polêmico. Então da Argentina prefiro o Messi.
