The Omo part is what always gets me cracking my ribs. You get to the supermarket an request for 'Omo ya Ariel' which means 'Ariel Omo soap'. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Yes we have knorr. Maggie cubes is a brand name but we mostly refer to it as chicken/ beef cube generally because we have many brands.

Pilipili is in Swahili while pepper is English word,garage is where they repair or do service for motors,, education sector has also changed to the new curriculum although it used to be in the past b4 the 8-4-4 system,,sufuria is Swahili, I even heard ( Keke) for Nigeria while Kenya it's called (tuktuk) 😂😂😂 ua work is appreciated ❤❤❤

Bedsitter a more common word in Nairobi but in other towns like Mombasa self-contained is more common. However, nowadays Mombasa people are adopting the name bedsitter

We also call the bleach Jik but its one of the bleach. I guess you used hypo so much not Jik. Kenyans also call powder detergent as OMO, of which omo is one of brand but was sold for long time.🇰🇪🇰🇪

I attended school in the 80s in Kenya and we had 7 years in Primary school and 6 years before Uni; 4 years Secondary( Form 1 2,3 &4) and 2 years High school ( Form 5&6). The system changed to 8-4-4 in the late 80's.

Bedsitter is just a single room house with a washroom inside the house. ie the sitting area,bedroom area is the same For other house types we just say the number of bedrooms eg 1 or 2 bdrm house Jik is quite common actually. But we use bleach to refer to all of them

Self contained has different rooms meant for kitchen, bedroom and sitting room while a bedsitter is a specious single room with table and sink for kitchen and cooker and a space for sitting room the only demarcation is the toilet.

Maggie- we call it Royco cube. Theres also knorr and maggi cubes here in Kenya. Just ask for royco cubes. Knorr and royco cubes are more common in all supermarkets. Maggi was an old brand, you might find it in indian spice shops, but not guaranteed.

We also call pilipili pepper in English but pronounced as "pepa" In our education system, we mostly pronounce "sound U" as a thats why we call it "bäs ( bus) Looking forward to that accent challenge program. All spices ARE NOT KNOWN AS RYOCO, Ryoco, is just one of the many spices we have, which is in two forms, cubes or powder.We have Maggie cubes. We have knor cubes. We have Jik. Maybe you spoke to one mumu.

For spices not all are called Royco we have alot Royco (the powder), Royco cubes, Knorr and then our other numerous spices which you can call viungo (spices) all in all you do your research well and your hair in this video looks amazing
