The only thing you missed was the check writing -customized halter, shine sprays, hoof black, polish, three kinds of clippers, a cabinet full of supplements, training saddle, show saddle …. 🤓
Heading the line about dressage riders being drama queens has brought me back to so many fun conversations at the barn. All of us live in a stretch of small towns so someone will have gossip from their surrounding towns and in exchange I give them the town gossip. Though my town gossip is more of things that should be on the news but because it’s a small town in who knows where, no one cares. So, I go to the barn with the latest church burnings and my friends go their with the latest town conflict. It’s like group therapy.
Can you PLEASE do a "Mares vs Geldings" Episode? You have experienced both, so please share! I think that would be funny. Thanks (btw...I have NOTHING against either one....I ride and love both)
....because we're still bonding, recovering from acorn poisoning, and creating a new area for my Daisy. Plus, the only tack I own is a lead and a halter. I'm looking more like the naturalist! haha I liked her best anyway, she was the sweetest and the cutest; wearing that dandelion in her hair, just chillin on the grass.
These videos are the highlight of my day, knowing there will be another hilarious, informative or just amazing in some way video coming every week. Thanks for all that you do if you see this!
Congratulations to you Carmella, you look very funny. You are obviously a good actress! 😂😂👌🏻 You also seem to have a little knowledge about these types of equestrians... 😅 I love some of the sarcastic ideas you may have used here.😄 I 'm a very...ooh yes, old rider, 59 years old. I understood that ego in equestrian' s world should not be too big or too fat, nor too small of course. The most important thing, to myself, is to enjoy every moment of simply being side by side with horses . 🐎❤ I love your simplicity and great smiles Carmella. I wish you the best with Colin and your horses and all your barn's animals. Love from France. 😄🤗💖🇫🇷
That’s hilarious! I have one to add The disabled rider! I have had odd symptoms, all my life, and finally, after I had almost become fully certified to be a therapeutic riding instructor and I was teaching basic to low jump English. I got diagnosed with a couple of degenerative diseases very quickly. Through coaching I honestly have experienced every type of rider there’s a skill set that comes with each style. And I really like to break the norms and put everything together in my own way whatever works for each rider. The biggest thing I really dislike is the judgement that can come at times. The community is actually pretty small once you get really into it it’s really important to be supportive of each other. I have worked through becoming severely ill to keep joker. He was a rescue and I promised him the day that I got him but I would never sell him. He is my heart I got for my 16th birthday and truly him and my husband are the best things that I’ve ever happened to me. This video just really reminded me all of all the different skills and how entertaining it is when you see somebody who’s really really stuck in their ways and doesn’t wanna look at any other perspective. Thanks for your videos I just started looking at them, and even though I have experience, I have to learn how to do a lot of things since I’m becoming more disabled as I’m getting older And I’m now doing therapeutic grading for myself ! Thanks for this hilarious video. I’m gonna watch it again cause it cracked me up.
Spot on!!! The adult dressage hunter jumper trail riding whatever. Thing about geldings vs mares is so so true. Although my Fsncy had her gelding moments she was always boss of the pasture.
This was so funny and I loved it only thing is you merged hunters and show jumping (jumpers), hunters is horse looks, show jumping (jumpers) is speed. They’re just combined at shows, but they are two different disciplines. But besides that I loved this video, so funny
Haha I'm def the foxhunter, I like watching videos of other styles but in real life just shove the nearest tack on and head off without a clue where I'm going :-) I do have a working pony too though . A mini driver who fetches hay and delivers manure
Wannabe foxhunter & Quorn country native here - we dress up because the hunt is the holiday from decadence: it's all about making a massive thing out of something which doesn't actually matter to break out of our purposeless, meaningless lives, even just for a morning. This is why nobles like it.
LMAOOO I will say the only thing I really disagree with as a Hunter/Jumper is basically, the faster I am the happier I am, and I love chestnuts, though ofc your video was just a gerneralization lmao, overall, VERY FUNNY
