I loved my courses with Dr. Friedman at U.C. San Diego, some of the best teaching I experienced at the university. I last saw Dr. Friedman at Princeton Theological Seminary where I was attending graduate school from 85-88. Thank you Dr. Friedman.

I took his class. Brilliant, brilliant man. Changed my outlook of the Bible and my life.

Thank you for still having this available: I have throughly enjoyed reading Dr. Friedman's two books "Exodus" and the 2nd Edition of "Who Wrote the Bible". I shall share this with some of my friends.

_Who Wrote the Bible_ is still the best thing I've ever read concerning the documentary hypothesis and in my opinion is one of the most important books of the century concerning the bible.

I have his book. It's a great book. I'm really happy that the truth about who wrote the Bible is told and getting rid of false traditional teachings.

No, it's nothing like that at all. He shows how Israel during their civil war, which lasted a few hundred years, probably each had their own versions of the Torah, and that when the two kingdoms merged later on, they also merged their religious writings, and this accounts for many of the incongruities within the Old Testament.

what a privilege it is to be able to sit in on this.

I would like to know what lines he was talking about when Prof. Friedman said "there are lines that we don't cross." With the state this world is in due to the literal reading of the bible, we need to start crossing lines. I highly respect Prof. Friedman and other bible scholars, such as Prof. Ehrman who are willing to take the heat to tell us the truth and facts about the bible.

I ordered Friedman's book recently based on a RU-vid lecture of his that I recently viewed. As an aside, I would hate to be taught by Thomas Levy. The slow pace of his speech is downright painful.

His book "Who Wrote the Bible?" is like stripping the Bible naked. For over two thousand years people have been fooled, and are still fooled...

I know I've been taught all my life about the Bible but sometimes it seems to not make sense and do we really truly know where it came from just like they always setting something in place for us you know the people don't talk about and you know I want to believe everything about it but it's sometimes just don't make sense contradicting I know I always a God is good and he's good all the time and when I listen to some of the scriptures on the flood and some of the other scriptures next time fire and hell how can a loving God take us through all that I understand now with curtain Pearson talks about he's not the only one talking already against a few peoples out there call it that Heidi mention and who can say God did not talk to him can't nobody judging cuz if God said something to him I mean who can say God didn't I don't think he would have left his church his members is something drove him in the inside and if he heard from God who can condemn him no one yeah baby online all the pastors in the prophets and you know he don't call no names but they be tens of thousands online well I respect a man he came out with it he didn't care nobody think and he still in the wheel of the Lord he still believe there's a God in Jesus is something else he just don't agree with the health situation and a few other things but you know I feel like that sometimes you know especially when you you always in God face nothing but God godly stuff doing everything you know godby and you praying constantly but you don't see the results I guess his time is different than ours so you know we can expect it it might come unexpected when you're not even thinking it's coming but he's been good to me but I just you know feel some kind of way too about the complete Bible no some of the scriptures and books it can't even find out who wrote it I do know there's a guy I believe everything that's in me but you got to believe in the Sun in order to get to God I believe I believe strongly but sometimes I'm confused just like tonight I was watching the movie Jesus he's I think it was tell the merry husband saying if you got bad eyes you don't see nothing but it's nothing but darkness in you and I have lost my eye vision in one of my eyes and I'm like wow you talking to me I don't want to receive that because I lost my vision and one eye on full of darkness no so some things I just you know I just I don't know I pray for the truth the life and the light that the holy Spirit lead and guide me we all know exactly because Google says the Bible stories are allegory I'm kind of mess is that
