In this video I show how I use the Bulletproof tool to fix a crack in #5 injector bore. 3 and 5 are the most common area. I have good luck and the shops that I know who use it are also very happy with it.

Great video as always Ron. You are a rare breed out there and your boss, if you have one is a lucky man and the dealership where you are is fortunate to have you as a tech. This type of knowledge and work ethic you have is a blessing. Take care and be safe.

Great video. I use your videos to help me Diagnose a lot of the 6.0s I'm seeing these days. Really helpful! Thank you. I have a friend with his 6.0l welding truck parked because of fuel in the coolant. He does get a large amount of fuel in the coolant quickly. Also has overheating issues. Is their a point where you cannot use this tool by bullet proof?

Have you tried "DAWN" dish detergent to clean the oil out of the cooling system ? Its said to be used on the big trucks.

Good video I have a question I put a EGR delete the SCT tuner on street performance I do not over max lighting I keep up with all my maintenance and replace my dummy plugs and the majority of my sensor just for the heck of it but my question is when my coolant temperature hit operating system at 190 the oil temp I notice sometimes depending on the weather would it will drop about 10--15. Then go back to operating temperature under oil. No check engine light no loss of coolant or smell of gas. I do a lot of highway driving could it be my trouble that hasn't not being clean Thank u.

Is it ok to let water run all over the engine like that? Just checking before I attempt a flush soon. Thanks Ron!

As long as the seal/insulation is in each connector you won't hurt a thing. I do it daily for years

Do these heads literally just crack, or is it caused from using starter fluid on start up or missing real bad exc?

I do have a 2004 Ford F350 V8 Powerstroke Super Duty with exactly same problem. I am wondering how much it will cost me to have some one to do a great fixing problem job like this one? Any ballpark?

How could you tell there was diesel in the cooling system? By smell or did you test it exc
@DieselTechRon

It is obvious by smell and visual. Not 100% sure on the cause but out here in the desert hardly anyone uses starting fluid.

After some time has the Repair remained good?

This was on a major heavy boom truck. They are right down the road from us. they're still using it and it has not come back. So I think so.

is there a chance of injector damage on the leaking cylinder due to low fuel pressure at the cup? just thinking if the fuel is leaking past it might not be completely filling the fuel chamber in the injector.
@DieselTechRon

That would have to be a major leak to lose fuel pressure. At least that amount. It might happen but you'll have fuel pouring out the coolant bottle if it was pumping that amount through a crack. I've had 7.3 crack enough to allow coolant back when shut off. That damages an injector.
