they say its a full engine rebuild but you get a set of piston rings and a set of shells and they reuse all old parts for 2-3 k ,for 3k pound you can buy all new engine parts and diy it.
The manual I have is a printed book in Ukrainian language. If you have questions I will look out answer and let you know. Very busy at the moment, so it may take a while to answer
Another interesting video, by trade are you an engineer as you seem to have a lot knowledge, I agree what you say about the size of engines, i have a ford custom van 2.2 but have a tuning box giving more power, i tow a trailer with tools in and would love a v6 3.0, i dont understand why van engines are so small, turbo is no good when fully loaded on a hill as you lots of rpm to get the turbo spooling up...
Thanks for the comment. The question about my trade is hard to answer as my original training and very first professional qualification is in veterinary medicine, what pays the bills today is welding work. But this is not 100% accurate as in welding business company produce custom products that sometimes require machining and engineering work and also offer mobile welding services. So as you can see, it is a hard one to answer with one short statement, i like to think that i am in the business to sort other people's problems 🙂.
Im rebuilding 2.0 tdi bmp, so it might be similar to your's, so the question is -the oil scraper ring, does it matter whitch way it goes? Because my mahle new ring pack had no top sign on these. So what do you think?
Not sure, i have no experience with any other engines. Considering that petrol or gas engine is slightly different in design as far as fuel delivery and ignition system concerns i would suggest watching some of the videos from ru-vid.com and ru-vid.com I picked u tons of useful information from them and they do work on gas engines rather than Diesel. i think this would be more beneficial to you and more relevant despite not being VW. No matter what, have fun!
