This video shows the difference between Frame Structure and Truss Structure. Truss structure is a type of structure where members are connected at nodes and members are subjected to only axial loads like compression and tension forces. In case of truss structure the loads are always applied at the nodes. Frame structure is a type of structure which have combination of different structural members like beam, column, slab. These all members behave differently from one another. They have shear forces , bending moments and axial forces. Loads can be applied anywhere on the structure.
