This video is very good information for many artists in India who have no idea about the royalties they are missing out. One correction I would add is about Songtrust. Especially if an artist i a member with a PRO in Europe, like GEMA or SUISA, he does not need Songtrust. These PROs also collect the mechanical royalties.
Thank you so much, the same goes for India as well, but to be honest there's a whole lot of sections of mechanical royalties which these PROs can't collect (this is inside information). Songtrust can help in that, and the global collection management of a publishing administrator is better than PROs themselves.

Sorry beforehand if it's too long. 1) What DAW do you use for music production, recording, mixing, and mastering? Any Daw suggestions for independent artist who do everything on their own like you? 2) Let's just say that initially I don't own a Daw, and with a limited budget, I got an audio interface and studio headphones. Is there any way to work commercially or publish my songs if i am using the trial version , or should i wait until I purchase a license? Do you have any suggestions for this situaion? 3) A video on how to start a record label and Should an independent artist even start a record label for themselves, or should they release music under their artist name? Do they need to setup another business for music production and engineering services? I don't want these serviced tracks in my discography; I want my only original music there. Please guide me here 4) I saw this in a few music topic channels' descriptions: Provided to RU-vid by tunecore/distrokid etc. Is there any possibility to change it to the artist name, like Provided to RU-vid by SirGamma ? 1. I use FL studio, but that doesn't matter. You can set your workflow on any professional daw and achieve the output you want. If you're a Windows user, you can try FL, Cubase, Ableton, Pro tools and Logic if you're a Mac user. 2. In this case I'll prefer you get a Daw first, then get the hardware. Free versions won't give you limitations that you don't need for a professional output. 3. A video related to the music label is coming soon on the channel, so stay tuned. Also, it doesn't matter if you work with someone in the studio or you do things yourself, the output matters and the type of contract / deal done with the people you're working with matters. 4. Sir i used ASCAP but i am from india and as a non us individual artist i applied there can i have to apply to iprs also and one more thing that in ASCAP there also has publisher portion if i also apply for publisher can i have to sign up for song trust also
On ana average Spotify give around $2200 - $3200 per million streams, and this would change depending on the country where songs are streaming, listener's payment plan with the DSP, etc.

Thanks sir could you please confirm what does PPL o in india coz most of the major labels and indie labels of india are signed with PPl but hey only sined labels with major growth . They collect royality from fashion shows, college functions , and alots of other medias . Biggest confusion between IPRS AND PPL . Do iprs do same thing as ppl do .
PPL collects amounts from concerts for the publishers, I'll try and make a video on this soon. You can apply for registration, and if you have all the documents then they'll most probably consider your registration
